Yoshi handed Rachelle a whisk and a small bowl of flower. He was quite aware that the girl would probably get the powdery white substance over all of creation, but he didn't mind cleaning it up. He love children and Bran and Rylli needed a break from their's. He set to cracking eggs and putting them into a larger bowl of flower that he had already whisked.

"Hey, I happen to be stronger than I look!", Katya bragged, huffing out her chest. "Just you watch!"

She approached the door, and calmly studied it for a minute. Then, without any warning, she flew into a spin, and, screaming, roundhouse kicked the door's center as hard as she possibly could, which even made the ground vibrate a little.

Her leg wobbled for a second, and she fell onto her bottom in pain. As for the door...

The door was knocked off it's hinges, but was still blocked an in by all the furniture piled up against it. The door wobbled and fell forward towards the group, revealing the forest beyond the pile of out of place home furnishings that barricaded the entrance.

There was less shiny debris in the yard as the crows were cleaning up, soon to finish the task and resume there defensive patrols.

Tieria slinked up behind the others. "What do we have here? It seems that I'm not the only one in this reptilian related situation." He said, crossing his raptor arms. He was determined to get to the bottom of this. "Do you require a technopath?"

"Do I stir it?"

Rachelle was awkwardly trying to hold up the whisk to the bowl, and she started stirring before Yoshi even told her to, as she put two and two together (Whisk+Bowl=stir?) Eh, didn't matter, he'd tell her if she was doing something wrong. And after what she went through, she didn't care what adults thought anymore, except for her parents of course.

Raptor-Bran, and Raptor-Rylli both looked on approvingly as Katya kicked down the door. They expected this though, the giant mound of furniture that was preventing their entry.

"Why not just yell that we want to talk to them calmly? That we want to be turned back, and we won't be angry?" Rylli suggested, the pacifist-mother inside her taking over. She didn't want violence, but with how unhinged the raptors were, she didn't think it would work. "Or we could say we're delivering them a package to get in?"

New Aksarben wrote:"GAH!" Jacob-raptor shouted as he ducked for cover from the explosion that was not anywhere near him. His claws instinctively flew up to cover his head as he jumped through the doors. He skidded for a short bit, and ended up with his tail sticking straight up in the air almost vertically. After a few moments of holding that pose, he moved a claw or two to look around. Seeing as things seemed very un-exploded, he scrambled back to his feet and dusted himself off with a cough.

".....The Raptor house is this way..." Jacob informed Ray as he pointed with a claw to the very 'Adams Family' style home next door. Which was apparently ringed by what appeared to be mechanical birds and land mines. "We definitely should be careful approaching it. I'm guessing that explosion came from them or something within their house." He began carefully walking down the sidewalk, guessing Ray would follow him to the strange residence of the raptors. "No idea what the crows are about though. I have never seen them around the raptor house before, honestly."

As a response to the explosion, Ray actually did something that couldn't be considered freaking out. He essentially flinched, his head sinking downwards and his clawed hands clutching at where his ears could be before staring at the raptor house. He'd been around explosions enough to be able to simply turn and look at them instead of making a noise, although it was still an unsettling sound to listen to. But Jacob's disturbance actually was rather humorous, although Ray's mere response was simply to stare at him.

"Alright, that's actually a very good sign of where the Raptor house is. Very expected for them, considering what little I know of them," Ray shrugged and began to walk down the sidewalk behind Jacob. "Same with the crows. They're a strange bunch, I'm sure of it. I met one of them, she tried to kill me and my client. But she didn't really look like a raptor...More like a scaled woman, I suppose. But to my knowledge, they also seem to be able to regenerate, since I shot the woman and then she came back to life later."

"That's a capital idea," Minerva told Rylli. "After all, we don't want to kill them. We just want to be restored."

She drew air into her lungs and shouted, "You hear that, you silly, paranoid lizards? We just want to be restored."

The door on the ground wobbled. A reptilian snout emerged followed by the rest of Hans. He'd vanished from the nest by falling into his own shadow, and had crawled along the tether between Klaus and himself to locate the group. He shook himself out and licked Katya's face.

Yoshi nodded to the raptor chick. "Good, now you see all of the clumpy white balls of flour? Stir it until all of those go away." he said and turned on a mixer for his bowl, the batter for his batch was almost made, but he wanted little Rachelle to participate and make her own tiny batch for herself.

Tieria looked at the odd scene beyond the door that he had just seen Katya kick in. He shrugged. "Well, we aren't going to get answers out here are we?" He pulled out a pistol and put a bullet in the chamber. He had to have words with a raptor.

"All right, Katya?" Dora's tail extended toward the aristocrat for her to pull herself up. This was somewhat hampered by Hans getting in the way and licking her and Chrys joining in.

Luce eyed Tieria and his pistol somewhat distastefully.

"She tastes like pork," Hans took a final lick and bobbed his head to Dora. "Try it."

His eyes scanned the furniture pile. "Bet anything there's booby traps."

Binocular vision wouldn't let him see any of the cleverly placed ones. He sniffed at the pile without stepping foot inside. "Where's Mr. Scarface? He always answers the door. Maybe whatever did this to us has harmed them also?"

His eyes focused on Tieria's gun. "That's telling them we're here to harm them." Narrow shoulders rocked in a shrugging motion. "I don't mind being a giant lizard. Sort of fun, ja? We can do all sorts of things we couldn't before. Like so!"

Hans lifted his leg, swung his neck to the side and kicked his own head. The claws raked along his cropped feathers and satisfied an itch. He cleaned the sharp weapons with his mouth before setting his foot down again.

Tieria put the gun away, he had labeled Hans as an idiot already. Tieria was a bit of a stick in the mud when it came to things like this. How was being a raptor fun? NVE was his arch-nemesis, but he was also a bit of a friend. It was a love-hate relationship with those two.

"Got it, thanks." Rachelle hissed, making use of her funny raptor voice.

She started stirring slowly, and made sure to get rid of any little balls of flour, just as instructed by Yoshi. It wasn't the most exciting thing ever, and she'd much rather be handling a wrench or something, taking something apart, or putting something together. But Yoshi was a friend, of sorts, and she would make his food for him.

Bran and Rylli were both sitting back, rolling their eyes at the collective stupidity of Tieria, and Hans saying that their friend tasted like Pork. "Yeah, we don't want them to think we mean harm, because we don't. I just want out of this dress, and Bran was in the Air force, not the Navy." She chuckled.

There was no response from within the house, only static over the intercom systems within, the communication systems were still down.

The white figures were seen more clearly, they were Nurse-bots clad in plaid flannel shirts and wielding axes. They seemed to be playing the Monty Python "Lumberjack" Song with may glitches and static. So far the "lumberjack"-bots hardly noticed them. Behind the furniture a large red metal toolbox sat with a tripwire tied to a chair.

On the ground to the side a can of spilled gold paint dried into a puddle, and NVE's tracks led off from the puddle into the conservatory, following one of many trails

"They have something like flash cloning. They can create whole new bodies for themselves within seconds, and have it set up so their conciousness is stuffed into that one. They actually did something like that to separate me and Albert a few months ago, before you showed up. We were in one body for a while, actually. Ever since Albert.... well, killed me, I had existed in Albert's body." Jacob explained, looking over at the other raptor for a few seconds.

"But I think that scaled woman was one of them. Just one that has her DNA mixed with human likely. I only have met a few of them, anyway. Mainly NVE, I believe. The newer clone of Neil...... Yeah. Most of them are clones of one of the raptors I believe. OR something like that." Jacob-raptor said with a shrug.

Once they arrived at the raptor house he quickly noticed that the birds seemed distracted by all the shiny things around the property. "Ray you may want to hurry. I think the group before us already went across, but had to distract the birds to do so..... And they may not be very willing to ignore you once they collect all the things strewn around the yard."

Albert tilted his head when some of the raptors started licking Katya. But strangely, the first thought that went through his mind was if Katya actually tasted good. He shook his head to dispel that thought. He was still a human, just stuck as a raptor for now. But he couldn't resist poking Katya's arm with one of the claws on his feet. Not hard enough to really hurt her, though.

He tilted his head again when Hans mentioned Scarface. "Yes, he does seem strangely absent. He may be protecting their chicks though. I have seen him guard them often when the raptors are busy with something. So he may be with them.... wherever they are. But I agree it would be smart to avoid causing too much more damage to the raptor home. It might be best to try and just get through their house to wherever they are hiding, without dying of course, and asking them nicely to turn us back. Those of us who want to be turned back of course. It is honestly very fun to be this deadly. I could easily kill Katya just by stepping on her head, or biting her. OR really many other things..... Just using you as an example Katya, seeing as you're the only non-raptor here. Nothing against you personally. Good job with the door by the way."

Now, she didn't really care whether she was licked or not. She was already covered in saliva, and the nice raptor had complimented her. She felt good about herself again, and was still haply about having taken down the door.

"Thank you!", She told Albert. "Oh, and....please don't eat me. I'm too young to die..."

"Albert's right," Klaus added his two cents. "Nicely done with the door. And it makes sense that the chicks are being protected. NVE has left us a trail to follow, until the paint wears off under his feet."

He studied the tool box and noted the trip wire. It was in plain sight and too obvious. It was difficult to second-guess the raptors; they were insane. Every nuance could have great impact or else be there just because they thought it looked pretty.

"We could send in Hans again."

The cultists' head perked up. "I'd rather not." He still wasn't over the blasts and birds.

Klaus blew out a frustrated breath. "Not over the pile. Take the shadow along the wall. Look at the barrier and tell us if you see anything peculiar. NVE obviously navigated it with little difficulty but he's as mad as the rest of them. Their antics are second nature to him."

Hans understood the reasoning behind the order but he wasn't too keen on it. He licked Katya's face a final time and sunk into his own shadow. A white flag poked out of a shadow along a baseboard across the room. It was nothing more than a pair of white boxers on a yard stick. It waved. The cultist figured they'd blast at it if they meant to do any damage.

The "lumberjack" bots continued to ignore the group, but seemed that they weren't cutting down trees either, just stuck and plagued with errors.

The boxers were left unharmed, nothing noticed with the low static over the intercoms. The large red metal toolbox seemed to be connected to the chair by floss. In small letters in the back, out of sight from the others it read "Contents: 1x Automated Sentry Turret" Apparently this was the only line of defense past the door in this room. However, the room appeared to be a hemisphere (well, it was spherical, only half of it was filled with soil) of metal with inactive lights attached to the upper portions by mechanical apparatuses, providing artificial light and water to this forest.

The trail of footprints led to a source of light deeper in the woods.

(OOC: my error. I misread "room" and didn't comment on the forest."

Hans had thought it was a shadow by a baseboard. His handler amended that to the shadow under a fern frond.

"Hey, Klaus, the box contains an automatic sentry turret. There's floss connected to it."

He squinted at the floss to see if it was taunt or lax. Would it be set off by vibrations, for example? Or would disturbing the chair cause the floss to tighten and activate the weapon. He carefully poked his nose from the shadow, expecting the weird bots to go after him. The smell was nice, and the air felt good on his scales. Yes, a raptor-friendly place. He could enjoy it but he worried that the rest of the party, unaccustomed to using raptor senses, might fuddle through it.

"Hey, Klaus, when our new headquarters are finished, can we add a forest to the entry? I like this."

Minerva face-palmed again - Klaus wondered how she was managing to pull off the gesture so perfectly. He made eye contact with Hans. "Tell me what else you see."

He turned to address the group. "As you heard, there's a trap. Let's see if we can diffuse it. Hans will tell us how it's set up."

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Tipper had undoubtedly enjoyed her nipping game, working her teeth close to the valve just to see Volturius’ skin dance. She nibbled slowly at first and then worked her way towards it, passing over it to continue nipping on the opposite side. She wasn’t expecting him to wake up so disgruntled, however.

She pulled a lose strand of pink hair from the corner of his mouth and offered him a seductive pout. “Hey, Mr. Raptor, I don’t complain about tiny feathers on my tongue.” She moved her knee and playfully stroked his inner thigh with a toe to indicate just where those particular loose feathers usually came from.

Nipping him one final time (he had an extremely faint collection of Slaanesh-gifted hickies by now, but his body would purge the reddish marks from his skin in moments), she sat up to squint at him. Her long hair cascaded down to tickle his chest.

“I like the contrast in color,” she pointed to where the strands brushed against him. “I find it arousing. I can see clearly when we’re entwined, and the only thing I find more pleasurable than the contrast is the expression on your face and the rise and fall of your chest. And your hands. I love your hands.”

She sought one of them out and hugged it to her chest. She marveled at the feel of his pulse coursing through the venous network. Her fingers traced a large vein from wrist to knuckle… his hearts were strong, and the blood streamed along in a forceful surge. Nothing in the universe compared to an Asartes hand. It was capable of brutality yet Astartes possessed finite muscular precision that allowed them to give the most gentle of caresses. Tipper was often awed by Volturius’ ability to stroke her cheek in such a fashion. His hands had wielded many weapons over his long life, and were weapons themselves, but he used them to slay her heart and enthrall her in a wash of unparalleled ecstasy. Those same hands were possessive at times, drawing her close as if daring foolish people to try to take his possession from him.

He’d kill them if they tried, naturally. Tipper purred in delight.

She communed these thoughts and passions to him through their bond, savoring her assessment of their relationship and encouraging him to never cease his tender administrations. He was her Astartes. She’d have no other, even during worship of their god. Only he had earned the right to claim her.

The tiny cultist snorted and quickly slid out of bed. Pain was pleasure, and stirring him and moving away only increased the longing until it became somewhat unbearable.

“Roo de doo,” she presented him with her bare backside and performed a wiggly little dance. Once she was certain she had his full attention, she peered over her left shoulder and whispered a promise through their bond: Later, my love. We should hunt a deer tonight and feast on it. The moon feels good, and although it won’t be much of a challenge for you, it would still give you some exercise.

Volturius propped himself upwards from his prone position on the bed with the thumbs of his folded wings, giving him a better view of Tipper's display. The Astartes then contemplated her promise, eagerly awaiting any and all possibilities of the late evening's events. He also took extreme interest in the proposal of going on a hunting trip- which while lacking the pleasurable rush of hormones and combat stimulates of an actual firefight, it retained the simple fact that it involved killing something. Not to mention that venison was a delectable dish that also furthered the worship of the Prince of Excess. Simply for the fact, Volturius considered bagging multiple deer if simply to please his patron god.

The astartes slightly chuckled at the thought of hunting deer with a bolter. He'd certainly have to hunt multiple members of the species should he wish for their be any noticeable shreds of flesh suitable for consumption.

"A hunt sounds pleasant- venison would make for a fine dinner. Although I'd need a better, no, weaker weapon to ensure there was something left to eat. Bolters make for excellent weapons of war- but are terrible tools for gathering food of anything smaller than a Carnifex."

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

I wouldn't care, but interesting. You obviously know my only experience as a Fairy." Natiya shrugged, looking off to the corner of the room. Despite how tough she really appeared, that night still made her cringe, having two of her appendages amputated without even anesthesia. The most painful and scarring moment of her life, and Tora was bragging about how fun it was to be a Fairy . . .

"Please stop talking." She requested. "At least about that. I still remember the scars."

Bran and Rylli were still waiting back as the others in the group started clearing out some traps (Or so they thought). It was all a bit confusing, and all they wanted to do was get to the raptors.

The BranRiech wrote:"Got it, thanks." Rachelle hissed, making use of her funny raptor voice.

Yoshi shook his head with a smile. She was undeniably cute. "I bet you are a mechanic like your father." Yoshi said softly. He liked kids a lot, he could talk to them and they wouldn't judge him for anything that he said or did. "I'll get the ingredients for the icing and I'll let you use the mixer, in the mean time, you can put two eggs in that bowl of yours, i think the flour is fine enough." He said with a nod.
A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good just because it's accepted by a majority.
