There also is a guy in China: Shengxiao - Buluo. He's basically alone, and will be able to slowly expand, until he meets somebody. While Japan is small, and they need boats, and that will hinder it a bit. Siberia is cold, and again, won't expand that fast.

Well, I started with 70,000, and the OP has already over doubled his pop despite having wars, so I figured 120,000 wasn't as bad an increase in terms of ratio.

Bosphorous Sea? Do you mean the Black Sea? Or just the area surrounding the Bosphorous Strait? If I understand correctly, my civ and theirs will be separated by the Marmara Sea, I believe that will work just fine, if that is the case.
