Yuri bolted through NVE's lab and went outside. She ran and ran until she ended up on the outside of some Irish pub. She wanted something to drink to clear her head. Non-alcoholic of course. She entered the building.

Katya looked at Tieria for a minute. "Ya....well, anyway, I may as well go to that wretched pub and see what the new heroes are up to....care to join us? I can always vent to you on the way."

Torii finished her coffee and hopped up.

The BranRiech wrote:"Sure, and then we go for a drink? Oh, you must see the baby!" Bran chuckled happily. "And then we can go for a meeting, and to the pub." He suggested. He kept shooting glances to Voltarius, frightened by his frightening appearance.

Minerva (for sake of moving things along and not getting too distracted) made certain Bran had diapers to bring down to Rylli. "I'll stop in to see your new bundle once we've taken care of business," she explained. She wanted to give the baby her full attention, which she couldn't do with so many thoughts currently racing through her mind. She set out to find others to join them down the street.

She ran into the newcomer and, having her mind on other things, she simply handed him an application, told him to fill it out (it was written in his own language!) and drop it in the box. A key would appear on the counter once he'd done so.

She scampered on again to find people.

AETEN II wrote:"Aye. I also doubt anyone would want to attempt to eavesdrop on a pub fulled of Slaanesh Daemons. That... simply will not end well for the would-be spy, lest they enjoy having more orifices than a sponge. Tipper and I will swing by and walk there. No point in taking a cab, or even flying for that short distance."

Volturius then brought Tipper along with him, leaving the government building and walking shortly over to the pub. Entering, he took a seat at the bar and kicked over a stool for Tipper. Even sitting, he still was taller than the bartender, sitting a full head above him.

"Anything you have that can override my gene-seed organ's natural filtering of ingredients. If you have anything 'live', I'll take that as well. Please tell me you offer some sort of sentient cuisine?" The Chaos Raptor asked while his armored hands drummed their fingers on the bar, eagerly awaiting an answer he hoped to be 'yes'.

The Astartes behind the bar would have been better suited... if he'd been suited. He was dressed in loose black pants and a black tunic that did little to hide his daemonic augmentations. The massive Raptor had been squatting when people arrived. He stood up and still squatted on mechanical legs that added an extra joint and ended in lethal metallic claws much like NVE's own, only thicker and heavier than nature would have intended. He rose to his full height, legs extended to give him six extra feet over his typical brethren, and removed a barrel from the nook in the ceiling. Nimble (but clean) claws swiped a few live eels from the container and deposited them into a deep bowl. He poured an alcoholic broth over them to dull their writhing a bit while adding flavor to their flesh. He pushed the bowl in from of Volturius and then bowed, his cruel black horns momentarily coming into Tipper's limited range of view. Then he moved on to take the next order.

Volturius sighed in slight disappointment. While the animals gave off some terror, they were but animals, and thus the emotional feast was scarce, even if the physical one was ripe. Snapping up the eels one-by-one, Volturius appeared to feed similar to the animal of his namesake, slurping up the creatures whole- pausing only to smash the head into a meaty pulp with his enlarged canines. Finished devouring the majority, Volturius skinned one with his fangs, offering it to Tipper, stripped free of any alcoholic taint.

"Want one? Quite tasty. You can always get something else though."
"Quod Vult, Valde Valt"

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

"Very well" Tieria said, he was somewhat sympathetic towards Katya, even if he didn't outwardly show it. The purple haired Innovater waited for the Dimitrovs

Akito landed in the city and hailed a cab. The cold hearted Urranese (there are very few of those) booked a hotel room. It was sparsely decorated but expensive, just the way he liked it. He stretched and looked out of his immense window at the open city, in the direction of the apartment building. "Well, well, this is a lovely city after all. Too good for you I'm afraid. Suffer, you are going to suffer Yoshi." he said aloud to himself, a devilish smile sprawled across his face.

Yoshi nodded and jotted down some more notes on MB. "They say you have powers, what are they and how did you get them?"

"As good as any," Luce said mildly, joining them with a pint for himself. He turned to Minerva, and waited.

Minerva threw herself down on a comfortable bench and blew her bangs from her eyes. "What a day, eh Luce?" She gave the man a weak smile. "Herding cats. That's part of my job description. Oh bother, now where did Bran get to?"

She looked around and spied a few more residents. "Over here," she beckoned to them.

Tipper was happy to chew on her eel, and she held it like a raccoon would. It wasn't moving anymore but it had a satisfying crunch. She turned when she heard Minerva's voice and then slurped the rest of the eel into her mouth. "Us too?" she asked.

"Oh for fuck's sake," Minerva growled. "Yes, you too, and the Raptor. Stop being antisocial and join us, please."

Tipper scooted off the high stool and slipped over to the group. She sat down, but first made sure the bench was study enough for a Chaos Raptor.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Klaus waited for a response from Minerva.

"I'm of two minds. John Banks, Minister of Law and Order...Alfred Marquet, Minister of Finance... Gregory Hemsig, Minister of Defense. Those are three men who weld a lot of power and have a lot of say with the nation. Granted, the damn nation has ministers holding the oddest positions, but these three are ones who directly concern themselves with keeping things safe as a whole."

She sipped her tea and gave it some thought. "If we can't stop them, pay them to put their destructive skills to use? Perhaps. I could have died from embarrassment with Torii opened her mouth. The girl is a twit... I strongly recommend we never use her for negotiations. I'm surprised they didn't chuck us all out after that "demands" nonsense. We're in no position to make demands. They could tell us to leave and we'd have to do so. They give us rights; they can take those rights away. But I'm nattering about nothing."

Her eyebrow slowly arched. "They're asking us to form a sleeper cell, or a militia, to handle the odd stuff that comes in. In return, they'll compensate us for our time. My guess is they'll pay a team a fee, much like any mercenary group, and that team would divide the pay up as it wants. I asked Banks specifically, if this offer was ours to take or ignore as we wish. I asked what they would do about the ones who decide the offer won't work for them. He didn't answer me.

"One thing is obvious. They don't want foreign soldiers. Foreign soldiers have no right entering a country that doesn't want the assistance. They were also clear about something that we haven't given any thought to - papers. Visas. In other words, the nation is looking into what is crawling around its borders. As someone who makes a living crawling around unseen, this puts a crimp in my style.

"Having said that, I'll continue to do my job. I lend a hand anyway. I don't mind having the extra backing of the nation but, personally, I seldom take any action that isn't already required of me."
