A popcorn machine is practical. What if you get hungry in the field, and your stomach starts growling while you try to sneak behind someone? They'll hear you, and you'll curse yourself for not bringing a snack.

"Nutrient packs" are boring and tasteless. You should have a tasty snack that you enjoy eating so that you can not only keep your energy up but your spirits and enthusiasm, too. It can be hard to maintain morale when all you have are "nutrient packs."

he can swap genders at will if that's what you mean. he could probably modify it to fit himself anyway. he does have a girlish figure but with more muscle than the average female.
