Karen dropped off the application, after making a few edits in the application that Rosario had intentionally put in to spite her. Why she hired her was going to be an everlasting mystery Karen, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. Her set of keys appeared in her hand just as the cute little bunny had said.

She got onto the elevator with Rosario and was on like what seemed to be forever. Rosario commented that it was just her nonexistent patience. Shrugging it off, she had her maid open the door to her lavish apartment, dropping her jacket on a sofa like a child coming home from school. The maid sighed, feeling more like a parent than an employee, picking up after Karen.

“Would you look at that Rosie, the streets, the nice little people everywhere and oh my god! There’s even a person that looks just like me!”

“That’s your reflection you drunken sod!” Rosario threw her hands up. She tilted her head for a moment, her eyes peering in the back of her skull while Karen stood silently looking out the window. Rosario’s eyes came back to normal, her voice however was quite serious, “I don’t detect any sort of enchantments or traps in this apartment, My Queen.”

“Good,” Karen’s voice had changed also from high pitched to something more sinister and focused. “Sweep through the other rooms for mechanical devices. I will do the same here.”

“My Queen,” Rosario said; half statement half question.

“Yes what is it?”

“Must we continue with the charade? We had a psychic rabbit in the lobby. Clearly nothing is as it seems, so why the pretense?”

Karen turned and glared at her bodyguard who shrank in posture but stood her ground. “I will not have that whelp coming this realm when I’m unprepared. I will have my throne drenched in his blood… and to that, I’m going to need allies. This is why we are here.”

Rosario bowed her head. “We will continue this charade until I’m certain I hold the advantage. Sweep the rooms, Rosario, we have matters to attend to after we’re done.”

The BranRiech wrote:"Hmm, I do like cool things, sure." Yuna said unemotionally, like most of the others of her race. She was a bit more cheerful about it though, so it counted for something.

"M'kay!", Torii whisper-yelled. She got up, grabbed her TF Gun, and ran into another room. A minute later, she came out, in her usual summer uniform. However, she was now a Pyersai.

"See!?", She whisper again.

"Oh? You know what we have to do?" Yuna asked of her friend. She noted her appearance, nearly the same as her own. "You're 16 too, right? We need to teach you how to fly!" She exclaimed quietly, but putting emphasis on the phrase to make it sound exciting. She unfurled her own wings and flapped them a few times.

"We could go to the roof if you want, it's a good a place as any."

--

"Ugh, no!" The Orange haired lesser goddess shouted into the phone. "I will not allow that to happen, so just drop it!" Kei threatened and slammed her phone against the table. She sighed audibly and reformed her broken electronic device. Her form was now leaning against the wall, thinking. The person she hated most in her existence wanted to visit, Tieria had just broken up with her, and she was also thinking up a new partner, or someone she'd like to get to know.

With a few more minutes of that, she got up and started scowering the halls for people to hang out with or meet.

"Flay?"

Torii shrugged. "I can barely even feel my wings, let alone flap them."

Katya smiled. "Well, you two just don't get hurt. Anyway, I'm going to get some tea, so I'll be right back."

She got up and walked out to the kitchen.

AETEN II wrote:Volturius opened the door to their apartment, taking a seat on the reinforced bed as he pooled fragmented memories from centuries ago.

"I unfortunately do not remember the name of my mother- I spent little time with her, spending most of my days either studying or being trained practically since birth. She later died shortly before my indoctrination as a Chaos Space Marine during a loyalist boarding action on our ship. Her name started with a 'P'- that is all my memory retains before it was distorted by the surgeries. Most memories of my father come from after the augmentations or during training- which is the largest part of my life before the augmentations that I can recollect most clearly."

Volturius sighed upong drawing upon the memories: he did find it unfortunate how his memories were shattered by the ascendance and the years spent waging war- but it was the same for all other astartes, loyal or chaos. He however did find consolation in that his memories were at least not grim- he'd heard stories of how other space marines had accidentally killed their own families when laying siege or defending their homeworlds, remembering those that they gunned down were relatives only when their fellows recognized their faces, and not themselves. Thankfully, he never would have to fear such a grim realization.

Tipper shook her head. Part of her disliked the process for becoming Astartes because it took away too much of a person's base memories. Tipper always felt that the early years shaped the person. Her opinion was as valuable to used tissue, however.

"Alright, we'll think of something." She scooted over to him and gently touched a wing. Her delicate hands sought out the strong joints that made up the "fingers" and she rubbed the tissue around them. She hummed as she massaged him, her mind chasing various thoughts and concepts. After a while, she paused. "We need something to do. Can you pilot a ship? Maybe we could see what the planet has to offer? Or visit the space port above? I heard it's Nifid-owned."

"Look, I'm not the exact definition of sanity either- I'm the kind of guy that thinks using mines as frisbees to kill tanks is a fun thing to do in combat. I doubt you're perfectly sane like me either- but have you SEEN those Chaos guys? Fuck them, my soul's my own, and I intend to keep it."

Ozzall then looked down at the PDA again, sending off a request for a shuttle.

"Anyway, it'll be inbound in a couple minutes. Best get ready. Just don't bring any WMD's on board and you'll be fine."

"I don't make any promises," Dora answered with a grin. "I think the two of us put together count as a WMD. Blasters on ceiling fans, and so on. But don't worry about the Chaos people - I'll watch your back. You've got a very nice one."

"You'll do fine, if you fail, then try landing in the pool." Yuna suggested as she led her friend up to the roof. "We should totally get your sister in on this too." She grinned as she sat back, waiting for Torii's decision on whether to get Katya, or to attempt to fly.

Alpha was still standing where he had been, staring out the window and observing the combat below. It involved potatoes, somehow. Possibly playing; more likely some form of mating ritual (investigate further; do not add to report until investigation yields results). Perhaps it would help to know the general practices of this planet when it came to procreation; clearly they were more based on emotion than Zarkanians'.

The door to Cuisine's apartment was open. Strangely, the chef was nowhere to be seen, though a shadow with something on its face could be seen thanks to the angle of the lights inside.

She loomed over the age of the building and smiled. She tried flapping her wings, but they barely twitched.

"Makes you wonder, doesn't it?" Minerva was perched outside his window. She appeared to be squatting on a ledge only the soles of her boots were planted firmly on the bricks and her toes were pointed straight down. She had an oddly-scented cigarette clenched between her teeth and she breathed out a plume of cherry flavored smoke. "I haven't quite decided what they're doing with the potatoes. Alas, after a week or so of restoring and comforting the demon, Superbia, He has regained his strength, and health. Though he was missing one thing: his red markings that ran all over his body. He was now just a white demon.

Today was the day when he woke up from a long slumber of sleep as he gave off his first waking yawn in a long while.

"Oh, wait." Yuna said and facepalmed on an epic level. She grabbed ahold of Torii's wings and started pulling them apart, streching them out in a flapping motion that would feel like flesh tearing out. "Since you've never used these, or learned how to fly when your wings are primed naturally, I needed to prime them for you. Try flapping them once the pain subsides."

Kei raised one orange eyebrow at the door and walked in. Seldom did people leave their doors open in this building, so it was worth checking out.
