Anyways, time for some background information about this dungeon. I've decided to call this location Rainbow Crater. Most of the Pokemon you'll encounter are either Flying, Grass or Normal. At the end of the dungeon is a huge lake with a legendary Pokemon. This is NOT the Pokemon from the meteor, but it will tell us about it vaguely IC. Now I need to decide what Pokemon it will be since I'm torn between two at the moment

Care to explain how a Fighting-type would know that? Seriously Altorus, quit with the meteor thing. Nobody else here has even mentioned one, and it doesn't make any sense to have your character know about some random rock in space when I've stated in the rules "No Meta-gaming". I'm not going to put up with that crap dude, so either straighten up or get banned. Your choice.

It's a huge forest inside a crater, so if there's enough water around, yes you can use Surf
