Hello. It is I, your favorite yak. I have made for you today a souffle. It is very special, and I have worked lots on it. Hopefully, it won't deflate, and it'll taste good too. Only time will tell.
Present Day
Present Time
A Greyhound bus rolled down the highway, leaving a small cloud of dust behind it. It was an ordinary bus, full of ordinary people, on an ordinary day, taking ordinary trips to ordinary destinations. Nothing was strange, nothing was out of place. The driver- a bald man, seemingly in his thirties, with aviator shades and a toothy grin, stared down the desolate stretch of road. The passengers, a motley bunch of... normal... people, did whatever it is that "normal people" do on a long bus ride. Everything was as it should be, according to that dead word, "normal".
And then the bus stopped.
This was not due to the driver, who looked fairly perplexed himself. Or he probably did, if he didn't have aviators and a mile-wide grin to cover up such an expression. No, the engine simply cut out. It wouldn't have been strange, but everyone's various electronics also stopped working at the same time. One of the passengers- it doesn't really matter who it was, now- realized it was an electromagnetic pulse. The precursor to a nuclear war. Panic had just begun to set in when the bus driver cleared his throat, and wordlessly gestured to an opening in the cliff next to the road. A cave, it seemed- the perfect shelter for when the bombs hit. The panic diverted into a relieved rush for the aperture. The driver did not accompany his charges, but no one really cared, even when the rumbling started. Maybe it was just an earthquake, or maybe the end really WAS nigh. Either way, the opening to the cave was sealed with a rockslide. The survivors regained their senses and sat up just in time to see the back wall of the cave crumble as well, revealing an intense blue light.
And they were gone.

In short, this is an RP about a bunch of ordinary people called upon to become extraordinary through time travel. I can't tell you much more right now, but you'll find out more in the short intro IC we're about to do. All I can say is, make characters that you like regardless of the setting, because we will be doing a lot of scene changes. The RP's plot is going to move along at a good clip, but it won't actually be that fast-paced relative to RL, and we'll be working with everyone's schedules. Hell, I'm writing this from a hotel in Vegas. All I ask is that you try your best to stay active, and by all means, tell me before you vanish. Just say "Hey, I'm about to disappear for a bit" or something. I'm fairly lax about that sort of thing because this is a time travel RP, and sudden disappearances can be explained by having someone get "out of phase with the timeline" or some other technobabble. Finally, Konariona has helped me bake this souffle, and is the Co-OP. If I'm not available (even yaks are busy sometimes) then Kona will run the show until I am once again present.
So, to review:
-Wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.
-Make a character you enjoy RPing as.
-Tell me before you up and leave.
-Konariona is the co-OP.
