Sorry, but I'm going to say no for now. But I was thinking, America shouldn't have it either. It totally slipped my mind that it was independent. So really, it belongs to no one.

It seems it was while also partly subordinate to America as there was favorable trading and Pearl Harbor is still America's in 1885.

Yeah it was a protectorate, but still nominally independent.

How about you ally with Britain, France, and Russian and in return Britain will let you take Hawaii.

If it was part of China proper I wouldn't accept it, but since the north seems to be held by nomads and bandits I allowed it.

I did suggest China take all of China, but he didn't.

I already have a military mission in Japan and am only looking to expand in Africa, so why can't we be friends?

It really depends on what he feels. I have great relations with China and Korea though

@Vehemia That area contains about most of Beijing but since he didn't take it I assumed it ok.
