Zach nodded and thought for a moment. For his plan to work, he needed to make sure he sounded convincing.
"Well, I don't really know the names exactly. I can't remember the Current leader's name. As for location, they're in the HGV Command Base. I bet your intelligence knows where that is, doesn't it?", he asked. His voice was very convincing and serious in tone.

"Please don't presume us to be idiots, we captured a private who could at least tell us the current Leander's name, you're inly here for confirmation of his claims." the man said, shaking his head slightly.

Zach thought a moment, rubbing his chin. He knew he was stuck, so he had to give the leader's name.
"What did the Private tell you? I'll confirm if it's total baloney or not.", he said.

Lancearc wrote:"Oh, I've heard about that." Cymitia added, shaking her head. "It confuses me why they wasted so much time and so many resources just building somewhere to bury someone, if I recall, that is...why is that, George?" she asked, glancing over to him. "It just seems silly." she added, before Hunter spoke about a 'Grand Canyon.' "Where is that supposed to be at?" she inquired, though before he could answer she tugged at his hand lightly. "Over there." she indicated, pointing out a small manhole opening inside an alleyway. "It doesn't smell very good but it's a good hiding place, I suppose." she explained to Thelin, now leading the way towards the small sewer entrance.

"Somewhere in the United States, pretty pence to get a plane over there, but one day we will," Hunter said lightly yet equally convinced they'd make the journey in their lifetime. They were closing in on the hole to the sewers and Hunter made a face. "After getting a shower and set of clean clothes, I'm really not liking going int the sewers. You'd think they'd find a new base of operations."

"Oh don't be such a baby," Thelin teased. "Once we're at Prince you can have a shower."

He shook his head, "I want a bath. With a rubber ducky and a certain someone to share it with." He wiggled his eyebrows at Cym on purpose.

"I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need a shower after this."

Do I really have to go into the sewer? I guess. But I ain't gonna complain.

Once they were standing by the entrance, he looked around.

"So, who's first?"

Cymitia rolled her eyes visibly at this. "You'll be lucky if I even consider staying around after you buy a rubber duck, let alone getting me in a bathtub with one in it." she said, elbowing him lightly. "Come on, let's hurry this up, I can already smell it." she said as she knelt to open the manhole covering with a visible look of disgust at the stench of the not-exactly-well-maintained sewers of London. She decided not to delay any longer, wasting no time in leading the way down into the sprawling sewer system.

"It will be cute rubber ducky though," Hunter whined, though purposely as the foul stench of the sewers threatened to gag him on reflex alone. Why the rebels couldn't get a stronghold that wasn't underground, he would never know, and it made this journey all the more important to be over with. "I won't name the duck, how's that? I promise."

"Shh," Thelin hissed a little as she followed him next. "Do you always talk this much?"

"Would you rather I talk about the foul smell we're descending upon?"

She fell silent.

"Thought so," Hunter griped. Once his foot was on the ground of the sewer tunnel turned to see into the dark. "Well... let's go meet the folks."

Mike followed the group closely, taking his steps into the sewer tunnel with extreme care.

"How long's the walk from here?" he asked, brushing some dirt off of his shirt.

He stared at the wall, looking at the burns that scorched the walls.

I don't wanna know what happened here.

"I won't go anywhere near a bathtub with a duck in it, I'd prefer it just be us if I may get a word in." Cymitia said with a small smirk, glancing back at Michael. "It's not far, if I recall. This could, of course, be a different entrance that I'm not familiar with..." she figured, gazing forward again. It was dark, but she had no problem with it of course. The walls were coated with every manner of filth imaginable, so she was grateful that her sight was enough to let her find her way, unlike many of the Humans she'd seen making their way through the unlit passageways.

In front of them several figures could be seen, cramped in the narrow passage, each pointing their guns forward and threatening to mow them down. "What business do ya have here ladies 'n gents?" a gruff voice demanded.

"It's Cymitia, and Hunter. We have visitors, and a favor to ask." she said without hesitation.

"A favor? We don't do favors. Now give me a good reason ta not shoot ya lot right here." the man said, stepping forward and revealing a brute of a figure that looked more like a Gallic or Celtic barbarian than a citizen of London.

"We don't have time for this bullshit," Hunter shot back. "A whole army of neo-nazi motherfuckers are out there taking pot shots at the average Joe and you're concerned with us walking in the sewers? Get real," he said taking a step forward. "I don't know about you, but last I check the fun is up there, certainly not here in piss and shit. Now, where's your cell leader?"

It was a fairly damp day in the city of London, not that it mattered- every day in that blasted city was either damp or foggy, with the rare appearance of sunshine. But those facts are irrelevant to this story- in fact this character is irrelevant to this story, he is no politician, or military general, or the dictator of Cuba. No, he's just some random, low-life scum living in some random city with shitty weather and shitty food. So the question is; why follow some random low-life scum who is irrelevant to the story? Because irrelevance leads to relevance in some cases. And in this case, I don't know what the fuck will happen.

Now, to understand this story, you must know who and what Derek is. Derek is a fuck-up who dropped out of college and pursued the life of a gang-banger and drug addict, what a surprise considering he was raised in a suburban neighborhood with wispy-washy parents. Well, have you ever heard the saying that children defy their parents? I suppose not because most children don't have parents. Why? Because of the other characters- the much more insane, characters of this story. Now let's take this into account, if some random, child sees a bunch of crazy people killing a bunch of other crazy people with no clear reason, that random child will probably want to be something like those crazy people so that child may have a higher chance if surviving in this cruel world.

But how can you be crazy if you aren't insane? That is what Derek wondered when he, himself dropped out of college and became a low-life gang banger. This is what he encountered when he tried killing someone, he would never do it, it was too much for him to go and kill other random people that he didn't even know, yet even speak to. And this my friends, is why we must see the perspective of this irrelevant, random, low-life, gang banger.

Derek Vinyard

Derek hummed a rhythmless as a bunch of insane neo-nazi pricks shot a bunch of random people. In truth he wasn't surprised there was fighting in the city of London, it seemed the insane people ran the city rather than the actual government, who were supposed to protect the people from men like these neo-nazis who most likely enjoyed killing all of these innocent people. He didn't care about the insane people anymore, he knew he would never be one of them so he decided he would never pay them any heed, he didn't need to, to be quite frank. They had their own game called "Rape, Kill, and Pillage Everything you See." In all honesty it was a game Derek was quite familiar with. All he needed to do was hide in an alley and inject a needle into a blood vein and hope for the best. Other times he could just walk through the storm of bullets smoking a cigarette telling himself that he would get to safety in one piece.

Though life in London wasn't that bad when the insanity passed by you for a little while. Strip clubs opened, prostitutes walked the streets, and parties were started. All of which Derek liked entering. He had friends and enemies to talk and fight with, girls to kiss, and alcohol to consume. The only really bad thing about London was the crazy people... And the weather. Most certainly the weather. At times he couldn't tell which he thought was worse, sometimes it was the weather, and sometimes it was the crazies. Though the Crazies weren't that bad when their bloodlust went down, they would drink and gamble with you most times. But would kill you if you won. So they were still dangerous even when they were "calm." However, the weather was always a bitch, she had her moods and most times they were really bitchy moods. If Derek could, he would've slapped that bitch until she died, but she slapped him more than he slapped her, and her slaps hurt. Talk to the bolt of lightning that "slapped" him once, it does have a mighty fine story to tell.

As he walked the slippery sewers of London (to get away from the carnage.) he noticed a group of crazies talking with each other silently.. “Oi!” He shouted calmly. “You mind tellin' ya friends up there to... Ya know, cut down on the noise? It really is preventing me from sleeping.”

He followed the group all the way into the alleys where the residency he stayed in was found, at which point it was getting dark out and a light drizzle covered the city. He turned the key in the slot and entered. "Arthur." William called. The man came. "I've spoken to someone who passed himself off as a rebel, or GEE spy. Since we're not dead yet, I can only assume that he wasn't lying. Ask Elena to get ready, I'll instruct Anya. I'll have to make sure the girl stays quiet while we're going about it. Oh-and don't bring too much." William then paused briefly. "Do you know how to use a gun?" He asked. "No?" replied Arthur unsurely. "Pity. Then get to preparing." He packed his own small set of belongings in a moderately sized brief case. Some clothes, other small items of personal value, and some weapons. He then found the Nevidian. "Anya." William called. She bounded over. "Yes Willi?" She asked, not bothering to address him properly. William snorted. That sounded like something Arthur would tell her to call him. 'Now how to make her listen to me...' "We're going to go outside for a walk." There was some fear in the girls eyes from that. No doubt the remnants of what had happened the day he found her. "You'll be safe, don't worry. But you need to stay quiet while we're going, can you do that?" She nodded. "Good." He placed a hand on her head. "Now go find Elena and ask her to help you pack." She walked off to do just that. In the meantime, William decided to just sit down and think things over while he waited for night to fully fall. There was some time.

Night had eventually come for William and all of London, and so had a group of armed men in dark clothing. The sported worn Soviet rifles much like many members of the HGV did, AKMs typically, a few carried AK-74s. They had hoped though that their weapons would be of little consequence in this endeavor, however. It was supposed to be a relatively simple task. They would pick up their target group, escort them safely to and through the sewers that lead to a rebel cell's headquarters, and let them live there under their protection until the HGV threat was dealt with sufficiently enough to return them to their homes to live safely. They were constantly looking over their shoulders to ensure they were not followed, up until they reached the door of the residence they'd been told to approach and ring the doorbell of. They did just that, hoping that some kind of HGV agent hadn't beaten them here and slaughtered the inhabitants.

Cymitia had wished that Hunter hadn't confronted the man so aggressively, as the brute now looked as though he were about to unleash his fury upon them. The man was stopped though, by a voice behind him. "Oi, they're friends, let 'em through." If the voice that had sounded wasn't familiar enough the cigar smoke that could be seen behind the man gave Cym and Hunter a good idea of who it was before the brute moved away and revealed Joseph standing behind him, the man with his cigar moving to pull both Hunter and Cymitia into an embrace. "You guys sure took your sweet time coming back, I'm glad you're both okay." he said happily. "You've brought guests too, I see."

Meanwhile, the brute and his friends had moved on to a man who had been behind the first group, shouting after them. "N who might you be, lil' rat? Might want ta speak quickly 'fore Joseph back there tells us he doesn't recognize ya."

William looked through the peephole installed in the door. Certainly, the men outside didn't look like HGV, but you could never tell. But if they were, not opening the door wouldn't accomplish anything. He opened the door. "You are the men from the rebels, yes?" It was a pointless question, he supposed, but he needed to ask it anyway. William glanced warily at each one and outside as well, before motioning the other three to come forward as well. "Shall we....get going?"

"Joseph, the same." the man with the cigar said with a nod, turning his attention to the man who had introduced himself as Mike and the other Nevidian woman. "For some reason I don't think that you and your lovely companion are here looking to join the fight, unless these two have managed to get it into your head to join them on their crusades." Joseph joked, nodding slightly as Cymitia decided to let Mike explain their reason for coming with them.

Mike didn't want to reach in for a handshake, the distance making it too awkward. He instead re-positioned himself to a more relaxed stance.

How close to the town are we now? Can't be more than an hour or so.

"A couple of days ago Thelin's store was ransacked. I intervened and accidentally killed an HGV officer, wounding five others. My apartment has been probably been invaded, so we have nowhere to stay. Cym and Hunter offered to provide us a place to stay outside of London."

He thought about the last bit for a second.

"And if I have to fight, I will."

Joseph sighed at this. "Outside of London? Alexander wouldn't like that. GEE wouldn't like that. Can't be upsetting them too much. They don't have anything against the citizens of London, but they can't afford to let HGV spies out, something like that they said. I can't help you." he said, shaking his head slightly. Cymitia was about to speak up before he lifted a hand to stop her. "But, I know someone who can. A smuggler, good friend. Bit of a cheeky bastard though, but still a good man. If he's still around he's the best chance you have, if you're willing to go a little further." Joseph said, directing his gaze then to the two looking to escape the walls of London.

"Exactly what do we have to do?" Thelin asked. A little assignment in return for the chance outside London. The promise of such a life outside the chaos and filth of London was too good to pass up. Thugging at her backpack a little more, "What's the risk exactly?"

Hunter had remained silent. While it was nice to see Joe again, he was making every attempt not to brood on the fact they were still caught up in the rebellion's schemes. No one could say he wasn't ungrateful for their charity and assistance since the explosion on the bridge, but his renewed vigor after being patched up was for a chance outside the fighting, not remain in it.

Still, whatever Joesph had in mind, he and Cymitia couldn't just leave Thelin and Mike to their own devices, not when they volunteered to help them out of the city. And George, there was still his sister to think about. Every minute spent wasting to debate on give and take would make an already difficult task an impossible one.

"We all go... so... what Thelin asked."

"Good to hear it." Joseph said, taking the cigar from between his teeth so as to explain the situation clearly. "It should be simple, and you won't be going far out of your way. This man, he gets valuable things out of the city for us to fund our little operations. He should appreciate a few extra hands alongside him, too. The only thing you guys will have to do is help him out, and he'll lead each of you out of the city. Easy." Joseph said, letting the information sink in. "I won't act like there isn't danger here, the only way to smuggle this stuff isn't exactly...legal. You could be dodging lead if you get found." Joseph said, finishing.

Zach thought a moment, rubbing his chin. He knew he was stuck, so he had to give the leader's name.
"What did the Private tell you? I'll confirm if it's total baloney or not.", he said.

"Right now the burden's falling on the shoulders of a lad called William Miller. Sound familiar?" the captain asked, raising an eyebrow towards the man.

Thelin had never handled a gun before, though there was a first for everything. She just nodded, "Fine. Smuggle some stuff, don't shot, and we're out of the city. Can't be that bad."

"What's the catch?" Hunter said, not as convinced. Did they have to go through HGV controlled areas? Would they have to brave the front lines were the real heavy fighting was at? Or did they have to deal with shadow figures that were equally - or more - dangerous?

"Well if you haven't guessed why we aren't just walking our shipments to fund the war through the GEE controlled gate is because they have done kind of unbreakable moral compass, I suppose. So it was either smuggle it through the HGV or through the GEE, and we'd rather not cross the empire, so you're going through red territory." Joseph said finally. "If everything goes right, you shouldn't have to worry about even being seen." he said, the most positive thing he could have thought up.

"We are paid to escort Ms. Collins, so just be quiet and let us finish our job." said Gilang to Connor.

Anna wanted to reply to Connor, but was interrupted when he and Gilang started arguing. "Well you might have to wait until you can escort me." Anna told Gilang with a slightly unhappy face, hoping he would back off for at least some time. "And, where would you want to escort me anyways? Is there somewhere I need to go that I don't know about?" She added, the question being partly rhetorical as she didn't expect an answer.

"To guard you, Ms. Collins. We, GEE, care about you. And yes, there is a place you will go. GEE has discovers a perfect lab including the equipments for your project of...undisclosed project. In addition to this, a group of scientists will be under your command and with the materials needed for this undisclosed project."

"Any questions left? If not, your project will start tomorrow. Oh, and Mr. Connor, maybe you want to go to whatever you want to?"

Now you want us smuggling your cargo across HGV controlled areas for a shot at the outside world. I'd sooner cross the GEE at this point, at least they won't have us shot on sight."

George, who had been quiet all the time, finally got around to speaking again. “Look, Hunter, I don’t trust this rabble any more than you do. But I like the idea of Jossy here a lot more. Last time, you got lucky, but it only takes one bullet to kill.” Then, George turned towards Joseph, walking up close to him. “Jossy, listen, and listen carefully. This better be a good idea. If one of us gets so much as a scratch from your plan, well, let’s see who’s expendable then.” George walked back to his spot against the wall, and put his shoulder against it. “If you ask me, we better go with the smugglers. Running up to the gate won’t do us much good.”
The name's James. James Usari. Well, my name is not actually James Usari, so don't bother actually looking it up, but it'll do for now.

"Yeah, this time, there really won't be any of you guys to help us," Hunter said sarcastically, recalling the rebellion's stance of even aiding him and George on the rescue mission. They supplied the weapons, but they had signed them off as dead. He looked at the rest of them for their vote. "Well, I think you know where I stand on this, so I'll go by group majority on this one."

Thelin spoke up, "I don't know what they did, or didn't do, but I think its worth the shot. We still have to find George's sister, and while it may not be the right direction to start looking, we can change our search patterns once we're outside London. I'm in. Cymitia? Mike?"
