I hope you recover soon! I actually wanted to travel to Greece before I turn 18 again, and it'd be good if some of your problems are already solved then. Especially with the Germans, although I think that's only (or mostly) in Athens.

You really wont have any problems in islands/areas which survive on tourism but yeah... Athens, not a good choice for anyone. Not that you will get 100% attacked, I have seen plenty of tourists and no Greek actually feels like attacking you... but there are many nutjobs anyway. And to be fair, Athens is overrated. Let the museums for an other time.

Nothing speaks against supporting tourism, but you shouldn't base your nation on it.

Although tourism isn't only a big thing in Greece. In Austria there are also whole regions based on tourism, just like in Spain, Turkey, ...
It's all okay to a special degree.
