Btw, is it ok if James pulls a fast one and runs off with the cure? He just doesn't trust the UV with it. The UV finds James and Charles hiding out, trying to develop a distribution system for the cure and forces James to level with them.

Why ARE we raiding the building to steal their half finished cure? Wouldn't the CDC be aware of their cure process? And why would the military resist them if that is literally why they are there, to get the cure?

1. We don't really have proof there is a cure. But there is a strong hunch there is one. We take what we can get.
2. Why would the CDC be aware? Pharmaceutical companies don't advertise their R and D to the world.
3. This is not a CDC facility, this is a Hathawell Technologies facility.

Because Julius Hathawell is working with Decay. Decay wants to release the virus for because he is an anarchist or whatever. Julius is creating the cure behind Decay's back. So of course he would keep it a secret.

The pathogen was engineered with a cure in mind for it. Except the cure is not finished (we need a reason for Julius not to go ahead with full scale infection).
