You know, if he didn't change it, it wouldn't really cause a problem. We could say, "From the rotting flesh of the Whale of Destruction came a new being, born of the blubber and the cold of depths of the sea..."

Well, I guess so, but now it's done.

Heck, he wouldn't even have to change his domain. He could be the son of the sea god with limited powers over the oceans. Just enough to keep them from boiling away.

I just had an idea. Kilil ends up dying, but instead of boiling away, the oceans simply become stormy and full of sea monsters.
