I certainly feel sorry for you. City-ships present a massive set of problems all on their own.

Yet they are more powerful.

Considering we don't suffer the problem of food and all water is recycled, the main issues are fixed. Considering all reproduction must be done through cloning, that fixes the population control.

The main issue is protection.

Considering the long-term, a city-ship could prove more of a hindrance if a war were to start. Mind you, I'm not saying not to do it, but just keep in mind the drawbacks and limitations of them.

Every ship lost is a massive blow. But they should hopefully be able to defend themselves, and considering we're a fairly isolationist species that acts as the vultures of space, I doubt we'll get involved in any wars.

Depends on your potential enemies. Lots of possible salvage to be had from a city-ship. If I were you, I'd get an ally you can trust, so if a war does happen, you can just park in their home-system if things get bad.

If things get bad, we'll duck and cover like we did with the Destined. It's hard to track a constantly jumping fleet.

Well... isolationism won't work when the Destined arrive again, just pointing that out xD

And, If you guys haven't noticed, I'm trying to set up a Galactic Alliance. Feel free to try and hinder/help that.

But if you hinder it, we're all fucked when the Destined arrive.

When the Destined are trying to destroy everything, payment will be the least of your worries, believe me xD

Have I told you that they have the entire Andromeda galaxy under their foot? The fleet which nearly wiped us out 150 years ago was only comparable to a scout ship in our fleets.

But, I guess you don't know about the Destined yet, so I'll leave you for the time being.

We managed to run away from their fleets last time. We'll probabaly do so again and only fight once we're backed into a corner.

Unlikely, last time they under compensated. This time, they'll most likely over compensate. Not to mention, their FTL tech is better than or equal to yours, they could follow you with ease. Not to mention their superior tracking, weapons and numbers.

This time, they won't fall as easily. They have learnt from their mistakes, and this time they're gonna bring their whole fleet.

And oh my, this is gonna turn into ME3 >.>

I think so, I haven't decided but I think they'll be an organic race with Cybernetic additions. So, yes. But more like Cyborgs, most probably. I'm guessing Organics with few additions, perhaps improved senses and reflexes and the like.

Nuke cannons! jks. Probably highly advanced guns, with lasers which just shred through everything and anything xD along with power armor that is hard to break. But most of the fighting will be ship to ship, with a few skirmishes.
