Foolish low-techs, I shall use THIS as my weapon of mass destruction.
Ion Cannons that can turn entire cities into craters do better than nukes that can only kill most life within a few miles.
Ion Cannons got more control, and more focused radiation.
Everything within firing radius destroyed/disintegrated/killed instantaneously.

Everything within firing radius destroyed/disintegrated/killed instantaneously.

Nukes can get bigger, and leave behind fallout to kill more stuff. Also, Bunkerbuster+nuke=world in Flames.

Also, a satellite with nukes can hit more targets than an ion cannon. In addition, radiation leaves many forms of communication useless, and the EMP can fry electronics.
