New Duel Academy Year 1 (IC, Open)

Marcus facepalmed. "That deactivates SPELL cards. Fissure is a trap."

"It will be face up in a moment. Give it time. You might as well discard it before my turn starts."

"Your card doesn't stay in play just put it back down and we'll forget that you ever tried that."

He pointed down. "I never picked it up. It's called letting you know what will happen. I figure you need all the help you can get Slifer."

Andrew merely smiled and waited for his opponent to make his next move.

"Alright, first I play Shining Light from my hand revealing your face-down without effects. This activates Fissure. I now attack you directly.

IC: Alexander

Alexander walked into the forest with Henry and four dozen Blue-Eyes White Students following. Shadows began to follow them and clouds began to gather as lightning flashed. The group walked for what seemed like hours but was in all reality minutes. Finally they reached a clearing where dozens of Blue-Eyes White Students and former Red-Eyes Black Students were encamped around tents and campfires. There were four tunnels at four different points of the clearing. All were lit and three formed a triangle while the fourth led somewhere where daylight reached.
For starters who are the Red-Eyes Black Students. There used to be a fifth dorm at Duel Academy known as Red-Eyes Black and they were ranked just below Blue-Eyes White. Eventually the Dorm was shut down due to strange happenings involving the students of the dorm. Now Alexander had gathered all the remaining ones to his cause. Little did the fools know that their energy would fuel the Roman God Cards in their great release.
Alexander and Henry and a group of mixed Red-Eyes and Blue-Eyes Students walked down one of the tunnels at the left tip of the triangle. Along the walls were carvings of Duel Monsters unlike any of the known cards in the world. All the inscriptions were written in Latin and up at the end of the tunnel lay a chamber. Upon entrance the Chamber was about as big as the Duel Courtyard back at the Academy. In the center stood a giant statue of a massive dragon similar to Slifer. Pillars lined the two sides of the path leading to the statue and more carvings lined the walls and torches lit the room.
"Ah the resting place of the great Lord of Hatred has finally been restored. And now Odite will rise." Alexander said as he prepared to initiate the ritual. All the Red-Eyes Black Students knelt down in two rows leading to the statue as Alexander stood in front of the statue. He placed a deck of blank cards on the pedestal.
"Oh great beast of the skies, hear my cry! I awaken you from your dark slumber of anger, Never again shall you be forced to linger! Hatreds unleashed by your path, As the world feels your wrath! I offer these souls to thee, So that you might be free! Now take these souls from their cage, And unleash your rage! Awaken as I your name I bate, ODITE DRAGON OF HATE!" The entire room began to shake as all the Red-Eyes Black Students felt their souls being ripped from their bodies. Their souls appeared as glowing orbs which began to fly into the statue causing the room to shake more as red lightning circled the statue.
Soon streaks of red light began to shoot out of the carvings into the deck of blank cards slowly filling in each card. The Red-Eyes Black Students began to fall to the ground one by one. Soon a huge red light streamed out of the statue into the deck and the whole room pulsed with light. When it stopped Alexander picked up the deck and began to laugh maniacally.
"SOON THEY WILL ALL FALL TO THE POWER OF THE BEASTS!" His shout could probably be heard all the way back at the Academy.

IC: SLIFER RED

Anne was walking through the forest to relax herself when suddenly she was surrounded by Blue-Eyes White Students. She screamed and then Alexander emerged from the trees with his Duel Disk ready. Anne knew what he wanted was a duel and so she activated her own Duel Disk. She put on a brave face but she knew that fear shined bright in her eyes.
"LET'S DUEL!" They shouted.

IC: Rosier/Near end of Duel Period Half an hour later

Rosier was just getting through beating a kid when an explosion of light shot out of the forest and beamed into the sky causing a swirling mass of clouds and lightning to gather. But not just any lightning. Red lightning! A massive and terrifying and deep roar like a dragons resonated through the air as a form began to descend from the clouds. And boy was it frightening.
It clearly was a dragon and similar to Slifer only some dark version of it. This dragon was clearly a lot longer and had no legs just arms with talons sharp enough to slice right through the islands volcano. This dragon had four wings which were about three times the size of Slifer's at the ones closest to the head and only twice the size at the ones closest to the tail. It's eyes shined a fiery yellow but a fire literally burned inside of them. Like Slifer it had spikes on its head only longer and sharper. The beast had only one mouth though and it was filled with teeth the size of a small Naval Cruiser though they seemed to be regular sized teeth for this beast because they all fit in its mouth. Atop its forehead was a massive and fiery Ruby inside of which flames swirled around and around. It was also bright crimson like Slifer.
Then as he was getting used to the sight of the dragon a voice pierced the air. " NOW ODITE ATTACK THAT SLIFER WHELP WITH BURNING RAGE!" The dragon raised its head and then let loose a blast of light the color of fire upon whoever was being attacked. A massive explosion shown and clearly an actual fire had been started. Then the dragon roared once more.
Rosier called to Alex, Oiron, Tyler, Richard, and Henry. "Come on! Someone might have been hurt!"

[Ouearotion]

Oiron quickly turned his head toward Rosier before getting his deck in order, and loading his duel disc, "Who's hurt, and where are they?" He asked before catching site of Odite, "And what the hell is that?"

[Decius]

IC: Rosier

Rosier shrugged as he ran into the forest and then into the clearing where it all happened. Anne was lying facedown on the ground surrounded by a ring of fire as the surrounding trees were toppled and burning. Alexander and his army stood across from her and he was laughing maniacally and did more so upon seeing everyone.
"Hello little brother. I see you have not yet met Odite the Dragon of Hate. Roman God Monster of Hatred, Rage, and Anger."

[Ouearotion]

Oiron followed Rosier into the forest before quickly noticing the Slifer-looking dragon. "Wh...what the hell is your goal anyways?" He asked Alex, "What do you want from a bunch of Academy students!?"

Andrew smiled at the move "ouch." was all he said before starting his turn. "Well I'm quite lucky I suppose, I've got a good hand. I'll play instant summon from my hand which lets me play a level five card, I'll now put my T-38 in attack position (2200 attack 2000 defense) and I'll put down two trap cards (ring of destruction and magic cylinder) now I'll end my turn."

IC: Alexander

Alexander laughed. "Souls and power! All the hope and interest in your young souls could quickly fuel my Roman God Monsters."

[Galnius]

Andrew smiled at the move "ouch." was all he said before starting his turn. "Well I'm quite lucky I suppose, I've got a good hand. I'll play instant summon from my hand which lets me play a level five card, I'll now put my T-38 in attack position (2200 attack 2000 defense) and I'll put down two trap cards (ring of destruction and magic cylinder) now I'll end my turn."

"Nice monster. I summon a second level four monster, Winged Pegusus(1800 attack 1750 defense.) I now cross the overlay network and summon number 109 Shadow Sun Dragon!"(see page three) I use Heavy Storm and end my turn with two face downs.(Seven Tools of the Bandit, Spontaneos Combustion(same affect as Medusas Eye))." He had a slight personality change as the number 109 formed on the back of his hand. He seemed to grin evilly.

Oh and my whole deck is nice, I wont be able to show you much of it though since this duel is ending quickly- whatever I'm getting distracted. I summon a monster in defense position and since I can't really use any spells and any traps will get cancelled I'll attack now. I use my T-38's special ability; when a monster of above 3500 attack points is on the field it can use two abilities and I'm using them both at once, the first one canister shot allows me to attack twice however the second shot is at half strength, the second ability is piercing shot; I can attack you directly. So go T-38!"

Alexander reappeared in his room in the Blue-Eyes White Dorm. Odite and its special deck were then locked in a briefcase with Blue-Eyes Infinity Dragon. Then just as he was walking over to his laptop he began to clutch his head and mutter in two voices. One deep that sounded ancient and powerful and the other deep but lighter and smooth and cool.
"Give me back my body!" Said the smooth and cool voice in a sort of fit as Alexander continued to hold his head and twist around and around in convulsions.
"I have. I'm just having a hand in controlling it!" Said the Ancient and Powerful voice in a tone of mockery.
"You will never succeed!" Shouted the smooth and cool voice as if it were dying.
"Perhaps not! But here this! I will be free again for I have been locked away for 2000 years! No longer!" And Alexander convulsed once more before he settled and a crimson gleam shone in his eye as he rose up and smirked. He walked over to his computer and sat down to work on his homework.

OOC: I'm gonna do a little time-skip in the next post to the second month at the Academy is that okay? You guys can finish the duel if you want or end it almost dramtically in a battle between two monsters and leave it as a cliffhanger.

IC: Narrator/ 1 Month later

It has been over a month since the release of the first Roman God Card. Nothing out of the ordinary has happened since. The first month of Duel Academy went well save the first days and classes proceeded as they normally would. The new students have now fully grown accustomed to living at the Academy and no trouble has occurred since that day. For the Blue-Eyes White Students and Obelisk Blue Students the Duel Runner Written and Practical Exams take place in the next week or two. For the Ra Yellow Students the Card Creation Written and Practical Exams take place in two weeks. And for the Slifer Red Students the Basics of Dueling Exams take place in a week. Nothing out of the ordinary. The Shadow Duelists have not yet made another appearance and Alexander has just plain been normal as he goes to his classes but is extremely distant and quiet. Rosier and Richard have been selected as Mentors to tutor any students who apply. Thus due to their amazing Dueling skills a lot of Slifer Red Students applied to have them as tutors since they were master duelists. Christina is continuing to secretly look through all the files restricted or not in the Kaiba Corporation Database. Diana is improving in her dueling but still has a lot to learn. Anne has recovered from her experience but refuses to speak of it. Tyler is his usual cool and energetic self though one could tell that he was still bummed by his defeat. Henry has been practically on a protest complaining about how Slifer Red Students are not permitted to participate in the Duel Runner tests. And that is what has happened so far.

Oiron smiled as he outstretched his hand, "Dragon Lancer(2800Atk/2400Def), finish off the rest of his life points!" He exclaimed as the dragon pierced Oiron's opponent, causing his life points to deteriorate into nothing. Oiron then walked up to his opponent, and shook his hand before leaving the area. During the last month, Oiron had gotten himself into multiple duels with his fellow Slifer Reds, so that he could come up with one play that would end Odite. "Even that strategy wouldn't take out Odite, or even the rest of Alex's deck." He thought sadly as he walked into his dorm, and sat on his bed. A card suddenly slipped out of his deck, and fell onto the ground in front of his feet. "Oh this card." Oiron said as he examined the Heart of Kings spell card, even after a month, he had yet to use it, the card had just never been drawn. "I wonder if all hasn't seemed dark enough for me yet." Oiron said to no one in particular, "Even with Odite under Alex's control."

[Decius]

IC: Tyler

Tyler raced over to Oiron more energetic than ever. And that was saying something. He practically leaped off his Duel Board. "Oiron! Have you heard! Maximmillian Pegasus, Yugi Muto, Seto Kaiba, and Joey Wheeler are coming to Duel Academy next month! Their going to check on the status of the Academy and stay with a certain Dorm for a week in each Dorm. So for four weeks we have the greatest Dueling Legends ever at our school!"
