5 FS - Kapu Kuialua, other Polynesian styles (think of Eskrima as the closest example). Fen opts to slick herself with a layer of frost rather than oil. There are precious few things to do on a tiny island nation. Learning to fight is all of them.
Note: Fen is physically fit but that fitness is adaptation to her environment. She's geared for swimming, running on sand, climbing rocks or trees, holding her breath for several minutes, and spending long durations without food or water. These are normal characteristics for her people. She's not able to "power lift" and running a marathon is pointless on a small island slowly being eaten by the ocean.

Level 8 Cyrokinesis/cold/snow manipulation - she is able to manipulate cold in form of various attacks, freezing areas of differing sizes/shapes and/or objects. She's also able to freeze something down to a molecular level (another, stronger character might be able to throw a punch and shatter it. Fen, herself, isn't usually strong enough to.) Her trademark is snow. Fen loves the cold stuff. Fen loves to coat yards with it, and roofs, and occasionally towns. Island people love snow during hot summer days. They don't love it when Fen loses control and causes blizzards that rip the sides off huts and blow pigs and chickens into the ocean. The natives burned their ice cube trays in celebration the day Fen boarded to boat to come to school. Although this power is at a very high level, it is merely an indication of what she's capable of once she learns mastery of it. Ah, love those flaws! She might intend to throw ice shards and instead finds tiny snow flecks springing off her fingertips. Sucks to be young. Arid conditions are her downfall.

Level 3 Healing - she can use her energy to heal. It's not perfect or quick. There's no guarantee she'll do what she intends to do. Again, she's just a student and has never tried to develop this talent beyond helping a heal knife wounds.

Weaknesses:

Psychological: Fen's weaknesses tie in to her environment. Large cities are confusing and spending time in them (without a guide or support) causes her to withdraw into her own shell. Technology can be overwhelming to a person from an island where televisions are a luxury item. She's wary of it but also too curious for her own good.
Physical: Heat (which would seen a natural counter to her cryokinesis) isn't actually a problem for a tropical island girl but arid conditions are stifling and extremely uncomfortable. Fen hate shoes. She is at a disadvantage if wearing them during fights against opponents who would normally give her a run for her money. She compensates by slipping off her flip flops and using them to beat the hell out of someone.

Personality: Honest, straight-forward, overly curious, good sense of humor. Personality flaws: afraid of rejection, eager to please, fearful of being an outcast again.

History: How much history can a girl from a tiny island have? Fen was born and raised by her father and paternal grandparents in Kiribati. Her mother passed away during childbirth.

Life was fairly easy on the island. Cut off from phone service, computers, and general avenues for information, Fen spent her time as other children did: learning in school (they actually have an outstanding educational system), fishing, helping elders keep things tidy, and staying out of trouble.

Her peers didn't find her abilities to be so weird. The adults assumed she was gifted by the gods, or perhaps the tragic victim of radiation exposure thanks to American submarines. Everything was fine until Fen hit puberty and her hormones began changing her body chemistry. That's when Fen ceased to be a novelty and became A Problem. Fens friends avoided her and she was ostracized. She began to feel as if she could never escape the scorn levied her way... that is, until she heard about the school. Her people were more than happy to pitch in for airfare to Someplace Far Away just so they'd never have to see A Problem again.
