Here's the thing - British English only pretends to be the real English. The fancy-pants assholes, their English is just as "impure" as ours.

They just went around and kicked a bunch of brown people's asses until they nodded along with their Johnsonian tyranny.

So, you see, Oliver does not speak American English because he lives in America. He speaks American English because freedom.
