2 Years Since the Zombie War Began

The sun was just beginning to rise over the beleagered settlement of Clemmons. Before the war, Clemmons served as the home for many white-collar businessmen who had high-powered jobs in Winston-Salem. 19,000 people lived in this small village, and two years after the war began, only 400 people remain. Few of the people who live here were prior residents, while many of them fled Winston after the distrastrous military operation in the city that led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans. In this new apocalyptic society, the elite class of white-collar workers meant almost nothing. If you couldn't use a weapon or at least have some skills applicable to survival and/or construction, you couldn't hack it. Here in Clemmons, a majority of the populace was part of the Pre-War white collar elite, while only a few were blue-collar, emergency service personnel, or prior (or in some cases, active) military. One of the issues was to train these white-collar professionals how to survive in this new world, while also contending with new challenges that seemed to just appear out of nowhere.

Colonel Lewis Holden, formerly a Regimental CO in the 82nd. Airborne Division, awoke in his house, which was one of the many two-story homes that littered Clemmons. This was his home before the war, and after he almost lost his entire regiment at Winston, this was the first place he went. His wife had killed over 100 zombies in defense of their home and their son before she killed herself in their bedroom. Every day, for two years, this haunted Lewis. But he had to push past it, as he was the CLEMSEC Chief. After putting on his fatigues and beret, he poured himself a small cup of rationed water for breakfast, along with a single biscuit. Food and water were being rationed, and his breakfast was meager at best. He then made his way outside, as the 90-strong full-time CLEMSEC force was assembled for morning PT. Their morning PT uniform consisted of a hydration pack (or other water-carrying device), cover, pants, and boots. He watched as the PLs, Platoon Sergeants, Squad Leaders, and Team Leaders PT'ed with their men. Absent from PT were the Firewatch personnel, who manned the 4 entrance gates to Clemmons. Right now, they were carrying out Wall Sanitation, whoch consisted of killing the zombies gathering outside the 15-foot walls. Most men used long poles with improvised spearheads, or even bows and crossbows with rope tied on the bolts or arrows in order to retrieve their ammunition. Lewis stood on the ramparts, looking at the skyline of Winston in the distance. Smoke was still emerging, and he could heard the distant sounds of moans, gunfire, and explosions.

Mike had not slept well. After dragging himself out of his sleeping bag, banging his head off the roof of the attic he'd been crashing in lately, he had showered up and gone out to face the day.

There was usually very little activity going on around his usual 4 a.m. wakeup time, so Mike spent some time cleaning his weapons, despite not having dirtied them, taking inventory of his gear, and checking in on his friends, most of whom were still dozing. After that, he began the morning ritual of checking over the walls his newfound home backed on to, and spent some time fixing up a few firearms that had been dropped off with him. Most of the repairs were sadly simple - a little oil for a lazy soldier's AR, a new firing pin, or as close as new could be had, for an old side by side shotgun, and so on. When things broke badly in this new world, they tended to stay as such.

After the town had awoken, Mike decided to take a break and engage in what he viewed as Clemmon's only real source of entertainment: killing zombies. Though not a member of the Firewatch unit, there were few things that could relax him more than a solitary walk along some of the less-patrolled areas of the wall with a little sweep-and-clear thrown in. He was not sure how CLEMSEC would look opon this, but for some reason he doubted he would end up with anything resembling a real punishment were he caught.

Sliding his Enfield's 17 inch bayonet out of it's scabbard, and fixing it to the gun with an efficient and practiced *snap*, he headed out along the fenceline. He did not have to go far before running into a straggler bumping aimlessly against the barricades. With a quick, fluid motion, he thrust his rifle towards the zombie, and was rewarded with what had become a pleasant *schnick*.

He twisted his blade in the zombie's eye, happy to have managed to put it out of action before it had a chance to moan, and continued on down the wall.

As Mike continued on down the way, he would see an individual approaching him. The figure then raised what appeared to be a spear gun and pulled the trigger, releasing a 3-pronged spear that hit a zombie in the head. As the man yanked the spear out, pulling the rope that was tied to the spear, a sick sound could be heard. Behind Mike, he would feel a firm hand grab his shoulder, but not in a threatening manner. When he turned around, he would notice Lewis standing there. Everyone though he was new, he would most likely recognize the Chief of CLEMSEC.

"You don't look like one of my guys, but keep up the good work," he said, speaking with a Southern accent.

Vera woke up around this time, like she always did. She never had the time to sleep in like the others, there was always too much work to be done, especially being the Community/Housing Director of Clemmons. Vera brushed the hair out of her eyes, removed the silk bed sheets and pulled back the curtain, allowing the morning sun to fill the room. Out the large window, Vera could see a few others starting the day, some of CLEMSEC officers were already out paroling the area, and safe guarding the haven.

Vera stumbled upon Clemmons by complete accident while making her trek west, but decided to say within the walls. However instead of finding cracked out survivalist, or gun crazy military men, she found several of the inhabitants to be part of the upper crust of society such as herself. Of course there were a few cracked out survivalist and gun crazy military men, but just enough to make everyone feel secure, to maintain order. After doing some "research" and mingling with the right men, Vera found herself at a cushy job withing Clemmons. Granted she was bust throughout the day, but it had it's rewards. Vera secured one of the biggest homes for herself, and was able to keep it up very nicely, as she did with all building within Clemmons.

After getting ready and doing her make up, Vera slipped into a a black dress, black stilettos and completed her outfit with a white cropped blazer. She grabbed her purse, memo pad, pad, and a few documents before locking the front door, and making her way to the Administrative Building.

As Lewis spoke with Mike, he looked over and noticed Vera walking to the Administrative Building, which was based in an old office building in Clemmons. It was rare for someone to be dressed in formal clothing since the building of Clemmons, but Lewis knew that Vera was someone with a high-enough fashion sense that wasn't the least be compromised by the apocalypse. Like a few other men, she had "earned" his support in order to earn her a job as CLEMAD's housing director. As she made her way to work, he waved to her.

Noticing that Lewis had waved, Vera made a detour to come and greet the Colonel.

"Colonel Lewis, what a...nice morning we're having. Oh and by the way before I forget, I cleared out one the older apartment buildings and had them outfitted as barracks for your men. They're not the Ritz Carlton, but they should provide your men with decent accommodations. The finishing touches are underway as we speak and should move in ready by the end of the day."

Johnny woke up in the same cruddy apartment on the 13th floor of a apartment building since he came to Clemmons, his friends had lived in the same room one slept on a couch, one slept on one mattress laying beside the door, one slept the other mattress in the main bed room, one slept on a reclined chair. They always rotated this every night. It was a bad way to live at first but they adapted to the room. When they got it the paint was chipping off the wall now the whole paint is almost gone. But this was all they could afford so they live here. Realizing that they were a little late Johnny quickly got up and woke all his friends they all put on their work cloths which they only had one more pair of cloths then that. They went down the elevator and went out the door and was going to walk and go open their tiny mechanic shop. Every morning walking to the shop they always seen other people and they would say whether or not they could survive if they were not in this town or not, they made a game out of it as a way to pass the time. Walking down the street they see a girl in a black dress talking to the Colonel. "They is one person that wouldn't survive" Dawson said which was one of Johnny's friends, the others were Jesse and Josh. "Hmm, yeah must be nice having that big of a house and having a job where it isn't 500 degrees in there seriously guys we got to get a air conditioner in our shop." Johnny said. "We don't even have one in our room what makes you think we are going to get one for the shop?" Jesse said "Yeah I don't know what I was thinking either *laughs* well we are alive we could be on the outside getting tore up by zombies right now."

(OOC: if it has been two years since the Plague, Jessica will be about 21. She was 19 before the outbreak)

Advanced, N.C
12 miles South of Clemmons. 0530

It has only been a month since Jessica joined Clemmons. For the first couple years Jessica was surviving on her own. She preferred it that way. She didn't have to rely on anyone for survival and more importantly, no one had to rely on her. She didn't want to join Clemmons but she didn't have a choice. There were more zombie than last year. Maybe more people are becoming infected, maybe the hordes are moving to search for more food...maybe they knew Clemmons was there. Perhaps they somehow knew Clemmons was there, maybe they knew what was inside of Clemmons, a large food source.

Jessica left the compound early in the morning for Advance. She was use to traveling cross country at night, it wasn't new to her. She got to the outskirts around 5:30am. The city wasn't even a city, it was more of a town or a village. It was still bigger then her hometown, a population sign displayed a population of 1,138.

She crept low as she advanced towards the town, a couple of zombies loitered off in the distance, they weren't a threat. Jessica ducked behind a concrete barrier and took out a pair of binoculars. She took a sip from her camelBak before looking towards the town. With her vantage point she had a good view of Main Street. She scanned the area, looking for signs of the undead... and life. Jessica learned awfully quick that survivors are not always to be trusted. There were a few zombies but no signs of survivors in the town. She saw a veterinarian clinic and decided that was a good place to start. Jessica took off towards the clinic.

Johnny stops walking when he thinks he hears something about a bar being opened. "Hey guys go ahead I'll be back real quick." He said to his friends. He went over to the Colonel and said "Excuse me Colonel, but did I hear you say something about a bar being opened, like being opened to everyone?"

(OOC: Now, I could be very descriptive with this post. It has been two years and the clinic is locked. To not offend anyone I will avoid being "dark" here.)

She advanced to the clinic, ducking behind cars and buildings. She didn't want to attract the attention of the zombies. If one sees you more will show up, maybe they have some form of basic communication. The clinic appeared to be a small Mom and Pop shop, nothing too fancy. She tried to open the door but it was locked. Perhaps that was a good thing, the clinic hasn't been looted. She kneeled down and started to pick the lock. Two years of surviving on her own, Jessica got pretty efficient with a lock pick. The tumblers moved into position and with a click the door opened. Jessica cringed as she slowly pushed the door open, she was concerned about what she might find. She took out a crowbar she found on the road and crept through the door. The lobby was vacant and rather clean, no signs of struggle. There was nothing worth taking in the lobby, just a few magazines. She pushed through the door that lead back to examination room. Jessica crept down the hallway, but stopped at a utility closest. She opened and found a case of "white gold" she tucked the six pack of toilet paper under her arm. It was light and she could still carry it while having to swing a crowbar. She got to the two doors that opened into the exam room, she cringed as she pushed the door open.

She breathed a sigh of relief as she walked through the doors. The cages were empty, they must have released the animals when the outbreak occurred. Jessica shivered when she thought of what she could have found. A dog or cat locked in a cage and what two years could have done to them. She walked over to the medical supplies and smiled. The cabinet was still fully stocked with medicine and medical equipment. She looked around for trouble before taking off her pack. The cabinet was locked but a crowbar through the glass took care of that.

Morphine, syringes, bandages, disinfectants, antibiotics and everything in between. Jessica didn't know what all the labels were or even if it was safe for humans, but some of the medicine she recognized was safe for humans. She carefully packed the equipment into her pack, not wanting to damage the vials. She took all the supplies and still had some room left in the pack. She noticed a sterilization equipment. She knew the hospital back at Clemmons didn't have one, they had to use bleach to clean their equipment. But the machine was far to heavy to move. Jessica decided to leave and search other buildings. As she walked out of the door a zombie was facing away from her, she dropped the toilet paper as she swung the crowbar into the back of the zombie's head, the zombie went limp as it fell to the ground. She picked up the toilet paper and walked down Main Street.

Most of the other shops were in dismay, there was definitely an outbreak here. She walked pass a pub and decided to take a look, she didn't drink but others back at Clemmons certainly did. The pub was a mess. No zombies were present, maybe they moved on when they realized there was no food. The pub was mostly looted, the shelves were all bare. Jessica walked behind the bar and noticed three bottles under a pile of trash. Jack Daniels, Johnnie Walker Black Label and Everclear. Very strong liquor. She was just about to leave when a thought came to her, she decided to look in the back. She went to the back room and smiled, she found what she was looking for. A two wheel dolly sat in the corner, the pub must have used it to move kegs of beer. She grabbed the dolly and took it back to the clinic. The clinic was still clear of zombies. She strapped the machine to the dolly and decided to head back to Clemmons. She wanted to explore more, but the dolly made her extremely vulnerable, plus it was going to significantly slow her down. She left Advance and headed North.

With about five miles left to Clemmons, Jessica saw something that sent a shiver through her back. Off in the distance, perhaps half a mile East was a large group of zombies and farther east were stragglers, trying to catch up to the group. It was hard to count all of the but the zombies probably numbered about 75. At their current heading they would reach Clemmons, did they know the compound was there? Jessica double timed it back to the compound, which was difficult to do with the dolly.

Jessica got back to the compound and the guards on the wall opened the gate and Jessica moved through. She wheeled the dolly up the street and noticed Lewis, the CLEMESC Cheif, was walking along the wall. Jessica called over to Lewis to follow her back to the central building (HQ building) she was back from her supply run and wanted to off load the supplies.

Lewis gave a smirk as Vera brushed her hand across his upper arm. Although he still loved his deceased wife, he felt it was better for him to move on. Elinor would have wanted him to move on and not dwell over her death, but Emma was a different story. His eldest daughter disliked him, due to the fact that the two hardly ever saw one another, even before the war began. He felt like she blamed him for Elinor's death, as well as the deaths of the rest of the family. He loved his daughter deeply, but he felt like there was a wall between the two of them. To him, Emma was his baby girl, and it was his duty to protect her, but he also knew that she was a woman now, and she could carve her own path. Emma however, saw her father as an authority figure that she was somehow related to. It weighed heavily on Lewis's mind, and he hated being perceived as just some authority figure. However, Clemmons had to come first, as the 400 people of the settlement depended on him.

"We can talk later then," he said as Vera walked away and Johnny showed up. "Of course. The last thing we need is for people to feel like there is a divide between CLEMSEC and the other survivors. The bar will be open for everyone, but it will take some time to set it up, as well as to find staff to build it. If you ask me, I think that the bar should be on the side right now. The water shortage is more of a pressin' matter. Rationin' is an issue, and we'll need more resources before we can increase ration allowance."

As he spoke with Johnny, he heard Jessica calling for him. As he approached her, some of the regular survivors walked over and began to help unload the haul. Lewis looked over at Jessica. She was a good worker and had the motivation to support Clemmons.

"Did you notice anythin' else in Advance?" he asked. "Perhaps anythin' you couldn't really move yourself that we might need?"

Jessica sighed in relief as she took off her pack. "I only had a chance to explore the Veterinarian Clinic. It wasn't ransacked, yet. I cleaned out the medical supply closest. I got a lot of medicine and first aid equipment." Jessica pointed towards a group of people pushing the dolly. "I got that to, pushing that was a chore. It's a sterilization station, I almost couldn't carry it back. I knew the medical station needed it, they were only using bleach. Most of the town wasn't ransacked. I plan on making another trip tomorrow." Jessica paused for a moment before smiling. "I also found these in a pub," Jessica said as she pulled out the three handles of liquor. "I don't drink, don't need it, but I know some people do."

"Before I forget. I noticed a large group of zombies coming this way," Jessica pointed SW. "It was this side of the river, about five or six miles South. I counted about 75, but more were joining the group. Given their present direction they will run into Clemmons."

Prentis's life had taken some rather strange directions... He had been a rising and eminent physicist, now he taught children and teenagers Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, History and Geography in a small town that he had never before heard of in the backwaters of North Carolina. Half of class time today was dedicated to walkers... It had become an integral field for anyone wishing to survive in this new world.

He started class with the biology and basic instinctive behaviour exhibited by walkers and how in larger groups they seemed to show elements of co-operation. Covering also the actions that can be employed to save a victim of bites and contamination after initial infection, as long as the infection was centered on an extremity. For an infection of the torso or head their was no contingency or medical solution other than a quick and painless death for the patient.

The afternoon lessons that day would be taken by a couple of senior members of Clemsec. This would inform the students of the survival strategies best employed in the evasion, killing and disposing of walkers in one-to-one and group situations. This would also allow Prentis to catch up on duties at the CLEMAD building. To be perfectly frank he found the establishment of the safe zone bizarre, and the attempts of the majority of its citizenry to maintain a sense of normality of life nothing less than delusional given the new world order. He none the less appreciated the kindness himself and John had been shown on arrival in a not so healthy state some 11 months ago. He had quickly shown his skills in everything from teaching, administration, leadership and military strategy and been assigned a place on CLEMAD to help administer the day to day duties of the populace and its disputes and administration. John had naturally fit into a role in CLEMSEC an though he resisted leaving Prentis's side, after much insistence and a heated conversation as to whether a 6'2 military body guard could pass for a teaching assistant he sought a role in the militia...

As he listened to his class reading from Hamlet and discussing among themselves the importance and profound nature of its comment on life and death in an intervening English period, he found his thoughts wandering, as they often did..... to the problems he had studied at MIT. In his mind he could visualize the nature of reality in its quantum and mathematical form... Before inevitably being brought back to earth by a fight in class between a couple of the kids...
"Stabbing them is better than shooting them" and repeated cries of "Uh-Uh", "Shut-up","No, you shut up"....

He slammed a metal ruler down on the desk and the class fell immediately quiet... He waited for a few moments before speaking...
"Its a nice day outside and you have an hour before your afternoon classes with the CLEMSEC officers, take some time to think about Hamlet. Tomorrow we will be taking a look at empire and the foundations of strong social society, from the Romans and Mongolians to the British and American.

He dismissed the class and returned to his thoughts.

Upon hearing the words "large group of zombies", Lewis got a move on, ordering CLEMSEC to raise the alarm and begin preparing for the horde. Due to the possibility of attracting zombies with a bell or other loud device, each building in Clemmons had a walkie talkie for emergencies. News of the horde was passed down to everyone, and CLEMSEC personnel finished raising the flag before mobilizing the Rapid Reaction Force (RRF). The RRF consisted solely of experienced soldiers, veterans, and law enforcement personnel, and their job was to counter hordes head-on and decimate their ranks before they could make it to the wall. They operated with all weapons hot, and no restrictions on how they attacked. Mainly, they used vehicles such as HMMWVs and ATVs in order to be quick and mobile, many times using molotov cocktails and improvised explosives in order to counter the hordes. They were ready to act on a moment's notice in case they were needed, and around 30 regular CLEMSEC personnel manned the South Wall, waiting for the horde to strike.

Vera was situated in her office, going through the tons of paper work on her desk. She swiveled the chair around and peered out he window, looking at the scenery. In the distance plumes of smoke could be seen here and there, and beyond the cities walls there were a few of those things scattered about. She played around with the Mont Blanc pen, placing the cap between her teeth, tapping the ball point on the armrest out of pure boredom.

She swung the chair back to her desk and looked over housing request.

DENIED ,DENIED, DENIED, ACCEPTED, DENIED, ACCEPTED, DENIED, DENIED, DENIED, ACCEPTED.

She passed the papers on to her assistant who would then deliver the news to devastated and joyful families.

Because of her job, many people would often bribe or threaten her for better housing, but Vera never let outside influences sway her decision when it came to housing issues. After working on the housing applications, Vera looked at layout for power and water. Luckily Clemmons had power, however the water was a different situation. The water pump was in the red zone and she'd been trying for weeks to get it cleared. It was something she'd have to bring up to Colonel Lewis later on in the day.

Vera then pulled out the map of Clemmons to survey available buildings for the bar that Lewis had proposed. After reviewing the map Vera found a spot that seemed perfect. It was an old diner located 2 blocks away from the new barracks that were just finding being outfitted. Vera filed the proper documents to secure the spot and handed a memo for her assistant to hand to Lewis.

Colonel Lewis,
The barracks for your men will be move in ready at 1700.
I have secured a location for the proposed bar.
When you have time, we need to discuss details for the bar
and address the water pump issue.
- Vera Evans

As Vera handed the note her assistant, the alarms went off. Vera spun around her chair and saw hordes of zombies outside the cities walls.

"Shit...lock down the building, get everybody to the safe zones." Vera said as she pulled out her 9mm from her purse before barricading herself in her office.

He had struck a novel idea... Sitting against a tree outside the new "School" Building he was lost in his own world. Could it be correct? If so it would solve the issue of endless infinity's resulting from the combinations of the two cornerstones of physics but how could he reconcile the thermodynamics....

The walkie talkie he kept on him signal the threat and he jumped up. He had let the children out a little early and though most were playing on the grass he couldnt see Billie or Jen...

"Kids, everyone inside now" ... The buidling had been strongly barricaded and reinforced itself in case of breach to the main walls but he had to find his two runaways....

He grabbed the walkie talkie and switched the receiver..
"Col Lewis, school building and all children accounted for other than Billie Gray and Jen housman..."

He waited for a reply and took out his pistol, his rifle was kept under the desk in the classroom and was he considered only for emergencies...

Lewis was walking around Clemmons as his men made their way to their positions when his walkie talkie crackled to life. He unclipped the device from his belt and replied. It was Mr. Prentis, one of the teachers for CLEMAD.

"Copy that," he said. "Don't rush everyone. Horde's 5-6 miles outside the wall. It'll be a while b'fore they're here, but we're callin' Code Yellow right now. Just take account of the runaways and then send everyone home. Horde's strength is at 75, though it may pick up when the shootin' starts. Just be ready."

Not many people were panicking, as most everyone heard the news about the horde's present location. Still though, CLEMSEC was getting ready in case the horde increase in numbers. Luckily, the horde was far from Winston, and the zombies in Lexington and High Point tended to stay put.

Farouq groaned and rubbed his head. It was another day; the two lights in his flat turned on and flickered as he flipped the switch and rolled out of bed.
His walkie-talkie buzzed and he turned the volume down; no point in worrying about anything until he got his head straight. He opened his closet and looked at the meager clothes inside of it- the Iranian man threw on a leather jacket with some synthetic-cloth pants and a blue-collared shirt. The jacket was, in fact, his carry vest, and he tucked his Blackhawk in, with a few extra cylinders.

"Colonel Holden, what's our defensive situation right now?"
He had something planned out for the day; a two-pronged venture out into the wild lands past the walls, an attempt to get the water plant back up and running. But if there was a horde coming, or some other calamity happening, then they'd likely be locked down.

As he asked, the alarms went off, and he muttered,
"Well, fuck, that's that."

"Let me know if you need assistance in distracting the zombies or pulling them away from the compound. I've created a device that can fit in a backpack. It emits a loud audible siren that will attract the zombies attention. I have field tested it before on some of my runs. I had groups of zombies I needed to lure away from an area. The device works wonders, the zombies eagerly follow it. The problem, for me at least, is outrunning the zombies, I had to keep a slow pace. But if you need to distract the zombies let me know. Also I'm making another run tomorrow. Ask around, let me know if there are any special request on what people want." Jessica followed Lewis up the ladder and pointed towards the direction of the zombie horde. "You should be able to see them any minute now."

Ailie's hands were twitching again.

She stared at her hands before looking over the wall with a worried yet somewhat calm gaze, waiting for the walking corpse's, the once human beings turned into a mindless wandering locust like beast that has no other motives than to eat and spread on there plague onto other people, a monster that feels no fear, no pain, no mercy and will fight on to the last man until ether it kills or is killed. She clutched her Rifle tightly in a high ready position as she looked over the south wall and over to the horizon, her thoughts quickly wandered back to the Yonkers as she anxiously awaited for the approaching horde. She had learned from the mistakes that happened in that battle and wasn't going to allow them to repeat, she quickly made mental kill zones, checked over her gear over and over again, mentally preparing herself for the fight that lay ahead.

"Just remember, they ain't in a rush, why should we be?" she loudly started with a slightly uneasy smile, her voice was soft with a slight hint of a Scottish accent and dialect which she had picked up from her father who hadn't adopted the American way of talking yet . "Take your time and Make every round count." she already knew that most of the people on the wall knew this and that she had very limited command over anyone but she couldn't help it, it was her nerves talking, even thought she had been through these scenarios plenty of times already.

Ali took one last glance at her free hand, the tremors had stopped, Allie admitted a small grin, placing her free hand on the walls make shift railings.

"Let's purge us some Zack." Ailie muttered silently.

The children had been sent home and he had grabbed his rifle from under the desk... He had made a quick lap of the town but couldnt find the 2 kids anywhere... He had made his way to the drakes house, a small 2 story house at the corner of the street. The drakes had 4 kids, Emily being the oldest and she was Best friends with Jen... He rang the doorbell and waited for the answer.

"I need to know if their is anywhere they might be hiding, have they mentioned a hiding spot or anything" He calmly explained to Emily, he could see she knew something but she was obviously scared. She kept looking at her father and when he stood up she finally cracked...

" They went swimming... I told em not to, that they'd get us in trouble... but.. but... they didnt listen...." She was crying and from the look her father gave her he would give her reason to.

"Where Emily?"
"By the IHOP over the freeway, there is a pool Billie found that is clean and covered, I only went once i swear, i promise daddy, i only went once..."

He almost ran out the house, he thought about letting Lewis deal with it but they were his kids and lewis would have his hands full shortly... He did decide to ask for some backup though... He grabbed the walkie talkie out...

"Col Lewis, our two little ducks are swimming out by the IHOP, can you spare 2 men to meet me by the north gate?"
