Sure I hate myself for it, but fuck it, we invited this. It's sad, but at some point you just stop caring. People can scream and cry but nothing will ever get done about it. When was it last that a shooting incident like this (or any other) actually made people legitimately search for answers or try a new approach? None that I can think of, It's been the same people, shouting the same expletives with the same people dying.
I hear they have good internet over in Scandinavia.

But now that it's been 24 hours since I first posted about invading Austria, I've technically been advancing up that hilltop for 2 months. What's the protocol for dealing with this kind of situation?

Found it, also, I have a claim on Madagascar, and those tiny islands around it. If war is really going to erupt, all products from Dvipantara to any western countries will stop due to the fact that the Indian Ocean's going to be a battlefield, and Dvipantaran merchants didn't reach Europe through the Cape of Good Hope yet. Some rich people are going to wonder why the price of their favorite spices are suddenly skyrocketing.

Ok then.
Nation Name: Dvipantara Confederation
National Flag:
Claims:Note the tiny islands, also too much hassle to color them all.
Form of Government: A loose empire/confederation
Head of State: Emperor Maharlika V
Capital City: Tondo (Manila)
Population: 7,000,000
Military Size: 140,000
Military Type: Mostly navy, with the army doing either border control or policing.
Naval Strength: Rather strong to protect the islands from warlords and invaders.
Economic Strength: Somewhat wealthy given the spice trade.
Land Routes: They're almost all (except the Malaysian Peninsula and Champa) in islands.
Sea Routes Very well, given that they're on islands.
Primary Goals: Control all the lands settled by the Austronesian people.
History: In ancient times, there was a schism between the Theravada Branch of Buddhism and the Dvipayana Branch of Buddhism. Due to Dvipayana's influence in Maritime Southeast Asia, it halted the advance of Islam in the area. As the numerous kingdoms form into being, a legend began to be popularized, the legend of the Ancient Dvipantaran people who fled the corrupt land of China and reject the tyrannical Rule of Heaven, instead they were led by the Sea and from Taiwan, they spread to numerous islands in the world. The legend speaks of great fortune to the people when they finally reunite into one nation. A confederation of kingdoms was formed as a way to make the legend into reality. Using the legend as a basis, they search and incorporate these ancestral islands and their brothers by blood. TBA

Claim's the wrong word, but if you read the goal and the talk earlier, they said having Madagascar is going to stretch my lines too far so they ask me to remove it in my claims. But I still desire Madagascar, if you read my IC posts about it.

1) you still had no claim
2) I desire it as well, in fact I own a large portion of it
3) I my IC posts talk about it as well, before you in fact

1. You also don't have a claim
2. One province doesn't mean large portion
3. You were ahead yes, but your goal is, and I quote, 'Industrialization, conquest of central Asia and India, strong borders, security, colonies in Indonesia and Africa', while I have Indonesia, I can help you gain African holdings on the continent for Madagascar, and those tiny islands around it.

If I'm correct, the only mention you make of it is colonists heading TO it, from the Maldives.

Photana wrote:Nation Name: The Khazar Khaganate (If I can only have one nation, I'd like this one.)
National Flag: Blue Star of David on a Yellow background.
Claims: The remaining parts of Turkey.
Form of Government: Divine Right Absolute Monarchy.
Head of State: Khan Isaac
Capital City: New Jerusalem
Population: 15 million
Military Size: 500,000 full time soldiers.
Military Type: The Khazar Khaganate's army has a strong cavalry tradition, and a strong cavalry force, based around dragoons. Infantry is not tossed at the wayside, but is considered less important than the Cavalry. Modern Musket armament is common and standard.
Naval Strength: The navy is split into two squadrons, Black Sea and Mediterranean, both with around 25 combat ships, and 50 economic/supply ships. These are mostly used to try and keep the Bosphorus Strait open, to make travel and trade easier.
Economic Strength: The Economy is strong, based around banking, trade, and production.
Land Routes: The Khaganate is well connected by land, most well travelled paths are paved.
Sea Routes: The Khaganate suffers at sea, mostly because the Bosphorus is uncontrolled, and that splits the Sea routes of the country in two.
Primary Goals: Expand trade, possibly control part of the Bosphorus, Expand into either the New World or Africa
History: The Khazars migrated into Western Anatolia, after converting to Judaism, in 1279. They settled into their new lands, and began to modernize. After going through a long period of modernizing, the Khazars began to reach out to their neighbors, negotiating trade and protection treaties. This period ended in 1575, with the Succession crisis of Ali and Jacob. The crisis ended with the succession of Jacob, who returned to the outside world. Isaac, the current Khan, is the grandson of Jacob, and is overseeing the expansion of both trade and technology within the nation.
