Morning, I'm in mah bed and probably won't move the entire day. It hurts like a bitch to move.

NA, my personal opinion (don't have to take my advice). If you want to cut down on characters, keep Sig, park Jacob? Jacob and Albert are both personifications of the same nation. Sig's unique in background and he's doing more IC. Don't get rid of Jacob. Just park him until he's got a purpose. Keep Albert because he's being developed and he's tied in to Ray's only character.

Best example is to pick on myself:

• Swith*. Main character. In use. Vital to my story. Involved with Thriller.
• Minerva*. Main character. in Use. Vital to my story. Backbone of Chaos plot line.
• Xanthe. In play for GT. Will be parked while he's gone.
• Blythe. In play for GT. Will be parked while he's gone except for one scene in Chaos plot.
• Tipper. In use. Vital to Aeten's story.
• Will. NPC OP tool. Vital to my story. Used as plot device only.
• Thomas and Pete. NPC OP tool.
• Mama Toussaint. Parked. Will be used later for Chaos plot.
• Naomi. Main Character. Vital to my story. Don't need her active. Parked.
• Rodney. Parked.
• Monique. Parked. Vital to nation visit story. Need her to remain unseen.
• Sutra. Vital to Chaos plot. Parked.
• Praga. Vital to Chaos plot. Parked.

All of my characters could be interacting but I keep most of them parked because it's too much additional clutter. They have no motive except as a way to entertain myself if I was bored. Characters in blue have no character development because they're tools.

Of my five active characters: 2 are encapsulated (Xanthe and Blythe) and only post once or twice a day. One is in dedicated story (Tipper) and I post her stuff once a day. My two main characters are ones that I would use to interact with others. They are busy in other scenes. I will not bring in parked characters just to entertain people. I will need to use Naomi to get Min introduced to the game tonight.

PL was easier when people only had 1 or 2 characters in use at a time. Then Mon started up with hers and began adding even more and then added even more and then added even more. The problem was everyone else began adding. None of these characters had any reason to be active. Players didn't have a plot line. They were playing just to post. Please, everyone, if you have more than 2 characters, weed out the ones who don't have any purpose except for chatter. Do like Prim does... only have 1 in play at a time.

Falling back on Dora's theme song (and to an extent, Gabrielle Leighton's as well though that is hardly either here or there). It's useful for thinking and introspection.

Now with little notes detailing past trends. And with explanations on backstories, for some of the newer players who weren't around in the days of yore.

• Luce. Side character. On hiatus. Affiliation = Ex-Roman soldier, Conservator.
• Chrys. Side character. In use. Affiliation = Ex-Roman slave (Celtic origin), Conservator trooper.
• Tasia. Side character. In use. Affiliation = Something something something, ex-Conservator. Chrys and Tasia are sisters, though neither will acknowledge that.
• Cuban Man. NPC. Central to story. Used as plot device only.

I think, in a real sense, my two main challenges here are Dora and Tasia. Dora, even as my most developed character, is still very much a work in progress. Not all the stone has been chiseled, as it were. I'm not quite sure yet myself how she'll respond to Katya and Torii's needs at the moment. I do have a vague idea for what she'll do later, but that scarcely helps in the now. _{Nevermind, I just now came up with something. Damn it, I hope that burst of imagination doesn't leave me awake.} As for Tasia, she began basically as a palette swap for Dora, and I like to think she branched out from that a bit after her first appearance. But from the posts I read right after I introduced her, she had a lot of the same mannerisms initially, and it's been a while since I played her, so I'm going to have to fumble around a bit until I get used to the way she thinks and acts again to make her truly different.
