Keep it realistic. I don't want to see unrealistic troops. And remember the gap. 160,000 units in Army and Navy combined is the limit. The rest are reservees.
Reservees are of lower quality than professional troops, and it takes time to upgrade them to professional troops once you have space to have more active personnel

Well I am limited by Scandinavia cold climate which gives me a rather small population.

Yeah I also read it and found it well done except that they unnecessarily for more darkness murdered the wife or jeyne as her name is in the books. They got a bit to bloody there.
