Name: Hans Großkreutz (Grosskreutz)
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Image

Personality: Friendly, but his Russian is not very strong, which affects his ability to be friendly.
Nationality: German (born in Dortmund)
Offense(s): He fought for Germany during the second world war as a member of the SS.

Short Bio: Hans was born in 1920 into crippling poverty, which was quite common in the Weimar Republic. His parents were both extremely proud Germans, and despised the Communists who were beginning to gain power. As Adolf Hitler started to gain a foothold in Bayern, Hans's family decided to move to Munich. When he was ten years old, in 1930, Hans saw Adolf Hitler in person. He idolised the man, immediately ready to follow him for life. He joined the military at age eighteen, and eventually entered the SS. With the Waffen SS Hans became a very important soldier, reaching the rank of SS- Sturmscharführer. He was captured by Russian soldiers in 1945 while providing suppressive fire for his men as they escaped the oncoming Red Army. Now, he has been sent to the labour camp in the middle of hell.

Any chance Hans was positioned at Jacob Bauer's prison camp?
Jacob; the only man alive with almost, and/or possibly every, possible mental illness. :P
SOUNDS FUN, RIGHT? XD

Jacob was born in Germany, and his family, the Bauer family, has been born with any possible Mental Illness.
They were considered the craziest family in Germany.
Jacob was born with pretty much every mental illness known to man.
Some say he has some mental illnesses still unknown to man.
He was sent to a German Labor Camp for this, and later captured by the Russians and sent to Siberia. :L

Hans was fighting on the front with the Waffen SS, and not positioned at a labour camp.

Name: Ilya Petrovich
Age: 25
Appearance: No pic, since my computer isn't cooperating. Ilya is surprisingly tan, with blond hair and blue eyes. He is about 6' and weighs 177 pounds.
Personality: friendly, curious, occasionally suspends his morals if he is very interested in something
Nationality: Russian
Offenses: leaking classified documents to the CIA, pursuing unapproved research in rocketry, unauthorized human experimentation, attempted defection, damaging an expensive particle accelerator in an experiment

Short bio: Ilya was born in Leningrad, into a middle-class family that had done well through the Revolution. He is quite brilliant, and entered the Soviet Army's weapons development team, where he quickly rose to be in charge of the Rocketry Division. His team helped develop the Katyusha rocket and was working on developing ICBMs and space-launch systems, when Ilya accidentally damaged a particle accelerator. There was an investigation, which was normal, and he was expected to be let off the hook, when the investigation discovered he had been in contact with the CIA, and had leaked a number of very important documents concerning the Soviet missile program, as well as using valuable uranium in experiments, which was unauthorized. He constructed a small nuclear/chemical rocket and used German POWs as test subjects, which he had not been authorized to do. Once this was discovered, several CIA agents tried and failed to extract him. Two of them were killed, and Ilya was spared the death sentence on the condition he continue his research at the gulag.

Name: Hanako Kagamine
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Image

Personality: In her short 24 years of life, Hanako has already experienced enough hardship and tragedy to turn her bitter. She has an incredibly quick and violent temper.
Hanako has no qualms about taking human life. She killed for the first time when she was 12 years old and has not looked back since. Though she does not enjoy taking orders, Hanako has always tried her best to be a dutiful student, which has paid off.
Nationality: Japanese
Offense(s): Murder (first degree), Espionage
Short Bio:
Hanako's early life was defined by tragedy. When she was just a girl, her brutalized mother committed suicide and her violent father drank himself to death not long after. She was taken to a concentration camp, where she was brutally treated and ended up in a fit of rage killing a guard. She managed to escape the camp before anyone found out and went on the run. She was caught 4 years ago, and was only spared the death penalty so she could work in the concentration camp, where she is more than likely going to die there anyway. She has got instructions to be shackled when not working and closely watched when she is.

Would anyone be willing to have Ilya experiment on their character? They'd survive, although they'd have some broken bones, and likely some burns.

I was thinking that he's moved beyond Sputnik (others are putting the finishing touches on that) and is working on manned flight using his prototype design of the R-7 Semyorka, testing gravity and heat stresses on the human body, and testing how life-support and other systems work in a launch.

So basically, he's seeing how much he can squish and burn people before they become, ah..... Inoperative.

The rocket may or may not crash and burn, depending on whether the Warden gives him prisoners who can weld.

Plenty of good workers within the USSR, he might be kind enough to bring in some professionals.

He'd be wise to do so. Ilya's prototype R-7 is 100 feet long (the rocket, when produced, was actually 112 feet), and if it malfunctioned on launch, it could destroy the whole camp.

You're not launching that shit inside the camp brutha.

He'll probably send it somewhere via rail line to launch safely.
