Sarge turns off his radio and mutes it. He didn't hear Bohuslav's comment.

"Sorry, I just don't tolerate insubordination. Let 'em order you around once and they'll keep doing it."

"Try not to yell as loud. You can order them around but if someone does something exceedingly stupid like shooting at people's feet come get me. I'll knock em on the head."

"Fair deal."

Sarge sits down and looks out at the sky. Why did the sky have to be blue? He decided to polish his shotgun, that'd keep his mind off blue.

[The Armed Republic of Dutch Coolness]

'Alpha Base, huh? On the pole? Guess you're going to need to help a lot of men having a cold.'
Steven and Victoria sat in one of the Pelicans that was now en-route to Alpha Base to aid the Spirit of Fire's crew.

Bohuslav leaned forward, offering both of the new arrivals handshakes. His helmet was off, a small cigar butt in his mouth as the rest of it slowly burned up, puffing smoke about the Pelican. He smiled slightly as he spoke, in a slight Slavic accent. "From what I hear, Alpha base is all the way up there in the North. It's the type of place you'd freeze your nuts off at, and wouldn't be able to convince the doctors there to give you a prosthetic." He leaned backwards, laughing, and elbowing the guy next to him.

Alexander patted the back of the engineer that had helped him repair his Vulture. Sending him off back to the Pelican he arrived in, Alexander climbed into the cockpit of the Vulture, sitting inside waiting for the Pelicans around him to take off. Removing his helmet whilst he waited he opened a small compartment and brought out a bottle of Jack Daniels, pouring himself a small glass he chugged it down and closed the bottle, returning it to its compartment

Agapow was sitting in his scorpion that was in the pelican. Waiting for the next mission to start. While he was reading he was making sure his SMG was really working for the next mission. He then when he was sure the gun was working started to read a book that he had bought in Moscow before he left for the army. It was a master piece most people said but agapow just wanted a good read.

Alex whom is sitting next to Bohuslav just looks at him, completely unamused by his joke. "Leave the jokes here. I don't want you distracting the rest of bravo with these stupid jokes during the mission." Alex says with no emotion whatsoever which is the norm for Spartans.

At once Deimos woke up he was having a dreadful nightmare where he was being tortured by the covenant
to be particular a sangheili those things creep him out he just felt a shiver run down his spine.
That's why his dreams scare him because he dosent know whether they are dreams or visions.
At least he hoped they were dreams

Deimos walked over and sat next to Alex and Bohuslav he looked clueless
He was also feeling a bit anxious deep down but never reflected that to the
rest of the world. He was proud to represent the human race and he wouldn't
let anyone take that away from him no matter how many times he screwed up

"We are going to find out the covenant have found under the ice, and if you guys don't run around like chickens with your heads cut off it'll go well."

The fleet of Pelicans flew north, passing over the desolate wastes. This once verdant agricultural world provided food to half a dozen UNSC worlds. With the shape it was now in, it probably wouldn't be a viable target for repopulation. The world was burned, turned to glass by the furious fires of the Covenant. The once productive world was nearly completely glassed by the Alien ships. Only the Arctic North Pole had been saved from the Covenant's wrath.

The Pelicans touched down, landing in the heavily defended staging area at Alpha Base. The ODST were ushered out of their birds, ready for their briefing. Ares began his speech, his dull voice drilling into the ears of Ghost. "Sergeant Forge has been in the field, gathering intelligence for the upcoming assault. He has uncovered something big. The Covenant are digging for something. They've uncovered some sort of underground complex. It appears that the high ranking Elite has entered the structure. Our mission is to destroy Covenant positions around the structure to clear the way for UNSC access." He tried to continue his briefing. "Additionally, we have reports of...." A blast at the perimeter cut his briefing short. A siren sounded and marines rushed past. One of them stopped, approaching Ghost. "You're Ghost Company? Defend the perimeter, we're under attack."

"On it." Alex said while grabbing his sniper from the net above him, and placing his rocket launcher on his back. Alex jumps out of the pelican before jogging towards a vantage point where he can snipe the covenant before they reach the wall, and spot approaching hostiles for the marines.

Simon woke up,clearing the muck from his eyes.He sat up,only to receive a massive bout of pain courtesy of a large migraine. Moving over until his feet were off the bed,he stood up,not noticing his metal leg.

Alpha Base
Following the fleet of Pelicans flew Alexander and his Vulture. He too had looked out his cockpit and watched saw the destruction that had befallen Harvest. This changed when they reached the North pole, atleast something had survived the onslaught that the planet faced. Touching down along with the Pelicans, Alexander jumped out and heard Ares briefing.
"Should I get to my bird?" he asked "Or fight here on the ground with your guys?"

'Got it. Why are we always immediately under attack when we are being dropped?'
'Wasn't that in the job description?'

Steven and Victoria followed the rest.
'Let's make sure they don't turn the pole into damned glass too. Vic, any idea why they didn't glass this yet?'
'No idea. Don't think anyone knows. May be to do with that structure.'
'Let's make sure they won't be getting what they want, then.'

[Red Team]

Sarge hopped into the nearest Warthog's passenger seat. He saw two marines nearby, both privates. "You two! Get over here!"

They ran to the Warthog and then stood at attention. "I want you to drive," he said pointing at the one on the right. The marine got into the seat and started the engine.

Sarge pointed at the other marine, "And you, Private, are gonna shoot some alien scum with the turret!" He readied himself with the gun.

"Let's go kill some Covies!"

The Covenant forces were approaching Alpha Base. Hundreds of Grunts were swarming the defences. "Defend the base. This is it gentlemen. Get ready for the fight!" The forward marine positions were being overrun by the Grunts. At the back of the horde were the commanders. Five Elites were covered by different hued armours.

The forward marine positions were being overrun by the Grunts. At the back of the horde were the commanders. Five Elites were covered by different hued armours.

Simon groaned,before yelling " Shut up Ares.I have a helluva Migraine right now. " before walking out of the room and down the hall way.

The Covenant forces were approaching Alpha Base. Hundreds of Grunts were swarming the defences. "Defend the base. This is it gentlemen. Get ready for the fight!" The forward marine positions were being overrun by the Grunts. At the back of the horde were the commanders. Five Elites were covered by different hued armours.

Alex zooms in on the elites inspecting their armor to see whom was the highest ranking. "Bravo team. Take out the elite commanders in the back of the covie forces."

Alpha Base

The Covenant forces were approaching Alpha Base. Hundreds of Grunts were swarming the defences. "Defend the base. This is it gentlemen. Get ready for the fight!" The forward marine positions were being overrun by the Grunts. At the back of the horde were the commanders. Five Elites were covered by different hued armours.

Agapow drove the tank out of the pelican and started to fire on the covies with his HMG and main cannon hopefully cutting down many of the grunts. He was at the frontlines as he could not see any wraiths or banshees making him impervious to the covies fire.

[Red Team]

The Warthog runs straight towards the front, the gunner is firing at the Grunts.

"Closer, get us closer!" Sarge shouted, hoping to get into shotgun range. The driver sped up a little, doing his best to not hit anyone.

Alexander, not having much ground combat experience remained in cover. He brought out his M6G Magnum from out of its holster and began firing, trying to hit the heads, of the swarms of Grunts fighting their way through the Marines positions.

" alexander why are you not in your vulture? This is not a place for a pilot." Agapow said on intercom as he continued to fire the HMG and main gun towards the hordes of grunts. The scorpion even accidently drove over few grunts.

The scorpion started to drive in a way so that all fire that was directed to alexander hit the scorpion instead which didn't made any real damage as the armor was though enough to withstand plasma and the needles. " Is that better alexander?"

The scorpion started to drive in a way so that all fire that was directed to alexander hit the scorpion instead which didn't made any real damage as the armor was though enough to withstand plasma and the needles. " Is that better alexander?"

Alexander laughed, ran out of cover and towards his Vulture "Much better, thank you lad" he replied. He climbed aboard the Vulture and sat in its cockpit preparing everything as it started up.
