The BranRiech wrote:"Hmm, I do like cool things, sure." Yuna said unemotionally, like most of the others of her race. She was a bit more cheerful about it though, so it counted for something.

The BranRiech wrote:"Oh? You know what we have to do?" Yuna asked of her friend. She noted her appearance, nearly the same as her own. "You're 16 too, right? We need to teach you how to fly!" She exclaimed quietly, but putting emphasis on the phrase to make it sound exciting. She unfurled her own wings and flapped them a few times.
"We could go to the roof if you want, it's a good a place as any."

"Ugh, no!" The Orange haired lesser goddess shouted into the phone. "I will not allow that to happen, so just drop it!" Kei threatened and slammed her phone against the table. She sighed audibly and reformed her broken electronic device. Her form was now leaning against the wall, thinking. The person she hated most in her existence wanted to visit, Tieria had just broken up with her, and she was also thinking up a new partner, or someone she'd like to get to know.
With a few more minutes of that, she got up and started scowering the halls for people to hang out with or meet.

AETEN II wrote:Volturius opened the door to their apartment, taking a seat on the reinforced bed as he pooled fragmented memories from centuries ago.
"I unfortunately do not remember the name of my mother- I spent little time with her, spending most of my days either studying or being trained practically since birth. She later died shortly before my indoctrination as a Chaos Space Marine during a loyalist boarding action on our ship. Her name started with a 'P'- that is all my memory retains before it was distorted by the surgeries. Most memories of my father come from after the augmentations or during training- which is the largest part of my life before the augmentations that I can recollect most clearly."
Volturius sighed upong drawing upon the memories: he did find it unfortunate how his memories were shattered by the ascendance and the years spent waging war- but it was the same for all other astartes, loyal or chaos. He however did find consolation in that his memories were at least not grim- he'd heard stories of how other space marines had accidentally killed their own families when laying siege or defending their homeworlds, remembering those that they gunned down were relatives only when their fellows recognized their faces, and not themselves. Thankfully, he never would have to fear such a grim realization.

"Look, I'm not the exact definition of sanity either- I'm the kind of guy that thinks using mines as frisbees to kill tanks is a fun thing to do in combat. I doubt you're perfectly sane like me either- but have you SEEN those Chaos guys? Fuck them, my soul's my own, and I intend to keep it."
Ozzall then looked down at the PDA again, sending off a request for a shuttle.
"Anyway, it'll be inbound in a couple minutes. Best get ready. Just don't bring any WMD's on board and you'll be fine."

The BranRiech wrote:"You'll do fine, if you fail, then try landing in the pool." Yuna suggested as she led her friend up to the roof. "We should totally get your sister in on this too." She grinned as she sat back, waiting for Torii's decision on whether to get Katya, or to attempt to fly.

"I think Torii would agree with you if she were still here. Bran would probably agree, too. I'm sure someone would agree to bring him back, though!" Chrys finished cleaning potato off her face.

"Makes you wonder, doesn't it?" Minerva was perched outside his window. She appeared to be squatting on a ledge only the soles of her boots were planted firmly on the bricks and her toes were pointed straight down. She had an oddly-scented cigarette clenched between her teeth and she breathed out a plume of cherry flavored smoke. "I haven't quite decided what they're doing with the potatoes. It doesn't look like they'll eat them. Or perhaps they will?"
She inhaled smoke and let it unfurl from her nose.

"OK," said Chrys, closing the bag up. "No, it's easier than it sounds, for most people. But we're different from others. We get to look after each other, and things work out just fine. Not just those of us in tan and gray, but everyone here at the apartment...and if that doesn't work, there's always never growing up to try!"
Ever the optimist, she was.
