Every fortress build by Sauron is made out of iron... if it was stone then it would be like the most crappy quality...

If that's true, I'll be changing that. It's a hilarious waste of resources better spent on weapons, and masons are a lot easier to find than smiths

As far as i know they only used metal in building stuff...

Not completely, most Mordor fortresses are in fact carved from mountains of black or just dark stone, with metal girders and ribs added on for support - Barad-dur is a perfect example, as is Dol Guldur.

Perhaps, I more so just bent 'light-lovers' to the 'grey' by giving them good reasons to do so, to disillusion them from blindly following something which has only hurt them time and time again.
