I apologise for my recent inactivity.

But this is going to be the first of many bouts of inactivity i'm going to have for a while, so i'ma inform you in advance. I'm going to go all out and drop out for the time being, and if Horus will let me, i'd like to map an app for a whole new nation whenever I return.

Oh, and Parhe, consider the war off. You win. For all intents and purposes, we'll say you held your border against the hordes, my Khan died, and his Kingdom fragmented.
“The ancient Oracle said that I was the wisest of all the Greeks. It is because I alone, of all the Greeks, know that I know nothing.” - Socrates
Khanastan is an entirely fictional PMT nation somewhat similar to a larger, more free version of China. We are a massive federal representative republic of half a billion people with a self-sufficient, world-dominating economy. NS stats are not used. Use our Factbook instead.
Call me Khan. I've been here a while. I'm from Glasgow, Scotland. I think people should treat people like they want to be treated themselves. If you want to know more you're going have to buy me a drink or get to know me better, otherwise i'll stop being such a mystery.
Merry crisis one and all.

Why you leaving me :( though honestly I am relieved the war is over. May I invade Manchuria :3 it will be against a npc that is pretty strong. Maybe I can become a tribute of Altito instead :)
Hey, it is Parhe :D I am always open to telegrams.
I know it is a Work-In-Progress, but I would love it if y'all looked at my new factbook and gave me some feedback!

Oh well.
Just so everyone knows, I only intend to expand along the shores of the North (Ardovician) Sea, so basically, the east coast of the British isles, west coast of Scandinavia, Calais to Hamburg, and the northern islands.
Everyone watch out!
Reatra wrote:The reason I know the Britodh isles are islands is because Rylonians are smart. They get that most if the world is water. So when they discover a peninsula their first guess is "must be an island!"

Also, the British Isles aren't important to me now. I'm going to focus on non militarily exerting my dominance over the Mediterranean with my navy, culture, and religion. Not my army because that was Rome's undoing. Then, probably by the 1700's, I'll politely ask everyone to be my vassal. Since m religion and culture will be dominant, I expect to have a lot of people agree. If I do get into a war, I'll use my technology to easily win. Right now and for about the next couple weeks that means steel and crossbows. Then it'll mean gunpowder, then railroads, then high explosives, then missiles, then satellites, then lasers, etc. So, anyone want to trade?

Why would your culture be dominant? Religion, sure, but I think I have put more into developing a unique and distinctive and strong culture than anyone else.

Also, I don't see how you'll get better tech than EVERYONE else.

The players in Egypt and Israel are both inactive, unless you are the Egyptian player. Also, I'm not sure if you're still on the map, since you forgot about this. I could check again, but if you're not on any recent maps (At least since the start of the Ancient Times), then you might have to re-apply.

Reatra, WTF? 98% literacy? I'm not even sure the modern USA has that! And no printing press; tech can only be invented at most a couple hundred years before RL.

Wut....

How? How is that possible? Very few, if any, modern nations have a literacy rate like that! And to pull that off in 650 A.D is just... wow...

Ok.
Though I'm sure you realize that the printing press is not going to be nearly as effective as the one in the 1400s.

Fine, back to 81% literacy. Plus, I mean, is it hard to say "hey! I've written this popular book so many times wouldn't it be worth the effort to chip these letters on a block of wood and just press that on the paper a bunch if times?" This isn't the movable type press, I even said that that's OP. I'm still used to thinking in city states. Sorry, if it was still a city state this advanced though, near 100% literacy is possible. The US has more than 98% and a few European nations have 100%, or 99.999% so no one really cares if they say 100%

Korvaxans can perfectly speak Korvaxan to each other, and read it.
However, we don't need a printing press, we have people to write for famous book writers.
Although, we have very few famous ones yet. :s

Hence the fact we mainly speak and don't have many books.
Maybe a few maps, but that's it. :3

Unless you are a nation focused on literacy almost entirely, I think that's still too much.
E.g. During Emperor Augustus (the Roman Caesar)'s reign, literacy was around 10-20%.
