Alright. I need to finish proofing the post I copied. The scene was meant to flow without being too long to read but the post in between broke it up too much.

I wish you guys would slow down posting speed. I mean, we were just doing a copypasta and even then it wasn't fast enough to catch a break between other posts. It's already buried a page back.

The effort is showing.

Mentoring suggestion for everyone. (I'm trying to break the habit as well, since I did it a lot when replying to GT)... add more than dialog. Take time to respond and flesh things out. Don't add fluff but add story. Tell everyone what's motivating your character or maybe a bit of action other than a facial expression?

"Jacob nodded. "That he was." He said, before Yuri went off to speak to someone. Jacob could swear he remembered Yoshi's will had promised him something else. He didn't want to be rude by refusing Yoshi's final wishes for what should become of his belongings, but he was honestly incredibly sad and really wanted his friend back on the inside. He just hid it, and focused on his happy memories of the urranese writer. He walked back to the main room, and looked around briefly for Yuri. "Hey, wasn't there one more thin that Yoshi gave to me? I can't remember what exactly it was, but I know there was one more thing..."" < purdy!

Well, maybe start with Tieria? You want him to get more depth, and more emotion..... so why not show more of his Psyche?

It draws the eye in and shows us a bit about him.

We just need to find a happy balance between dialog and action/reaction/environment. Paint the scene into the post. *shrugs*

I'm trying to make better posts as well. I look at Gio's posts, Swith's, Urran's, and I try and emulate those, borrow some things, and create my own style. I still ain't there yet, though.
