It's not even necessarily referring to transgender people, just cute crossdressers who people think are cis girls (hell, Hideyoshi, a popular anime "trap" is a cisgendered boy who has to constantly remind his classmates he's a boy).

I'm a transgender girl, and I don't have any problem with the term. I just can't see how it's offensive in this particular context.

The basic idea is that trans folks are intentionally trying to deceive men, hence the term "trap." It creates and then pereruates the notion that trans women are lying and untrustworthy and exist only to trick straight men into having gay sex. It is quite literally the most dangerously hateful notion facing trans people. It raises men to believe that the very existence of trans people is a constant threat to their masculinity, and it creates an environment of fear and self-loathing for trans people who are afraid that simply trying to be themselves will be seen as an egregious insult that can only be dealt with in assault, rape, and murder.

Moving on... Trump is worrying me in the Presidential race, only because he's such an outrageous character. I seriously have no clue what will happen if he's elected, I mean, part of me has this desire to watch the world burn faster. Then I have the underwhelming urge to also try and guess as to what he'd do if he lost.

I actually really want to write a story like that now. It'll start with a scene of a conquering army pillaging a small farming village, and the leader will be shown as the most over the top, evil for the sake of evil villain ever. Then in the midst of all the chaos, his tramples a flower garden. Enter the hero of the story who is utterly aghast at what he just witnessed and becomes filled with righteous fury, yelling about his ruined flowers. And the story will constantly bring this up every opportunity it has.

"Wow, the way you took down those raiders, you must really hate [villain]"
"He trampled my flower garden that I spent four months working on! Four months!"
"...You've been fighting his army for seven months..."

"Why!? Why do you always get in my way!? Why do you continuously fight me with such fervor!?"
"Two years ago you invaded my village and destroyed the flower garden I spent four months working on!"
"Wait, seriously!? Look, I'll give you enough money to make a new flower garden!"
"No! This is about revenge!"

And then at the end of the story, after the villain has been vanquished, there'll be an epilogue where we see the hero relaxing on his porch, admiring his new garden. Then out of nowhere, a dragon flies in and torches the place. The story ends with the hero angrily shaking his fist at the sky and shouting "DAMN YOOOOUUUUUU!"
