Finorskia wrote:Hey Mizuyuki I have a question for you. Is your team driving an M4 Sherman or an M4A1 Sherman. Yes there is a difference. The M4 used a welded hull while the M4A1 used a cast hull. Furthermore is your Sherman equipped with modifications from the "blitz" improvement program. The "blitz" program added applique armor on the sides of the tank to cover the ammunition storage in those areas (as this was the real cause of the Sherman's tendency to catch fire. The side and turret ammo storage would get hit and catch fire). The program also removed the ready to use ammo in the turret ring an placed it in the floor under the turret. This is important because a hit to any of those areas without modifications would most likely count as a knockout (probably would with the armor but it would reduce the chances slightly).

Yup, it's a M4 Sherman, without blitz mods. The original tank, so to speak. I was hoping that we could acquire improvements as the plot wore on, in order to make it more durable and powerful.
