Today was the day when he woke up from a long slumber of sleep as he gave off his first waking yawn in a long while.
Xanthe was fast asleep on one side of the bed but Blythe was curled up into a small ball and tucked against his side. Her eyes opened and she lifted her head when she heard him yawn. "Soups?"

Blythe dissolved into a fit of squeals and happy tears and tackled him with enough force to knock a slumbering Xanthe onto the floor. The pseudo-angel landed with a loud CLUNK and rubbed the side of her head. Blythe didn't care. She was too busy peppering Superbia's snout and eye areas with kisses.
"Superbia!" Blythe pressed her face against him. "We went to rescue you. Envy and Wrath had a falling out. One of them screwed the other one over, but Envy released you to us. We couldn't get the weapons back, but we got you. And we healed you. And now you're back." She ran her lavender hands along his face and added, "And you're white now and not red. Still handsome, though."

The BranRiech wrote:"I did? The Orange haired one thought I was one of the pets." The woman shook her head, obviously frustrated with Kei's antics. Sher did seem happy to have customers though. "Well, I was going to recommend the exotic section in back, but a dog? We can do that, follow along, please." She requested and slithered off into one of the isles.
Several dogs were on display in that isle, in large, spacious kennels with various toys and such. "Well, if you're looking for a bargain, I suggest this little guy, he's free, just because we need to clear up space for another dog coming in soon, so if you want him . . . He's a Pomeranian/German Shepard mix. No one knows where he came from." She explained.
In the kennel next door, a litter of Labrador puppies barked and squirmed.
The shaggy dog the woman showed them, however, only stared back with loyal, yet playful eyes.

"I unfortunately do not remember the name of my mother- I spent little time with her, spending most of my days either studying or being trained practically since birth. She later died shortly before my indoctrination as a Chaos Space Marine during a loyalist boarding action on our ship. Her name started with a 'P'- that is all my memory retains before it was distorted by the surgeries. Most memories of my father come from after the augmentations or during training- which is the largest part of my life before the augmentations that I can recollect most clearly."
Volturius sighed upong drawing upon the memories: he did find it unfortunate how his memories were shattered by the ascendance and the years spent waging war- but it was the same for all other astartes, loyal or chaos. He however did find consolation in that his memories were at least not grim- he'd heard stories of how other space marines had accidentally killed their own families when laying siege or defending their homeworlds, remembering those that they gunned down were relatives only when their fellows recognized their faces, and not themselves. Thankfully, he never would have to fear such a grim realization.
Tipper shook her head. Part of her disliked the process for becoming Astartes because it took away too much of a person's base memories. Tipper always felt that the early years shaped the person. Her opinion was as valuable to used tissue, however.
"Alright, we'll think of something." She scooted over to him and gently touched a wing. Her delicate hands sought out the strong joints that made up the "fingers" and she rubbed the tissue around them. She hummed as she massaged him, her mind chasing various thoughts and concepts. After a while, she paused. "We need something to do. Can you pilot a ship? Maybe we could see what the planet has to offer? Or visit the space port above? I heard it's Nifid-owned."
"Quod Vult, Valde Valt"
Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

Although what I was thinking was maybe dropping over by the residence of those curious reptilians. For the previous owners of Terra, they seemed quite pleasant as xenos/ancients go. Certainly preferable to the Tau, Necrons, or the Eldar. I am also curious to see if they have the means of cloning my gene seed- allowing me to found a new Chapter in the name of Slaanesh."

I always thought that some of my biggest everyday concerns were how to keep myself preoccupied, or fixing up an art project, and now it all seems petty and frivolous when I see my friends do things like change careers, get married, solve long-time struggles, fight battles, or have kids."
She tilted her head and smoothed her stained skirt. "It makes me think, is that what normal people are supposed to do? Have I basically been this pretty little porcelain doll living in a cupboard in comparison to others? I feel real. Further more, just whose fault is it? Is that just the way I am, or was I raised away from that? My mom can be something of a doter at times. She actually still tries to physically cradle me on occasion."
