Well, hey, if you destroy our fleet, you risk damaging Urran's island where the base is located.

But still, if you want us to withdraw, convince the people who let us have the base there anyways! Although realistically (Meaning I'd like to forget about Europe after the drone attack), I'm not going to war-it-up or anything for a while, we're spread quite thin, and our economy is doing fine, but can't support any more wars.

Besides, a lot of the extra money is going into the city that Torii and I both jointly control, and they're our allies.

Urran, or we could just go home if ordered, you obviously wouldn't want to get into another war with us.

I don't understand your second paragraph.

Not unless they're our big guns.

We'd have sold our weapons to the BranRiech, too, though.

Damaging Urran's nation? And that's bad because...? We don't have treaties with any nation save Dystan.

We won't destroy your fleet. We'll ask nicely to back off, and then we'll engage in kinetic bombardment on your prime nation. We don't actually have (or need) a surface fleet. Remember, witherwards are Nifid colonies. We went toe to toe with the Drones. We don't want your land or resources because we don't like to expand.

Seriously, I'm not trying to be an ass, but that base is too close for comfort. It's bad for our tourist industry and the risk of you deciding to attack us is too great. You opt to play your nation aggressively.

Uran: It obviously can't be good for the economy, or make the leadership very popular for sending young soldiers to their deaths. We have the advantage of being a totalitarian state (People still have general freedoms, like speech, but even that's limited by a bit), so unpopularity is a non-issue for us. But we'd rather keep our economy rolling.

--

Swith, the base isn't for arming our ships at all, it's simply for refueling, so we don't need to send out refueling ships for the journey back home to the Branriech, it's not for invading people and murdering innocent puppies like we're thought to do.

The war was basically something of a plot device for Yoshi to die anyways.

Look at it from my nation's perspective. We've been attacked and it looks like we're going to be attacked again. The moral would be high like America after Pearl Harbor or Israel being bullied by larger nations and terrorist groups constantly. It would be a "popular war"

I don't think you have a say in what Swith does. That's godmodding.

Hers isn't godmodding because it's FFT against (P)MT. Which is modern jets against Middle Age Europe, or probably worse. There's a minor distinction.

Besides, there's always rebuilding.

Further besides, Swith said her people would ask first.

The war was basically something of a plot device for Yoshi to die anyways.

Let me be perfectly clear:

Diplomacy... Politics

A nation goes out of its way to conqueror other nations. The world was bound to notice when you guys took over Europe. The base can, at any time, be used to fuel ships (or aircraft) to advance the spread of a conquering nation. That nation... your primary nation... has opted to occupy a nation close to my primary nation... Swith Witherward. (Not Tego Witherward which is actually outside the solar system.)

Your nation is a schoolyard bully that beats the fuck out of other nations and then, when caught, cries "no fair!" and begs for clemency because you, the player, feel picked upon and singled out. The war is over. There isn't any reason for you to occupy that nation. Your ships can be given fuel to get home and then not return. Any established facility (after a war) would be occupation of that nation.

If you don't want to cause an escalated international incident, don't start international incidents. My nation hasn't done anything to stem your nation's constant land grabbing but, as is canon for my nation, we don't tolerate hostile nations within striking distance.

Will I play out my nation according to established canon? Fuck yeah. Only because I have a member of my nation in this RP.

Will it? I think Swith knows better than that. Force neutralization, and all that.

*shrug* Whatever, man. I tried. My country will still love to go to war with either yours or Cliff's. Or both, even. I could use practice, since it's my first time.

My military wouldn't attack you. You're peaceful and under constant attack by communist nations, but you hold strong. What we'd do is issue a demand to the BranRiech nation. If he doesn't heed that demand, we declare war. We usually don't bother sending troops or ships. Our method is kinetic bombardment. We fire large, pointy things from space. It's actually PMT in design. The FT comes into play regarding aiming those pointy things. Thousands and thousands of pointy things, all streaking through orbit to take out specific targets. We continue bombardment until our demands are met... and we do not help the target nation rebuild.

I'm done for the night.

Once again: the dangers of associating your nation's canon with PL.

However, once again (again): you're doing the whole heart-tugging "I'm sorry I upset you guys, please forgive me!" act. And I'm sorry, but I honestly get kinda upset when you come in here and do that whenever someone points out that you've done something wrong. I probably shouldn't be talking, because I don't really have anything to do with this. My country is safely out of PL canon in terms of public knowledge, and so I have really no effect on PL's international affairs business. But I'm getting tired of you trying to take advantage of everyone's emotions whenever I skim over your apologies. Just apologize, plain and simple, if you feel the need. Don't swear like it's a dramafest, don't do this whole thing about beating yourself down and expecting people to rush over to your side and pat you on the back.

*sighes, hoping I don't come to regret that statement*
