The crew has moved from Talihina after engaging successfully a scout patrol, outrunning the invaders' giant robot machine thing, staying the night in a strorm cellar. They reached a downed military helo and found intel regarding a large tower in Miami which the invaders are using to freeze the planet before being taken by military forces to an underground silo which us being used as their base.

I think this is alive and running. It seems because of summer, people got fun stuff to do. For example, I'm going to Bulgaria for two weeks after three weeks.

Got back from Talihina not too long ago, actually. Visited family.

And it was fun imagining the events from the thread happening there :p

Heading to Cancun soon too.

Name: James A. Badger
Age: 60
Gender: male
Personality: James is a closed book with an enormous uranium lock, which can't be opened without significant harm to one's person. He is incredibly introverted, and this helped him keep alive. He doesn't move with people that much, he just wanders alone. He doesn't share resources, he doesn't help people in need, and he certainly has no plans of building human resistance. He just wants to survive. His old face, withered by cold and loneliness, harbours no friendliness and kindness. Neither does his rifle.
Appearance: Old, his body is covered in a big fur coat, his face obscured by a bandana and a Russian fur cap. His face is scarred and his eyes are unkind. His voice grumbles.
Equipment (Keep it realistic, here): a hunting rifle, a large back pack, a large hunting knife and a hand axe. Sometimes he takes things he finds, but this is generally his equipment.
Short Bio: James was a woodcutter. A strong man, a lumberjack from the north. That was probably what saved him, because he was out hunting a rather big bear which was between him and the nice big trees when the invasion came. He tried to get back to his home town, only to see it burned with his wife, kids and everyone he ever knew. The town was torched in minutes, and he could see the burning and burned scream in their fiery doom. He just turned back and went deeper into the forest, roaming from ruin to ruin in search of shelter and food. He keeps himself busy by doing that, and has no long-term plans. His long-term planning died with his family. He was captured by military personnel because he had good food on him, and for wounding a soldier who tried to take it. He is being driven to a large silo right now.
The name's James. James Usari. Well, my name is not actually James Usari, so don't bother actually looking it up, but it'll do for now.
Lack of a real name means compensation through a real face. My debt is settled

They aren't bandits, they don't randomly attack people. They also don't use cars, the invaders look for those.

Otherwise, accepted.

Sorry guys, I'm gonna have to drop out..:( Have Chloe and David die alone together after abandoning the group because they didn't want to fight? Just an idea, sorry to have to go, but this month is just going to be really busy and I'm not going to have much time to do anything big.

Any competent humans can track a radio trans, you think a super race couldn't?

I was thinking about that show Falling Skies, I haven't seen it in a while, but I think I remember them using a radio. IDK...

I also didn't realize that there was giant robot following me all the way from Oklahoma City.

I also didn't realize that there was giant robot following me all the way from Oklahoma City.

It followed at the first radio broadcast. It had already been sent to Talihina to follow the original group.

And whether or not falling skies incorporates it is irrelevant. Hunabs have been able to track radio since the Second World War, so the point stands, damn it.

Now keep crying me a river and I'll have to build a boat :p
