Read the first post. This is a world where the Roman Empire (While it was just Italy, but attempted to expand) never fell. Therefore, everything is 200 years ahead of time, so we start in the year 2000 and it has the technology you assume that we'd have them. Mexico already has rocketry, but your industrial idea is good. Otherwise Accepted.
