Hello there, and welcome to Halo: The Fall, an RP set in the universe that Bungie has given us. The RP will follow our company of soldiers through the great battles of the series. Will we succeed and bring salvation to humanity? Or will we fail and be wiped from history? This RP will (hopefully) have several chapters, taking us across the course of the war and into the greatest battles portrayed in the games, books, and other media. Here is the OOC thread. Please keep all OOC content there to avoid spamming this.

For reasons that should be obvious, I will only accept a few players as Spartans. Everybody else, you are ODSTs. You are allowed a maximum of two characters if you are an ODST. If you are a Spartan then you're SOL.

Previous RP experience (I will actually review this. If I see that you have been stirring up shit in other RPs then I will deny you):

This system is how you determine your role and equipment use for your character. You are allowed to choose two training focuses, or focus all your efforts on one field and be a master of that. Your weapons are determined by your training focus, it wouldn't make sense for a CQC specialist to be able to pick up and use sniper rifles like an expert. Spartans are allowed to be masters in two areas.

These are the Training Focuses availiable:

Anti-Armour Focus- You have been trained in the fine art of blowing enemy vehicles into itty-bitty pieces. You have access to the Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, Rail Gun, and (If you choose only Anti-Armour) Spartan Laser

Direct Combat - The grunts. You have been trained how to use the various rifles of the UNSC army. Available weapons are the Assault Rifle (you choose the generation), the Battle Rifle, and Saw (If you choose only DC).

Close Quarters Combat (CQC) - You are one of the crazy bastards that actually likes getting close to Covies. Some of the toughest bastards to fight hand-to-hand, you are a natural badass. Available weapons are the SMGs (yes, you can dual wield), Assault Rifle (you choose the generation), the room clearing shotguns (If you choose only CQC).

Driving Skills - You have dedicated your efforts into driving the badass vehicle the UNSC provides you. The bigger vehicle, the better. Available Vehicles are the Warthog (All variants), Cobra (from Halo Wars), Wolverine (Halo Wars again) and Scorpion Tank (If you choose only driver) With the cramped space inside most vehicles, you can't use many weapons (Limited to pistols and SMGs).

Repair Artist - You have dedicated yourself to keeping all the equipment in top order. They are easily the best at repairing equipment and vehicles in the field. You have access to the Assault Rifles (choose your generation), SMG (dual wield), and Grenade Launcher (If you choose only repair).

Medic - Smart man (or woman) you are. You keep everybody else in ship-shape. You can heal your buddies if they get shot. Only problem is, if your buddy dies, you`ve got to retrieve his body. You only have access to the Assault Rifles (choose your damn genereation), but you have the ability to heal your friends.

Piloting Training - You`ve got some balls. You like to fly around in aircraft that are powered by explosions. At least the drivers are on the ground. Available aircraft are The Falcon, Hornet, Pelican, and (special for you only pliots) the big old Vulture. You`ve got access to the pistols and SMGs.

Reconnaissance - You are sneaky. You are quiet. You get info. You`ve got some very experimental cloaking tech. The recon focus gives you access to the Battle Rifle, DMR and SMG. If you go full recon, you get access to the silencer available for the DMR and SMG. AS well the only recon guys get access to the big, loud Sniper Rifle.

Sabotoge - These guys have the best job. Their only goal is to blow up, set on fire, electrocute, and generally dismember the Covenant ground forces. You have access to the Grenade Launcher, Rocket launcher, and Sticky Detonator. For you people that enjoy explosions (choose only sabatoge), you get access to several det packs, as well as a total of five mines.

Sniper - The guys that shoot out your eyes before you see them. These guys are cold and scary as hell. You have access to the DMR, Sniper Rifle and Sniper Exclusive Anti-Material rifle.

Leadership (I will only accept a few of these) - The hard-ass soldiers that keep others in line. These guys know how to inspire and lead their men to victory. Without exception, they are equipped with their choice of the Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, DMR, and Target Designator. They possess the ability to call in support and reinforcements.

As the OP, I will be RPing as the Covenant forces and UNSC commander.

A few rules never hurt anybody... Unless they are broken.
1. No Godmodding, unless I have given you my consent in the OOC.
2. I am the OP. My word is the law. Same goes for the Co-OP, whenever I appoint one.
3. Attempt to be original with your characters (please).
4. Keep the one-liners out. I understand it's unavoidable sometimes, but please try.
5. If there is an argument that cannot be resolved between you, then I will make my ruling.
6. Follow the app process I have lain out.
7. Have fun!
8. I dont mind suggestions. If you think that things need to be added, you only need to point it out.
9. As of right now, I am no longer accepting Spartan applications. You can create two ODST characters.
10. Please apply as one of our needed classes. We need anti-armour, repair, medic and a few direct combat. No more CQC or Recon.

Ghost Company: All ranks are subject to change. Mainly to fit with a regular army unit. Unrolled positions will be filled by unnamed NPC Characters. This is so new characters can jump in.

Captain John Dirienzo stood in front of his Holographic display. Before him stood the elite soldiers of Ghost Company. The three Spartans, his rugged ODST troopers, even a few of the grunts that served in Ghost. He stepped forward, speaking while a hologram of the city popped up and displayed Utgard. "Gentlemen, today we take back Harvest. Captain Cutter is going to take the Spirit of Fire north to retake Alpha Base. We have been assigned a harder target. The city of Utgard is still under Covenant occupation. Our mission is to retake the city and push the Covenant forces off our planet." The hologram spun, zooming in on the city center. The captain pointed at the hologram, starting a simulation of the drop. "We are going to drop here. You will go down in SOEIVs, landing around this building. You are to secure a landing zone and hold until reinforcements arrive. This operation is expected to be a heavy engagement. Bring extra ammunition, as much extra as you can. Several Pelicans will follow you down after enemy air and anti-air are disabled. Ares can answer any questions you have. Dismissed." The captain strode out of the briefing room. The ship AI popped into life, replacing the hologram of the city.

Alex placed his hands on the side of the holo table carefully looking over the city with his helmet on like always. "Do we have any intel on the enemies positions?" Alex says to the AI while looking over several promising buildings to build a sniper hide.

[Prusseuss]

" Ares,do we have any information on the amount of enemy troops ? " said Simon,sitting in a far corner,partially obscured by shadow.

[Red Team]

Sarge looked with disgust at the bluish colour of the holo-table. He looked for a way to get his mind off of blue. He looked happily at his red armour. Now that's a colour!

Sarge checks his shotgun to make sure it's clean. A clean shotgun is a happy shotgun, he thought. This was one of his maxims.

He looked back at his armour, remembering being selected for the Spartan-I program and having all those tests and studies being done on him. The memories made him cringe. Get yourself together, he said to himself. He had been in the military a long time, he was not supposed to have those emotions.

The hologram of the city spun back into existence. Area brought up seven large red blinking dots on the map. The closest dot to the drop point was ten blocks away. "There are covenant forces entrenched in these buildings. At my last count, twenty-two Ghosts, seven Wraiths, and thirteen Banshees are stationed in the city. At my best estimates, there are close to one hundred Elites, two hundred Jackals, and four hundred Grunts. I have not been able to confirm it, but there have been reports of Hunter pairs besieging UNSC positions. These numbers don't take into account Covenant forces that may be positioned in buildings."

[Prusseuss]

Simon nodded,taking in the information.He then said " Should make for a great hunt. "

"The more the merrier." Connor said, stepping out of the shadows, holding his helmet and clad in the rest of his armor. "Ares, can you point out excellent sniper positions, and upload them to my UGPS?"

"Ares I need the locations of the covenant strongpoints, and AA guns uploaded to my Heads Up Display." Alex says looking over the covenant positions, and the buildings in the city.

[Latiko]

Nick says "so when do we kill some cubbies?"

[Red Team]

Upon hearing Nick speak, Sarge went into military protocol mode.

"Corporal! What did I tell you about speaking without a superior officer's permision! I oughta court marshal you for such insubordination! Now get back in line and pay attention!"

Nick alarmed yells "Ahh what the -. He stops before cursing and replies "Sorry sarge, just eager to kill some Covenant." He salutes and sits back down. Being the hot head he is, he thinks "Man what the heck hot was that for! I didn't do anything. Maybe if I do better than all these Spartans in the mission I'll be promoted or something.

Area looked at the two Spartans, both of them specialized in taking out their enemies from afar. "There are positions here an here." Dots lit up, on the top of building surrounding the destroyed space elevator. "Ideally, I would position the two of you in opposite firing positions. If you are positioned here and here..." Two more dots lit up, in buildings opposite each other. Both had a view covering the roads into the ODST drop point. "Then you would provide optimal firing positions to cover the drop zone." Area disappeared again, popping up in front of Alex. "All known Covenant strongpoints and Anti-Air have been provided." Alex's HUD would now display a series of dots, detailing Covenant defences in the city.

" Are their any leaders ? If their are,upload their pictures and names on my hud. " said Simon,twirling one of his Kukri's.

Dots lit up, on the top of building surrounding the destroyed space elevator. "Ideally, I would position the two of you in opposite firing positions. If you are positioned here and here..." Two more dots lit up, in buildings opposite each other. Both had a view covering the roads into the ODST drop point. "Then you would provide optimal firing positions to cover the drop zone." Area disappeared again, popping up in front of Alex. "All known Covenant strongpoints and Anti-Air have been provided." Alex's HUD would now display a series of dots, detailing Covenant defences in the city.

"Thank you ares. That's all I need. I'll see you all in the drop pod bay." Alex says while picking up his sniper off the ground, and walking to the drop pods.

I do not have any information of Covenant leaders in the city. There appears to be a very high ranking Elite in the area of Alpha Base, but our mission is Utgard." Ares appeared larger, towering over the room. "Any further questions? If not, report to the pod bay for drop. We launch in half an hour."

" Alright.I will see you next time Ares. " with that,Simon got up,and walked away to the drop pods.

Connor began to tap the screen of his UGPS before saying "Coordinates received. I'll see you all on Harvest."
He proceeded to exit the room and went to the armory. He slung his DMR over his back, put his M6G into its holster and picked up his SRS99 and shoved a clip into it. He looked around before putting on his helmet and leaving the room, heading for the pod bay.

Quietly Nick responds"copy that." and walks off to the pod bay.

Corporal Lanik stood, his helmet off. He was quite pale, and he preferred himself that way. He stepped out of the shadows, his Recon helm at his side. It was clear from his patches what his role in the operation was: Reconnaissance. He looked over the map, and wiped his face, speaking gruffly, "Corporal Lanik, second fireteam, reconnaissance. One question, sir." He stopped briefly, taking his cigar out of his mouth, now speaking freely,

"Does the Recon section have any mission-specific orders for this bust and boom operation, or are we cannon fodder like the rest of the grunts?" He smiled, placing his cigar back in his mouth, standing straight and tall.

Sarge walks by Nick and hears him talking. He is about to tell him to be quiet, but then he sees Major Alex speaking with him. Sarge stands at attention and salutes the Major.
