"Take no unneeded risks. I have several candles with me and some matches. We will work by candle light to fortify the house throughout the night. If there are any of those things, or human bandits, I want to be sure that our compound is defended against them." Wilhelm said, pulling out several candles from his boxes.

"Perfect!" Dan gave another wild grin, got himself back into the house and waited for Whilhelm to finish the candle lighting.

"So whats the plan with the fortification?" Dan asked. "Just boarding doors and windows up?"

"Yes. Board all the windows on this story, but not on the upper ones. They can be used to shoot from above. And the doors to." Wilhelm said, striking a match and lighting several candles. "We should be able to finish relatively quickly, so lets get to work now." He said, fetching a hammer, some spare nails around the house, and the wooden planks he had gathered.

Since they John and Shaq where already close, they had managed to get there in less than an hour. Once they got there, they stopped at the gate, slightly open, but pretty much closed, then John turned to Shaq. "Shit! Looks like somebody was here before us...... Oh well, it should be nothing we can handle right?" Asked John as he checked his revolver's ammunition. "There's only six shots and I don't have any extra ammo for it..... I have to save this for the living, make every shot count." Thought John as waited for Shaq's response.

Shaq nodded and armed his AR-15.

"Remember kid, no killing humans."

Dan grabbed a few boards and nails with a hammer and began barracading the kitchen windows as efficently as he could. Around when he reached the living room windows, he noticed how dark it was getting outside. The stars gleamed brightly, a luxary Dan never had living in a city.

"Wow Whilhelm, look at all that." Dan grinned, enjoying the view.

"Wow Whilhelm, look at all that." Dan grinned, enjoying the view.

"Indeed. I have seen many starry nights in Germany, the Fatherland." Wilhelm said, working on the windows. "Tomorrow morning, I am going to go into town and rally the people to my cause, to gather minions for the Reich. Hopefully we can gather a few good men willing to pool their weapons with us. We can start gradually gaining territory for our cause, rallying the populations to our righteous movement." Wilhelm said.

Since they John and Shaq where already close, they had managed to get there in less than an hour. Once they got there, they stopped at the gate, slightly open, but pretty much closed, then John turned to Shaq. "Shit! Looks like somebody was here before us...... Then John got out of the truck and put the gun back in his back waistband, next taking his shovel from the back. "Hey Mr. Shaq? Can you cover me while I open the gate?" Asked John as he walked over to the gate.

"How about Shaqtus, or Shaq-Fu, or The Big Shaqrok, or- yeah ok I'll cover you."

That's the reason why I'm here, it's because Texas is in chaos and being overrun." Explained John, now sitting in the pilot's sit, his revolver exhanged for a Sig Sauer P226 in a holster.
