Swith Witherward wrote:The BranRiech wrote:"Sure, and then we go for a drink? Oh, you must see the baby!" Bran chuckled happily. "And then we can go for a meeting, and to the pub." He suggested. He kept shooting glances to Voltarius, frightened by his frightening appearance.
Minerva (for sake of moving things along and not getting too distracted) made certain Bran had diapers to bring down to Rylli. "I'll stop in to see your new bundle once we've taken care of business," she explained. She wanted to give the baby her full attention, which she couldn't do with so many thoughts currently racing through her mind. She set out to find others to join them down the street.
She ran into the newcomer and, having her mind on other things, she simply handed him an application, told him to fill it out (it was written in his own language!) and drop it in the box. A key would appear on the counter once he'd done so.
She scampered on again to find people.
--AETEN II wrote:"Aye. I also doubt anyone would want to attempt to eavesdrop on a pub fulled of Slaanesh Daemons. That... simply will not end well for the would-be spy, lest they enjoy having more orifices than a sponge. Tipper and I will swing by and walk there. No point in taking a cab, or even flying for that short distance."
Volturius then brought Tipper along with him, leaving the government building and walking shortly over to the pub. Entering, he took a seat at the bar and kicked over a stool for Tipper. Even sitting, he still was taller than the bartender, sitting a full head above him.
"Anything you have that can override my gene-seed organ's natural filtering of ingredients. If you have anything 'live', I'll take that as well. Please tell me you offer some sort of sentient cuisine?" The Chaos Raptor asked while his armored hands drummed their fingers on the bar, eagerly awaiting an answer he hoped to be 'yes'.
The Astartes behind the bar would have been better suited... if he'd been suited. He was dressed in loose black pants and a black tunic that did little to hide his daemonic augmentations. The massive Raptor had been squatting when people arrived. He stood up and still squatted on mechanical legs that added an extra joint and ended in lethal metallic claws much like NVE's own, only thicker and heavier than nature would have intended. He rose to his full height, legs extended to give him six extra feet over his typical brethren, and removed a barrel from the nook in the ceiling. Nimble (but clean) claws swiped a few live eels from the container and deposited them into a deep bowl. He poured an alcoholic broth over them to dull their writhing a bit while adding flavor to their flesh. He pushed the bowl in from of Volturius and then bowed, his cruel black horns momentarily coming into Tipper's limited range of view. Then he moved on to take the next order.
"Quod Vult, Valde Valt"
Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

"Because life is heartless, it does not care about the plight of those like us. I am no longer mortal, however, but I cannot glide through this life, I must walk it like you. What exactly seems to be stressing you?" Tieria answered.
"You mean like a police or military?" asked Yuri, raising an eyebrow. She had green tea and sipped at it delicately.
