Depends on your potential enemies. Lots of possible salvage to be had from a city-ship. If I were you, I'd get an ally you can trust, so if a war does happen, you can just park in their home-system if things get bad.

Well... isolationism won't work when the Destined arrive again, just pointing that out xD
And, If you guys haven't noticed, I'm trying to set up a Galactic Alliance. Feel free to try and hinder/help that.
But if you hinder it, we're all fucked when the Destined arrive.

If you pay them enough the UPL will help.

When the Destined are trying to destroy everything, payment will be the least of your worries, believe me xD
Have I told you that they have the entire Andromeda galaxy under their foot? The fleet which nearly wiped us out 150 years ago was only comparable to a scout ship in our fleets.
But, I guess you don't know about the Destined yet, so I'll leave you for the time being.
.That just sucks.

We managed to run away from their fleets last time. We'll probabaly do so again and only fight once we're backed into a corner.

Unlikely, last time they under compensated. This time, they'll most likely over compensate. Not to mention, their FTL tech is better than or equal to yours, they could follow you with ease. Not to mention their superior tracking, weapons and numbers.
This time, they won't fall as easily. They have learnt from their mistakes, and this time they're gonna bring their whole fleet.
And oh my, this is gonna turn into ME3 >.>

Question: Are the Destined organic?

Nukes solve everything. What's the average destined soldier's equipment?
