He'd been told that the general would be by to question him soon, though currently General Matthews had his own schedule to see to, most important being to meet this Anna Collins he'd heard so much about.

Anna had been escorted to General Matthews' tent, Connor having gone off to find rest for the moment. The general greeted her with a nod as she entered, though he certainly wasn't the friendliest of characters he did try to be pleasant. "It's good to meet you Miss Collins, our rebel friends on the inside have told me all about you and your skills." the general greeted, motioning for her to take a seat across from him.

Zach sat in his cell, thinking and rubbing his chin slightly. He was still wearing his eye-patch, above and below it there was a faint scar that could be seen.
"So, this is a GEE cell? Could've been better. Bah, but who am I to question the so-called "mighty Grand English Empire"....Please...", he muttered to himself. He continued his thinking, the evil man cracking a plan in his head even before the meeting.

Lancearc wrote:"I'm sure we can help you." Cymitia said with a small grin. "Hunter and I, we've been on the outside, inside the borders of the empire out there, it is a wonderful place, the people were friendly despite race. Though we can probably find you and your friend a safer way to get out." she said hopefully. "I'm not sure if the rebels are just letting people through their gates but we saw helicopters, we think from the armies outside, perhaps we could even reach them and see if they are accepting refugees..." Cymitia pondered curiously.

“Anything is better than staying in London at this point. Though, I kind of like it here too, but I can’t stay here indefinitely, its not a life to live,” Thelin said a bit solemnly. She looked at Cymitia, “Why don’t the four of us get out of London then? If the outside is as nice as nice as you say, and if Mike’s story is anything to go by, we should leave and not look back. A life outside this sorry excuse for a city is just what we need.”

She stopped then, her vigor and enthusiasm for a life outside London had overshadowed her loyalty to her own kind. While she hadn’t encountered helpful Nevidians in a long while, she wasn’t unfamiliar with to her own heritage and customs. Thelin chalked it up to being exposed to the unkindness of humanity and how entrenched and bitter she felt toward those that dwelled above. She could never understand how their cruelty could sink to such depths, but Thelin had to admit, not all were like that. Mike was an example, and perhaps so was the world outside the city.

"Well...Hunter and I have decided to stay until the war is over. Or it was more me, perhaps, but he stuck with me. I don't want to leave for good until the HGV are finished." Cymitia said, casting her gaze downwards somewhat at her injuries. For a second she wondered if it would be better if she just packed up and left for the last time along with this woman and her Human companion, bringing Hunter along, but then she remembered why exactly she'd come back in the first place - her own kind were still being executed in the streets, and she couldn't turn away without having some hand in the fight. "If you wish though I'm sure I can find some way for you and your friend to get out soon, though." she offered.

"Oh," Thelin said, somewhat disappointed, though she didn't understand why. She hardly knew Cymitia, maybe it was her own motives that had spurred her to think of wishful happiness. She nodded, "That's understandable, guess I've just been around humans too long to actually think for anyone but myself... I'd like that, I mean, if you could get into contact with someone to get me and Mike out of the city."

Hunter pit puttered around sanctuary. It was quiet and the last he heard, Cymitia was still in recovery and was advised to give her some rest before checking in on her or moving her to another room. He agreed without agruing, exploring the underground temple on his own. A few points, Butters had appeared, but as soon as the creature had shown itself, he left, scampering off to some other place.

"Has a mind of his own," Hunter smirked and moved into the main dining hall, feeling a bit hungry. He realized he hadn't eaten in almost two days, running mostly on adrenaline and stress. He also hadn't slept. Sniffing his shirt, "Or took a shower. Gross."

He settled for a food first, then a shower and a change of clothes and hopefully after that Pleaos could set him up with a room. His stomach agreed with him, urging him on to the main dining hall.

"I understand." Cymitia said with a kind smile. "I think we've all been on the surface for too long...I will certainly see what I can do for you and your friend, I'm not a general or anything but I would hope I've earned enough respect to at least be listened to by the people in charge." she said. Even for having just met this woman she seemed trustworthy enough and was friendly it seemed. "Did you say you owned a shop? I'm surprised you made business enough to keep it running in this city." Cym commented somewhat disgustedly.

"I kinda actually... took over. I used to work in freight, hauling supplies back and forth. It was a late night, I was doing a double," she recalled the night, "A few teenagers thought to rob the owner. I think they were just hungry and desperate. My boss resisted, one of them pulled out a gun and before I could enter the shop, there was gunfire. My boss was a dick, he hated our kind, though despite his bigotry he actually had a bit of a heart. Anyway, the old man struggled to hold onto life for almost two days. He died from his injuries, unable to recover. With no will and no clear owner, the shop sort of fell to me as there was no one that would take it. It's been mine since. Or at least, it was until a few days ago."

"I'm sorry." Cymitia said, unsure of what else she could really say. "Hunter and I worked together at a bar. The owner of this place too despised us - well, he didn't know Hunter was Nevidian. There wasn't anything likable about him though, he was solely a racist prick. After the riots Hunter found himself in possession of the place, but that didn't last long, because of the war." she said, recalling her own story before the war had started. "I don't even know if the place is still standing." she scoffed.

Thelin smirked, "Well if its any consolation, mine's pretty much destroyed. I guess I managed to hold on to it longer than most. Not sure what'd I'll be doing now though. Future seems pretty bleak."

Zach continued waiting boredly for the General who was to interrogate him. He began doing push ups with one arm, pull ups using a pipe he found and other various exorcises to keep his blood flowing.

"You mustn't lose hope though Thelin, if nothing else." Cymitia said with care. "Once you and your friend are out of this place you can do whatever you damn well please, in a new world." Cymitia continued optimistically.

Mike woke up from his sleep. The sound of two hushed voices woke him, prompting him to look around for the source. At another bed, Thelin was speaking with another Nevidian. Getting up, he stretched his arms and approached the two.

"I'm Mike." he said to the other woman, waiting for her response.

"Oh, hello." Cymitia greeted with a friendly smile, though she found that his interruption was somewhat rude to the two of them. She decided to continue though. "I'm Cymitia. I would introduce both of you to Hunter but he's probably off somewhere..." she said, glancing about the very dark room and spotting Butters entering at the same time. "This is Butters. No, I didn't name him." Cymitia said, and upon hearing his name the strange looking Nevidian reptile pet made his way towards the bed she lay in, plopping down next to it with a quiet hiss.

Mike slowly approached the creature, treating it like he would a dog. He held his hand underneath its jaw, it's tongue flickering on his hand. Knowing that he hasn't lost any extremities, he petted it on the head slowly. He then withdrew his hand slowly. Counting his fingers, he looked back at Cymitia.

"Well, It didn't go as bad as I thought. How'd you find it? I've only heard the name 'Vorshaj' once, and that was when a human apparently owned one. They must be rare cause the rich fella was bragging about it."

"Could've been Miners. Those shafts they build have a tendency to go deep underground. Maybe Butters got lucky and found a way to an abandoned one?"

He sat down on the bed, combing his fingers through his hair.

"HGV haven't been very nice during the past few days. I'm expecting for them to ransack my apartment any moment now."

Asuka

People may think that Asuka had not been active for several days. However, it was exactly the right mentality that she required others to feel about her. During these “passive days”, Asuka had been monitoring the schedules of Howsham’s security system. The timing whereby his guards take a break, take a nap, have lunch and also the timing when they are on “full alert mode”. Meanwhile, she had collected the items she needed for the assassination to occur.

She did not dare to belittle the capabilities of Mister Howsham, especially since all the bodyguards were made up of skilled veterans. Howsham was simply too paranoid to leave out any loopholes that could ultimately led to his demise. However, if Howsham really thought he could do so, then he was terribly wrong.

Using the fact that there were always two guards in his office, she decided to make a gamble. A dart dipped in the lethal poison from the skin of a poison dart frog shot through the air and hit the isolated guard standing by the corridor. The guard grabbed his chest but soon died of suffocation. One could swear that Asuka had a grin on her face.

Jumping down from her hidden location, she dragged the body into the storeroom nearby. Not caring about her modesty, she stripped herself before changing into the costume of the guard. Quickly disposing the dead corpse, a female bodyguard emerged from the door.

Looking at her watch, she knew that it was time for the next shift to take over. Walking side by side with another bodyguard walking along the corridor, they made their way to Mr Howsham’s office.

Following what all bodyguards do, she positioned herself at a location where she was able to act as a human shield to Mr Howsham. However, this only served as a distance advantage for Asuka. Her stare was as ghastly as her companion in the room.

All of a sudden, she removed the revolver from her tuxedo. Before the loyal bodyguard in the room could react, she whispered “Goodbye,” and pulled the trigger, a bullet cutting through the air, right through the heart. She remembered to silence the shot so that the rest of the bodyguards will not be notified of the intrusion. The bodyguard in the room fell to the ground as Asuka aimed her revolver back at her target, saying “Mr Howsham, care to enjoy your life before entering afterlife?”

They are very rare on the surface though, we don't know how this one managed to migrate to the surface world and make its way into London, we only stumbled upon it on the way here, in the sewers." Cymitia said, recounting their encounter with the faithful creature. "He's certainly friendly, he was just hungry when we came upon him." she explained, recalling the reptile's angry hisses at them previously.

"Yes, Thelin told me everything that happened. I know you probably aren't into our religion but a humble and kind spirit will bring you good fortunes, so long as it stays that way." Cymitia said, shifting position in the bed somewhat. "Hunter and myself are going to help the GEE in finally eradicating them when they are prepared, as it seems they nearly are. I know it's a horrible thing to say inside the sanctuary but I hope that my own spirit will still be judged kind enough to be reborn...I wouldn't want to go through all of this to be sent to some abyss." she said, though more to Thelin as she didn't imagine Mike would know what she was talking about in detail. "I'll find a way to get both of you out, though." she promised.

"It's good to meet you Miss Collins, our rebel friends on the inside have told me all about you and your skills." the general greeted, motioning for her to take a seat across from him.

Anna immediately took a seat in front of the general, not wanting to waste time. The man seemed pleasant, but his friendliness seemed somewhat fake. Not fake, but rather as if he was trying to be nice and friendly towards Anna. Leaving her thoughts aside, Anna patiently waited for the general to say something.

"I'll be frank with you, the GEE has taken quite the interest in your work. Not just militarily either. I, however, am here to reach an agreement of the military side of your research. We're aware that the rebels in London offered you a similar deal, and that fell through rather quickly what with recent happenings. The empire is willing to be very well, if you would grant us your knowledge. We have another fellow coming, something of an egghead, who takes more an interest in the scientific aspects of your work. I'm sure you'll find him more to your liking than an old war dog as myself." General Matthews said, though there was no indication that his last statement was a joke.

"Eternally grateful," Thelin nodded with a smile of her own. Though she was slightly somber almost immediately, "Are you sure you want to stay? This conflict... it could take years. Are you sure that's what you want to do?"

"I tried leaving, with Hunter. I didn't get much sleep that one night we spent outside of the walls, I was too busy thinking about what was happening to so many of my own while I was in a comfortable, warm bed. I couldn't take those kinds of thoughts." Cymitia said, confirming her certainty as to her decision.

"Understandable," Thelin replied. She wondered if her own ambitions to get out of this place made her shortsighted or selfish. Or was fighting against the HGV equally as shortsighted? Granted they had a goal, but Nevidians taking arms? That was a shock to her as much as it was the cruelty of humans. Shrugging off such doubt and worries, Thelin realized she didn't have much else more to say, but something compelled her to keep talking. "So how long have you and Hunter known each other?"

Dragonic Outland wrote:Asuka

"You! You little bitch! I knew Edeson would do this, lord knows why he thinks I'm the threat, that plotting megalomaniac will be the death of us all, don't you see!" Howsham prattled on frantically! Where were his guards? Surely they all couldn't have been dead at the hands of this woman. No, they were professionals, they had to have seen her by now.

"Whatever he's paying, I'll double it... no, I'll triple the price!"
