"That's right, you don't. You don't have the right to prevent her from seeing anyone, nor do you hold the right to threaten or harm those people," continued Giovenith. Normally Giovenith did not pack on this kind of talk so thickly, but at this point, she was not in a very nurturing mood. She was cross, and disliked to have to explain something that seemed so obvious, especially when she personally thought that there were other, much more preferable solutions. Honestly, deep down inside honestly, she highly cynical about trying to "fix" things at all... these didn't seem like things that could be fixed to her.
"We've made a list of things that have to change," she said quietly after a few moments of frosty silence, taking out the notepad from her pocket. "Number one most of all, this behavior you described to me before? It has to go. Torii is a person, not an object, not a thing to possess, thus you will not be possessive of her. You will not prevent her from seeing who she wants to see. You will not kill, harm, threaten, abuse, or harass Torii, or anyone who you believe 'gets between you two', or merely angers you. Anger is a natural emotion, but turning to violence upon it is not something that will be accepted or tolerated. That means no threatening to kill the Nikanors, no knives, no biting, none of that crap. A relationship is built on emotional needs that you have been neglecting dreadfully... there is only so much time a 'couple' can spend away from each other before there is no contact to be called a relationship. You will make time for Torii. When you have not, she has reacted negatively, and you are being held responsible for it." She paused again, considering Tsu for a moment.
"... I'm going to be honest. I don't have high hopes for this. I have to be cynical about it, because I know enough to know better than to hope too much for this. It's hard to hear, but it's true. This isn't something that deserves gentleness, because abuse is a horrible, horrible thing that is not brushed off lightly. You must consider yourself on high, high probation, Tsu. I'll be keeping in touch, and if you slip back into those habits once, it will be over. You and Torii will be through, and she will not be coming back, because she will not stay in a bad relationship." She looked pointedly to Torii. "Correct, Torii?"
