Has he expressed support for either pretender to the Iron Throne?

Declaring for the Lannisters is a good move.

Declaring without waiting for your child's upcoming marriage to pass and to see what their lady decides is a bad one.

My money is on the Lannisters, yes, but I refuse to declare right now.

I see your lord's only daughter is marrying the Tullys. Tsk, I was going to recommend her to wed the Stark heir. Then Stark, Tully and Arryn would all be connected via Stark.
Maybe the Tyrells still have a daughter...

Do you happen to have any daughters?

You could marry the Arryn heir, maybe.

Maybe.

Absolutely no promises.

I might have a post up tomorrow. I hope I'm not too far behind.

By the way, who would like a Velaryon septa by the name of Elaena in their service?

The Arryns would not be opposed.

I'd just like to say that this is probably my favorite RP. Ever. And it's not even that far along.

The OoC is great. The IC is gonna be great really soon. You guys are great. It's awesome talking to people with just as much if not more ASoIaF knowledge than me. All of you are fun to hang around.

In short, I love this RP.

More or less. Character-based though.

Is there a Targ family tree posted somewhere? I'm curious as to the ages of the two Targ princesses.

The Targaryens twins are probably 45'ish. That would mean that Lord Bartholomew got a very Young wife and Prince Darren got one who was slightly older. I will however leave it up to the Lannister and Martell player to decide it since they are the ones who have to incorporate it into their RP'ing.

Ulster wrote:In a fair number of the RPs done here, the ASOIAF RPG books numbers have sufficed:
Crownlands - 15 to 20k
Stormlands - 30k
Reach - 80k to 100k
Westerlands - 50 to 60k
North - 45k
Vale - 45k
Riverlands - 45k
Iron Islands - 20k
Dorne - 25k

With varying degrees of foot-to-horse ratios and fleets. Royal fleet the largest, then Ironborn, then Redwyne.

I have always fond it extremely odd that apparently a mountainous civil war torn region like the Vale can mobilize the same as the fertile second most populous Riverlands province but I won't open up for a numbers discussion they rarely add anything but bickering to an RP. As long as people don't drum up mega armies in an instant I let people do what they want though.

Ulster wrote:Then I shall just propose a marriage alliance to the Reach and we'll split Westeros between us. :p

Get in line. Baratheon, Martell and Lannister all seems eager to do the same. I only have four unmarried children.

Evraim wrote:I might have a post up tomorrow. I hope I'm not too far behind.

I would. House Tyrell has two daughters in need of a chaperone/teacher. One is kind and tender and womanly the other is ... Not.

Also your app was accepted.

Ulster's Stark is also accepted.

Volantis is still under consideration.

Though naturally I appreciate activity in the OOC thread waking up to find 7 pages to look through is a Little overwhelming. Could we maybe try to establish a 10 to 1 rule where people try to make at the most 10 OOC post per IC post? Also if there is something important I missed in the last seven pages let me know.

I think there was something else ... Yes right.

Would people give an assesement of who they might pledge for? Since Martell is currently preparing to Court Tyrell I would like to know what support the Lannister's would have against a Tyrell-Martell-Baratheon axis before deciding if I want to join it. If no one supports the Lannisters Tyrell will stay neutral for the time being.

I've seen popular RP OOC's and... this is pretty normal :). Sometimes, the OOC and IC just live a different live, with the OOC having sub-discussions, arguments and stories before getting back on the rails, before getting derailed for a small while again.

It cannot be stopped :p. See it as a sign everyone loves the RP.

Not much important going on, really. Some small arrangements, that was all.

I need a septa. *Shrugs.* But that's if you want her to be in Braavos...

No, that wouldn't be realistic. Blackfyres wouldn't want Targ loyalists to take care of their children.

Know what I just realized, guys?

In the Winds of Winter, everyone is fuuuuuccckkkkkeeddddd.

There's gonna be so many character deaths it won't be funny. Knowing GRRM, I'm gonna bet you all either Jon, Tyrion, or Dany dies, with Tyrion being the most likely (least plot armor.)

Grab your tissues, folks, because all your favorite characters are gonna fucking die.

One thing that can be done however is not making three posts in a row but merge them to one.

But I will try to be less snarky, and I am glad people have so favorable an oppinion of the RP.

Tyrion won't die GRRM loves him too much he says that Tyrion is the most like him and he wouldn't kill himself. I don't think Dany will die after all it is the Song of Ice and Fire and maybe Jon could be the ice he does after all live right next to a huge ice wall. I think Jon might survive or he might not he is the only one there I am not sure about.

Eastwatch's our smallest castle- with 150 men against roughly 300 and the Wildings having surprise on their side and our forces spread out, we didn't stand a chance. About 30 survivors escaped on the Watch's galleys- the rest were slaughtered.

As for Castle Black, that's another story altogether. 650 men, prepared, with cavalry and the possibility of help from the Starks.

And don't forget our two trebuchets. From memory, they offed a lot of Wildings on their own during their assault on Castle Black.

As someone who plays ck2 too much, I'm a little sceptical about a lord paramount offering fealty to a lord paramount. It doesn't sound right: they're of equal rank. You can't swear fealty to someone if you're of equal rank...

Can and cannot is a subjective term in this case. It is unusual, that is certain, but it can be done. It depends on the amount of honour attached to the Lord in question (which is not overtly much in my case  ). What doesn't mean that there won't be discontent at hime. One can always bow before a more powerful lord, it has been done countless times in history. Besides, House Baratheon is far less powerful than House Tyrell shall ever be.

A lord can bow before a king, but I dunno if a lord can bow before a lord... besides, it's not meant to last. The Iron Throne can't let the Tyrells get away with enough power to rise up at any moment...

Just sayin' :)
