In fact the descendants of him and his army in the Middle East tend to have blue eyes and fair skin.

The point of Fate is that legends may not be entirely accurate. This is the reason Arthur has got tits and a vagoo, Gilgamesh looks like a super sayan, and Iskandar is a buff tanned redhead. Speaking of which, he's also actually identified as a descendant of Zeus in the anime, like the myths about him said.
