They have always sheltered me. They never really let me make my own mistakes, although I did go through a rebellious faze in middle school when I thought they were being overly protective. Nothing's changed except for the fact that I'm back in line. Oh well, another two or three years and I'll be out of the house.

My parents might get pretty pissed if I stayed very long past graduating high school..... especially if I get a full-ride scholarship somewhere.... Then I would have no excuse to stay at home! Or at least not a good one...

First year or two I don't have the option of staying on campus because it's a community college. after that, I move about 2 1/2 hours away to another school.

I managed to convince them to let me have it. I told them I was kind of near the center of attention right now. My dad told me to kill Yoshi off and get it to where I only play characters that don't matter so I only have to get on once a week if that. Like I'll actually do that.

..... Have you ever just told your dad its none of his business, and that its basically like writing a book collaboratively with other people?

My parents don't care, because I own my own computer and They trust me enough to not do stupid things online..... If I told them, they would probably be entertained reading it! especially since my mom watches Big Brother, and this RP is a lot like that in premise... just without the cameras....

They just don't trust me. Went in to test at college. Mom starts asking me if I have all of my supplies, did I double check, was I sure I could do it.

Lady giving out test: "Ma'am, he's fine, you are the one that's nervous. Go wait in the library"

Well, in that case, they are just wanting the best for you, but they just get worried you forgot something....

Most parents are like that. Especially mine. They get concerned when I get less than an A!

I know they love me, my home life isn't bad. They just have too much drama and treat me like I'm still 10 years old. It's just annoying when I am growing up and they can't see it.

And then they point out that I'm a brony and watch anime. Because anime is a cartoon it is clearly for children and thus I am still a child because I am interested in childish things.

Eh..... Really, just tell them, so? That is what I like to do during my free time, and why does that make me childish?

They are for kids, but why can't an adult enjoy them? Just because its made for one group in mind, it doesn't mean another group can't like it...

Because they are insane and don't understand why I like it. Tried and failed multiple times to explain it. It doesn't work. I'm still watching the premier of Sword Art Online this saturday and they can't stop me!

I've never understood the extent to which some parents take "our rules, our house". My mother forbade me to allow a girlfriend to stay the night. It offended her sensibilities. She expected me to contribute to maintaining the house (chores). I had a curfew because she didn't want to be woken up if I came in late. I can't imagine why any parent would feel the need turn their house into a prison however. I've heard people 18+ years in age complain about structured internet access, their own shelf in the fridge and being grounded from their own car. Can't fathom that level of parenting.

Anything in IC I should know about?

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.
