Dodging takes concentration, you can't shoot and dodge without shooting yourself or your partner.

A slash to the throat is a rather specific action. The slightly move can turn that into a smack with the blade, without velocity to cut, or cutting into a non-lethal area. It doesn't take concentration to dodge such a specific attack. A jab to the chest would be more difficult, as the target is broad.

That's what is supposed to happen in my next post.
Bleeding people can't run around in vents or buildings without leaving a blood trail.
Makes it easier to track him.

It's not an argument.
I just don't see how my character can't run past the outer-most soldier and attack him, most likely killing him, and then ducking into a room and into that room's vents is not realistic.
Besides, what if the soldier's BACK was facing towards my character when he ran past the soldier...?
