"Oh yay! Mister Rabbit's here!" Karen clapped her hands and waved the cute bunny over closer. "Here hun," she said excitedly while she rummaged through her handbag and popped open a prescription bottle, shaking out a few pills to go with the carrots. "Here, marshmallows with your slices!" Karen said with a nod. "Oh, if Rosie was here to see that I'm not as crazy as she keeps thinking I am."

She looked up to see the waiter still standing by their table, "Vodka martini, hun." She looked at MB, "What about you, poodle? Anything to drink?"

She tilted her head to one side while they were led to a table, "MB eats metal? Why, that is one resilient bunny. How does he fare with digesting fairies? Yeah, I have a few fae people he could munch if he's ever in the mood for it."

A waiter came by and Karen beamed at the man, "Pick your poison, hun, drinks are on me!"

"Arsenic," Naomi quipped, "But if you mean for drinks then I'll have a vodka martini, extra dry, please."

She glanced around the restaurant and was surprised to see the regulars from the building weren't lounging all around... for a change. Probably up to mayhem, she told herself.

"Fae? I don't know if he'd eat sentient things. He ate a flag with odd properties once, and has chewed his way through all sorts of stuff. He's a talented little fellow, and usually Cuisine isn't too far from him. I haven't seen him in a while. He was our head chef here." She crossed her legs and her head tilted ever so slightly. "What do you have against fae people? I haven't met any but surely they're not as bad as people assume them to be."

OOC: and I'll just skip response and go with...

"Vodka martini, extra dry," Naomi repeated to the waiter.

Boopsie turned and barreled back down the hall. She skidded to a halt, finally, upon seeing Thriller looming there. Churtle, she clicked. She began a slow, hesitant waddle towards him. Her demeanor was perfectly clear... get these things off my back, please! And this isn't my fault!

The smiles slipped from the twins' faces. Of course they knew they shouldn't have gone outside the apartment. And they knew the table cloth... which was now trashed... was a bad idea. And riding Boopsie without Ceril's permission was also not good. It all seemed like fun to start off with.

"H-hi Daddy," Sydney let go of her brother and chanced a soft greeting. She was sitting behind him on the water bear.

Xanthe cleaned up the empty bottles and then knocked on the bathroom door. "Envy, sweetness? Listen, you don't have to come out of there until you're ready. I have some food here, if you want, and I put on some coffee."

She keened a quick message to Blythe to tell her: A. come up for air and B. what had happened to Envy.

Cerillium wrote:
Hans leaned against one of the air conditioner units, now shoulder to shoulder with his counterpart. "Yes, it's been a very long time." He spoke in a fatigued voice without a trace of German accent. He held up his hand to prevent Will from speaking and then latched onto the man's sleeve. The two slipped Between.

The warm summer sun became a bleary grey orb surrounded by depressing clouds. Every edge seemed twice as sharp and their environment, although imbued with shades of grey and bereft of all other colors, took on a painful clarity. The rooftop, the city and the world seemed devoid of life. This place was a second home to both men. Hans released Will's arm and scooted on top of the air conditioner to give his feet a rest.

"We're kosher, yes. I don't know the full meaning behind the message, if that's what you're going to ask. We know Fritz has worked with Swith before. If you're asking me where Minerva is, I don't know that either. Now listen to me a moment."

He flicked his spent cigarette over the edge of the building before removing his wire framed glasses and tucking them into a breast pocket. "Klaus ran afoul of Atosh. The avatar accused him of being disloyal. Klaus objected and succored of course. Atosh is mad. Insane, Will. His desire to destroy the avatar of your god is insatiable.

"He learned, no doubt through Toshi, that the coo-coo clock in his office is not Klaus' actual clock. His wrath was boundless. Klaus bore the brunt of it. He stripped Klaus of his status and then stripped him of his power. He stripped him of his life and banished Krieger. Atosh demanded that Klaus remain in his domain. Any efforts to leave would mean that Klaus is a traitor. It's bullshit of course; Atosh isn't powerful enough to drive Klaus and Krieger apart forever. He can't sunder what War himself fashioned. I wasn't promoted to cultist leader after Klaus' was removed, by the way. That honor went to Toshi. Our forces are now dividing up. A few refused to follow Ogoti's old lapdog, especially now that he's shown himself to have betrayed his god. Others revel in the conversion."

Hans' hand lifted again to cut off Will's words. "Klaus is loyal to War, not Atosh. Krieger was fashioned by War, not Atosh. I and many of the others are loyal to War and Klaus, not Atosh. We have eternally endeavored to bring Atosh to his knees by War's command. Never before have we unveiled our purpose. At least, not before now. Last night, rumors circulated that Gestapo was in town. Last night, rumors also circulated that Minerva crossed into Atosh's domain. I believe both rumors are true. Fritz discovered the body of that unknown Gestapo man this morning. His neck had been snapped. There are many ways to kill us but the gesture is Klaus' trademark. The man's daemon is also destroyed. The evidence bears Krieger's chosen methods. Fritz' investigation further revealed that Klaus carried a body from the domain. It was undoubtedly Minerva's. He chose between maintaining the facade and protecting your leader and his choice was to directly disobey Atosh for your leader's sake.

"Where will we go, those of us loyal to Klaus and War? I'll tell you. Orders have come in from War himself and conveyed to us by Krieger. That greater daemon is to be exulted to Gore Lord. I am to find your Swith and petition her in the hopes she'll agree for us to become a Brazen Host. I suppose you'll become your lads' cultist leader if Minerva doesn't return. You'll work in tandem with Klaus yet retain your leadership of your men. The Four are undivided in this matter. Atosh must be brought down at all costs.

"You and I, and indeed our whole people, are unfathomable to the gods. We operate in ways they don't understand. We possess abilities none of us should have. They believe this is a result of the four avatars. You and I know they're right. Klaus and my time undercover with Atosh warped us into what we all are. I can't say I object. The Four are fine with this. They recognize our special abilities as useful. The Four's blessing is upon those of us who remain loyal to them."

"Well... fuck," Will flicked the lighter and put a flame to a cigarette. His shock at Hans' lack of German accent was insignificant compared to what the former Nazi had revealed. The news had taken the mickey out of him, to be certain.

"Alright," he said at last. The lilt had gone from his voice and he was a bit ashen. "I don't have say in the matter, but I'm inclined to go along with this. Swith would need to test the veracity of your statement, of course. But I believe you. Let's go to her." He stood and gestured for Hans to follow him.

Swith was still in the Lair. Will communed the information to her as he lead Hans down the stairs. He paused at the Lair door and waited to be admitted.

"Oh," Naomi offered a soft laugh. She chastised herself for being so literal. "I always forget that not everyone cavorts with the supernatural. I mean, everyone in the building does, but that's because not all are mortals, and then there are those who aren't mortal at all, and then there are those who were mortal but are now something else, and then we have things not even human, and then there are the gods. The mortals are my favorites, though... the velociraptors and humans. But they aren't necessarily normal, per se."

Hans followed Will. He was lost in his own thoughts as they went. Entering the Chaos quarters was, in his mind, like entering the enemy's camp although he had no reason to call any of these people such. He noted the cultist leaders' apartment and wondered if Klaus was there; he'd often assumed that where the man had relocated to it but that had never been confirmed. Would Will quietly box up Minerva's things and move himself into her bedroom? Eerie thought.

He stood in front of the Lair's door and tried to slowly unclench his muscles. Here, too, was another odd aspect of this new arrangement: he was going where few dared to tread. He'd been invited. Hans pondered the significance and found himself questioning if Klaus had been given access there prior. Would he be then the second Khornate to cross the threshold?

"Nice door." He didn't know what else to say.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

It was at this point that Aegis stepped into the clearing as a small breeze passed through masking his approach. It sent a ripple across his cloak as he approached the aliens his mask adjusting from a blank stare to one of professional observation. As he entered he place a fist over his heart in a sign of greeting, it was a military gesture in Luxan culture which he did out of habit not choice.

“Hail” he said in English “I am Aegis of the Luxan Empire, I seek to parlay with you”

He waited for a response of approval he didn’t want to intervene but felt he and his group could accommodate the new arrivals the best and wished to be hospitable.

The leader of the trio turned to face the newcomer, switching the natural programs of its exoskeleton to those geared for sudden entrance into combat in the possibility that the newcomer was hostile. Ensuring that the large metal beast flanked its right side, the alien strode up to the other, staring it down with photoreceptors that glowed a deep, oceanic blue.

"Who are you to seek council with us? Our databases register no organized alien government(s) claiming this planet or system." The alien asked with slight hostility. He hadn't expected there to be any other forces on this planet besides the poorly-advanced vertebrates. Hopefully the being wasn't part of some extradimensional reality-warping species, the alien personally hated such groups due to their unpredictability- which for a species that served to construct order, was most distressing. And diplomatically tricky, while not a legalized representative of the species or its government, the alien didn't wish to suddenly bring upon his race a costly war with another.

Unfortunately Aegis was part of some extradimensional reality-warping species, and while he didn't consider himself unpredictable or prone to diplomatically tricky he knew some would beg to differ.

Aegis’s mask gave a few quick clicks as the eyebrows lowered, the cheeks spread, and the eyelids closed a fraction of a centimeter. His response to the alien’s hostility was to adopt an air of bliss and indomitable calmness to easy their worry. While he gazed at the creature in front of him a group of molecular lensed Nanites crawling along the skin of his mask moved to keep an eye on the creature to his right, while the internal computer allowed him to adjust the settings on the LodeStone without activating it.

“Aegis of the Luxan Empire” he repeated “I never claimed we owned this section of this galaxy, I am simply a resident. You mentioned your search for an ancient alien object you consider your god, and wish to offer my services.”

Ate suddenly woke up, aware of the cold floor underneath him. He jumped up, with the agility of what could only be described as that of a cat's, scanning the room around him. He quickly realized, however, that he was only in the living room of his apartment! He gave himself a small laugh, realizing that he must have passed out after he had finished unpacking, as everything was put away.

Suddenly, a big, black mass flew at him! However, he calmly raised his arm and the mass rested on his arm. It was only Abaven, his pet raven. Looking around for Fae, his pet crow, he quickly spotted her resting on the couch. Now, this truly was home, he realized. But there was only one problem, he had no clue what else the hotel had in store, or where it might be located. Besides, he was going to have to find a bar at some point in time. After a quick shower, Ate carefully adjusted his gas-mask, and made sure that his new suit looked nice. Laundry would be a concern in the future, but he was sure he would find a way. Making one last adjustment to the straps on his gas-mask, he walked out the door, carefully locking it behind him. First things first, he decided, he would investigate the first floor and see what facilities were available there.

Riding the elevator down to the first floor, he wandered the halls, noting the dining room, kitchen, gathering room, and the gym. However, he was pleasantly surprised to find a library. In the few hotels and/or apartment buildings he had visited in the past, there had never been a library. Of course, however, it might not have been the most vast of expansive of libraries, but it was something. He chose a book from their selection, primarily on the history of Bielefeld, and settled down to read.

The BranRiech wrote:"Sure, I'm headed back to my room." Drova said, now ignoring his friend's antics by sidestepping, allowing the water to continue onwards, maybe hitting Chrys. He didn't know though, if it would actually hit her instead, but it would have been a rather happy accident. "I don't mind at all, I was just going to go and get dressed, and then head out flying."

Octavian huffed, bit disappointed that he had missed. "Well, I might as well get out as well. I do have things to get to after all..." Octavian quickly climbed out of the pool, and grabbed his towel to begin drying himself off as he started walking back to the Building. Octavian waved goodbye to Drova as he walked, and then rushed off as he continued drying himself off.

As Octavian passed by the library, he noticed that there was someone he had not met before inside of it. "Oh, who might you be?" Octavian decided he should notify the ACF that there was another person who might have powers. He had begun assuming that anyone who lived in the apartment had some kind of supernatural or paranormal powers, unless they proved otherwise. Octavian was still dripping wet, and in swim trunks. His feline tail waved slowly behind him, and Octavian was working on getting his ears dried out at the moment, so they weren't visible. But his uniquely colored black-and-white hair was sticking out from underneath the towel he was using to dry off. "Oh, and I am Octavian Aksarben, the crown prince of Foederatonis Imperium Aksarben."

"Hmm...?" Ate mused to himself, looking up to Octavian from his book. He carefully inspected him before politely responding, "Ah! Ate Dupont, at your service; but I haven't a title as fancy as yours. It's a pleasure to meet you, though, as I wasn't expecting royalty!" He half-way closed his book to show that he had his attention, although he was sure the conversation wouldn't be long.

"Hmm... Who were you expecting to meet here, then?" Octavian asked, as he continued to dry himself off. He moved the towel away from his head, revealing his feline ears standing up on his head. "Where might you be from? And do you have any supernatural powers? It seems as though many of the people in this apartment building have them. I am pretty sure we even have some gods here." Octavian shrugged, and waited for Ate's response. His face had his normal, half-bored expression. It didn't mean he wasn't interested in the conversation, but it was his default expression.

"Truthfully, I was expecting only common rabble. However, this place just seems to impress me around every corner!" He responded with a small yawn. "Anyways, I come from the Teepot Kingdom. Very isolated and protective, the place. However you seem very inquisitive, almost taking things too fast, so to speak. But no, I do not have any powers, and to be walking among gods is almost a scary though." He gave a low sighed to himself from the barrage of questions.

"I have a very inquisitive mind." OCtavian said with a shrug. "Most of the gods do not flaunt their power here, but I know that there are some.... At least they aren't as overt as the Velociraptor family is..." Octavian said with a sigh, remembering the strangeness that were the Raptors.

"Goin' shoppin'! Goin' shoppin'! Follow Mr. Nikanor~!", Torii giggled. She squeezed Yoshi's hand lightly and half-skipped along. She liked holding hands with people. It felt like they were becoming close, and everything was happy.

Taking a glance at Blossom, she smiled. Despite a rough meeting, she liked the young vampire, especially since she was young, like her. She, however, didn't say anything to the girl. She seemed worried or something...she couldn't put her finger on it...

"Yeah!" Bran shouted joyfully as he raced down the stairs with his friends in tow. He could picture no day better than this, spending the morning with Rylli, and getting to go shopping with some of his best friends. He didn't know why Blossom was coming along though, but he figured she was nice enough to do so without complaining.

"So, where to first?" He asked.

Yoshi laughed at Torii and her antics. He skipped alongside her, which for a man, and a man wearing a kimono no less, was a little odd. But, then again, Yoshi was a little bit on the feminine side.

Blossom turned around and smiled at Torii, though the only thing visible under the shadow were her eyes and teeth. She was young physically and sometimes mentally, but she was more than 700 years old, about 15 years older than Yuri actually. She then turned back to Bran, she was glad that his mood seemed to be improving.

Velociraptor family? Is that their last name or is he implying that...? Ate thought to himself, recalling even weirder things that he had seen in his travels. "Now, perhaps it is time for me to ask you a question? Is there a club or bar in this city? I am a bit parched, if you know what I mean."

The drenched trooper scowled and stripped off the towel that was now not very useful. Picking up her spatha and baton, she stowed those away, deployed her armor to cover herself up, and slung the wet towel around her neck with a solid thwap noise.

"Wings must be useful sometimes. Do you fly anywhere, or a specific place?" she asked, on their way back to the main building.

"Oh yes! There is a few bars in this area. There's a tavern called the 'Wilting Succubus' a short distance away, and a nightclub/restaurant called Chaos a few blocks away!" Octavian gave a grin, and then said, "Oh, and if you were wondering what I meant by 'Velociraptor Family'..... I actually meant the dinosaur. I am guessing you saw the house next door to this building, the very creepy one? That's where they live. Before I came here, I never knew I would meet super-intelligent Raptors.... Or that hey could possibly exist. But they do!"

Torii giggled some more at Yoshi's skipping. He seemed very cheerful at the moment, and she loved that. However, deep down inside, adult Torii new that he was probably just covering up to make her feel better. Still, she decided to enjoy it, rather than worry.

....

Katya had fallen asleep at some point, though only for a few minutes. "How...boring.", She though to herself. Things just suddenly seemed terribly boring to her. She took this as a sign to stop her work for the time being, and just relax. "Just relax~", She told herself. "You're a young, attractive, Proper Aristocratic Girl, and and Entrepreneur! You deserve to relax!"

She let these thoughts fill her mind and calm her down. Maybe a shower would be nice? Yes, a shower, and a nice hot cup of tea after that!

She giggled to herself, and carefully pushed Kruger away. She patted the puppy's head as she got off of the bed and hopped into the bathroom. She closed the door behind her, and left her cellphone on the sink counter.

Giovenith wrote:"Got it, got it, got it, annnnnd, got it!" checked Giovenith, writing down all their requests in her notepad. She now considered herself the official, handy-dandy checklist gal. "Oooooo, this'll be so much fun!"

She hurried after her group, skipping cheerfully along the way.

"It will be!", Ray giggled in a girly fashion, trying to entertain the group in some way or another. "I'm glad you're carrying around the notebook of places we must go adventure to!...In any case, we all seem to be here..." He pondered off as time went by and they continued moving. "So where do we want to actually go first? Bookstores, supply stores, restaurants, car dealers, gun shops...?"

"Well, I'm fine with going anywhere." Jacob said with a shrug. "We can go to the bookstore last for all I care..... I do want to explore a little bit though. Has anyone here seen more than the area from here to Chaos?" Jacob followed along a bit behind Ray and Albert, who nodded in agreement to what Jacob was saying and rolling his eyes at Ray's silliness. Jacob's tail also continued to wave rapidly, because he was incredibly excited to explore the city a little bit.

"Not me, other than the time we all went to the Wilting Succubus. It is rather pathetic, considering Chaos is right across the street from the building," Dora observed matter-of-factly. "The old city, though - that was a different story. I should go back sometime."
