*sigh*
Depending on your view point the actions of other people seem evil, while your actions seem to be the best. Such is the way it has always been.
HOWEVER, there is, generally, an accepted list of things that make people seen as bad, and others seen as good.
Yes, it was good for an allied troop to be there fighting against the Axis, because the alternative would be that the German Government's Hunger Plan would come to pass, Fascism would win the war, and human freedoms would be abolished in favor for a regime built on murder and lies. Not all allied troops were good, for example Stalin would later go on to kill several million people during his reign, but that doesn't stop the fact that his people, who are not him, help defeat a bigger threat
Moreover, the succession of the South was based on Slavery, something that is absolutely evil, and who's only base of an argument was the statement of the people being worked to death were less than human. The South fought that war on the basis of wanting to keep an entire people as unpaid labour (some other stuff as well), trying to break away from the United States inorder to just be their own country. While I can't argue the other politics there, there can not possibly be any argument that the South was wrong on that front
I vote yes
