Backstory: Ren grew up in a normal suburban family in Australia, she learnt of her powers at a young age and proceeded to use it at her advantage whenever possible. She was taken to the Merus Academy as soon as they could take her, and the staff proceeded not to allow her outside the Academy walls for the next 6 years because of all the damage she had done and was doing. She was a gifted student and flew through all of her work with ease, although her most of her talents were wasted due to her lazy attitude toward the school work. There was one thing she loved and spent hours doing though, and that was painting and sketching. Her artwork was brilliant, and she knew it. She could spend days painting and forget about the real world completely in the midst of it.
She was moved to Sylvan Academy because she had used her Ability on a teacher and used him as a tool to get perfect grades, although she didn't need it. Fed up with all of her misbehaviour and all the trouble she had caused she was sent to Sylvan Academy to be straightened out, although whether that will work or not is another story.

Backstory: Simon Was born in the country in Indiana,to a loving and caring family.Or so it seemed from the outside.In reality,Simon's father was a drunk,and his mother had been long dead.His brothers,who should have helped him,usually beat him repeatedly.The beatings themselves started at around the age of four.when Simon's mother died in a car accident.Every day,he would be beaten,shoved into a closet for the day,and only fed measles.At around age of six,Simon was introduced to the belt.Age nine,the use of a whip if his father was particularly drunk that day.One day,while they were beating him,his father said " Your nothing but a waste of space ! Your mother would be ashamed of you ! ".AT this,something snapped inside Simon.He does not remember exactly what happened,but he knows he killed his father,and the rest of his family.After this,he became a vagrant,until one day meeting a monk on a trip from japan or china.However,he was hulk that day,and attempted to kill the man.The monk,using magic,forced him into his human form.AFfer that,and some trus building on the Monks part,he lived with the monk,taking on Buddhism.
