New Duel Academy Year 1 (IC, Open)

Oiron frowned as he watched his roommates converse, "Though maybe one of the reasons Alex doesn't lose is due to him might owning one of the shadow cards." He said as he remembered what Professor Ducio had said, " Speaking of shadow cards, where's the nearest computer?" Oiron asked, anxiously wanting to learn more about Robert Barry, and all of his discoveries.

"Just use this one", said Alex, getting up. "Hey Tyler, want to duel?"

IC: SLIFER DORM

Tyler grinned. "I would but I don't wanna beat down you guys on your first day. Besides I already promised James Harrison the Dorm Captain for Obelisk a duel. Laters!" He hopped on his Duel Board and sped off towards the Obelisk Blue Dorm. "If any files on the database say restricted access then press control, alt, delete, and then type Mokuba very quickly!"

IC: Alexander

Alex sat at his desk in his room in the massive Blue-Eyes White Dorm Building typing away on his computer trying to decide where to strike first. He had hacked into the entire Academy Database and all records on every student. He could know their families, decks, personality, even height in minutes. All their secrets would be laid bare by his work and now he could choose targets to send his "Shadow Duelists" after in order to release the three Roman God Cards. All he needed was to gather enough souls into his hands and he could release them.
Just then he found a student he believed would be a perfect target for his "Shadow Duelist" who went by the name of "NightShroud" (OOC: Its the spirit of NightShroud inside of a Blue-Eyes White Student named Thomas Carlton but he looks just like Atticus did and duels like him when Atticus was possessed by NightShroud.). He brought up a video message to NightShroud. When the message came up all Alex could see was a dark figure against a slightly lighter background.
"NightShroud I have a target for you. A boy with a lot of spirit and energy in his soul that would greatly aid us in acquiring the three Roman God Cards. A boy by the name of Oiron Lionfeld. See to it that his soul is captured but wait so the boy becomes excited and more energy gathers in his soul as he enjoys Duel Academy. Wait until the second week of the school year before you strike." NightShroud simply nodded and then it went dark.

"Just use this one", said Alex, getting up. "Hey Tyler, want to duel?"

Oiron stopped in front of the computer before turning his head towards Alex, "Hey don't I still owe you a duel?" He asked as he took out his Duel Disc, and loaded his deck, "I've never actually seen you in action, and I'm hoping this will be my chance."

"Then lets test your deck out eh?" He loaded his deck into a duel disk and put on the gazer. "You first", he said drawing his hand.

IC: Alexander

Alex was about to open his door when three other students did for him. They seemed hysterical. "Alex you won't believe this but some Slifer broke in here and stole all the Shadow Cards!" Alex was shocked then he regained his composure. He grabbed the leader by the shoulders.
"Which way did he go!" They pointed outside and Alex, the three students, Henry, and eight other students they picked up along the way began to chase down the Slifer down the path towards the Slifer Red Dorm. Alex and company dodged and jumped over logs, tree's, small creeks, animals, everything as they chased down the Slifer thief. They shouted after them.
"Come back here Slifer Slacker!" Shouted Henry as he literally pushed a tree out of his way with his robotic arm.
"Bring those back Red Rookie!" Shouted a student named Dash who sprinted down the path.
"Hand them over or your dead!" Screamed Alex. Those Shadow Cards were the key to his "Shadow Duelists" victorious onslaught. If they were gone then his "Shadow Duelists" would have to play fair. He just increased the amount of speed he was putting on.
Soon they broke through the clearing and found the Slifer Dorm Building as the thief tripped over a root and a box flew out of their hands but they picked it up and continued to run. They turned and shouted back. "You won't hurt anyone else with these devil cards!" Just then their hat fell off to reveal.....Anne! She ran behind Alex and Oiron as Tyler flew back in after a quick victory.
Alex and Company stopped and glared at them all. Alex stepped forward. "Give me back the 101 Shadow Cards in that box you little runt before I do something rather drastic! They won't expel me. With Kaiba Corporation not putting much money into the school as they should be my fathers company has funded it! They expel me and they lose their 150,000,000 monthly funding! So hand over those cards!" Just then Henry whispered in his ear and Alex smirked.
"Alright how about this. We duel for the 101 Shadow Cards. I will duel the first person who volunteers unless the little runt is brave enough to step up and duel me herself! You have until tomorrow night to decide who duels or else after two hours after exactly 8:00 PM tomorrow night I'll come and take them back!" They began to walk back down the path they came.

Rosier and a couple Obelisk Students sympathetic to the Slifer's ran over just as Alex was leaving. "What happened! Why would you steal from my brother! He goes insane when someone steals from him! You know what happened to the last person to steal from my brother! Neither do I because they were never seen again! At most we can't duel for you but if you decide to hold out we can help there." They all began to take up lookout positions around the building except Rosier who continued to stare at Anne and more specifically the box in her hands.
"That Ra student Marcus wouldn't last one second against Alex! He may have held his own against Henry but so can I! Besides I don't think that kids alright in the head right now! He will also probably only duel a Slifer because it was one of them who stole the cards! It's got to be you, Oiron, Tyler, or Anne! Our only other option is to use the Shadow Cards against him but that's way too dangerous." Rosier slapped his forehead.

Alex looked at appreciation to Alex. "Here, take this card for the duel. It's all I have left from my dad's deck." He handed him wolfsbane, a spell card. "It negates all effects of a monster."

IC: SLIFER DORM

Tyler gladly accepted the card. "Thank you Alex. I'll be sure to put it to good use. And now let's get ready because he said tomorrow night 8:00 PM sharp. And I intend to win and strike a blow to BEW for Slifer Red! Lets start planning! Rosier you've seen your brother duel before so you should come to." They all ran inside the Dorm Building to start preparing for the duel.

IC: Alexander

Alexander knew he couldn't take just anyone with him to the duel so he would bring his "Shadow Duelists". He brought them all up on a video conference. "NightShroud, Hounder, Scorcher, Drowner, Dragon, HellHound, Harpie, Vampire, Tusk. I want you all to accompany me to a duel tomorrow night at 8:00 PM sharp. Stick to the shadows and observe. Except you NightShroud. I want you front and center so these whelps can see what a "Shadow Duelist" looks like." Alex cut the connection and began organizing his deck as he walked over to a briefcase on his bed and input a complex passcode. The case opened to reveal a singular card which Alex picked up and observed before beginning to laugh maniacally to the heavens. "THEY WONT KNOW WHAT HIT THEM WHEN I'M THROUGH WITH THEM! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" He was almost positive they could hear him around the island.

IC: Shadow Duelists

From all around the different Shadow Duelists arrived at Academy Island. A few civilians were unlucky enough to encounter them and paid with their souls. By the time all the Shadow Duelists made it to the Blue-Eyes White Dorm, NightShroud alone had captured twenty souls. The total for them all was eighty-seven. But they might soon be adding more to it.

Alex stood on his balcony while all his Shadow Duelists stayed in spare rooms in the Dorm Building. NightShroud walked up and Alex turned around. "It is exactly twenty four hours until the duel. I want you to go give them a little gift. Show them your power NightShroud." The powerful Shadow Duelist nodded as he jumped off the balcony only to be caught by a glide which flew into the night towards the Slifer Dorm. NightShroud was about to make his presence known to the Students.

Oiron was speechless, he had wanted to step up, to duel Alex Barry, but he couldn't , he was too scared. Alex then started yelling, bring Oiron back to his normal self. "I have faith in Tyler, but I know he can't win against Alex, no one can." He thought as he clenched his fist before turning towards Anne, and smiling, "So, you have all of the shadow cards right?" Oiron asked as a desperate plan came into mind, "It would be risky, but what if Tyler used the shadow cards to defeat Alex?"

IC: NightShroud

NightShroud dropped to the ground in front of the Slifer Dorm and began steadily walking towards it. Once he was about to enter he screamed to the heavens. "COME FORTH RED-EYES BLACK DRAGON, RED-EYES DARKNESS DRAGON, RED-EYES ZOMBIE DRAGON!" Suddenly those three monsters appeared as pillars of flames shooting into the sky before becoming....REAL! The actual monsters came to life and roared at the Slifer Dorm.
"Attention you little whelps! I am NightShroud of the Shadow Duelists! I bring you a message of what a Shadow Duelist truly is like before we go on the hunt! Those Shadow Cards would not defeat my master! He has a card which has greater power than them all! Prepare for those cards to be returned to my master!" NightShroud shouted up at the Slifer Dorm. He knew as soon as anyone saw him they would truly be afraid for the rumors about him had gone around the world of he mercilessly stole souls.

Alex saw this...thing...and jumped up. "Give me the cards. Don't ask, just give them to me."

"HAHAHAHA! Yes fear me! I relish in it! For now I will tell you who my master has assigned as my first target! You! Oiron Lionfeld!" He pointed at Oiron and all three of his dragons roared at the boy as well. "You will be devoured by the shadows once I go on the hunt!" NightShroud laughed maniacally as he pointed at the Cafeteria of the Dorm Building. "Red-Eyes Black Dragon, destroy the building! INFERNO FIRE BLAST!" Red-Eyes fired right at the cafeteria blasting the wall and all the tables and anything close to the blast area to pieces.

Marcus jumped up from his sleep at the fire. Ever since he had found the amulet more and more things had been revealed to him. The newest thing, he seemed to heal quickly. He immediately bent the light around him making himself nearly invisible and crept out. He saw the figure and the Red-Eyes and approached, still unseen. "You really need to work on sublety there chief."

NOW MY THREE RED-EYES ATTACK WITH INFERNO FIRE BLASTS!" The three REAL Red-Eyes aimed at where Marcus was supposedly but it was actually three feet off. They fired in unison at the spot and the blasts streaked towards it.

NightShroud said no more. He just got back on his glider and flew off into the night with the three dragons following him. NightShroud would hunt them soon. And when he did the Shadow Games would begin once again.

Alex watched as NightShroud spoke to the area of a faint shimmer. "I'm turning in before I need to be drug tested."

Oiron was dazed as the three Red-Eyes suddenly fired randomly in the opposite direction of the dorm before flying away. "What just happened?" He asked no one in particular," Is this what we've got ourselves into?" Oiron then turned his head towards Anne, "So, can we take a look at the shadow cards you stole?"

[Decius]

IC: SLIFER DORM

Anne shook her head. "That's just it. The stats on the cards are all there but the pictures are blank! Even that one Henry used at the docks that I've heard about! All blank for some reason! I don't know why!" Professor Ducio stepped in and had a grim look.
"I know why. Shadow Cards can only be used by those who are dark of heart and soul. Alexander and his Shadow Duelists clearly are such."

Oiron folded his arms, "Darn, and I was hoping to use a few of them to take out the Barry's." He said before furrowing his eyebrows, "Since there seems to be no other way to beat them." Oiron was still desperate to beat Alex, and end all of the madness, but at his current skill level, he couldn't do a thing.
