He's not particularly famous...though he was Judge Dredd in the latest reboot. As far as I've seen, he could make a decent Bruce Wayne and a great Batman. Not as awesome as Keaton, but still.

Ben Affleck? Love the guy...but I don't think he's versatile enough to pull a half-decent Bruce or Batman. He'd just be "Ben Affleck playing playboy and vigilante". :meh:

Indeed, it's not that complex of a character to play, in principle...but it requires a certain look and presence on stage. Keaton had it. Bale almost had it...and then ruined it when he tried to increase it. Affleck simply doesn't have it.

I know Snyder often makes shitty casting decisions (heck, his Ultimate Cut of "Watchmen" made it quite clear), but this one is one of those that can be game-breaking. How Nolan could have blessed this choice is beyond me.

Why should he give a fuck?

He gets money no matter what.

But if you think playing Batman is hard, you are mistakem. You just need to sound like you smoke 20 packs of cigarette a day and punch people - it isn't terribly difficult.
