Not many things could actually detect it except something that is actually built to detect electromagnetic waves. This allowed him to have a 360 degree view of all around him all the time. Sort of like a built in radar.

Thomas focused his energy on the blade and began to bend it and knock it out of his opponents hand. When his opponent landed on the ground Thomas got into a boxing stance and threw two consecutive jabs at the kid's face before he could recover.

Luckily Takashi managed to dodge the first one, but the second jab struck him on his left cheek, causing him to stagger backwards. Trying to recover faster, he created a scythe, bringing the curved blade down into the ground, stabilizing his body. "Good hit." He said out loud.

Upon recovering, Takashi quickly formed another Wooden Katana in his free hand, leaving his scythe in the ground. Then without another word from him, Takashi charged his opponent, slicing at him seven times once he got in range of his wooden Katana, his slices just a blur.

Thomas barely had time to react to his opponent's attack. He put his hands up and tried to control the blade but nothing. "Wood, smart." He then put his hands up in defense as this opponent's' strikes struck his arms. After the last one Thomas quickly rolled away from his position and clenched his fists and focused. The earth he was standing jolted up like a spike at his opponents hand. Then Thomas sent two rocks quickly at his opponent's chest.
