There is only ~700 000 of them, they're their to bolster the otherwise depleted Mercatorian ground forces; because the main interests of the Mercatoria is in sky-travel and trade, they do not have a particularly large army which is why the Mechanical units are being brought into play.

Except that makes little sense. Why not try to use what they're already good at (air travel) rather than make up for where they lack (ground forces)? And do you have any idea how expensive 700,000robotsautomatons are? For the same price you can buy each soldier the full package to make them an elite force, or turn your country into a bastion.

How about, to settle your differences, each of you posts a short list including the pros/cons of some of your military units, then you can argue about ballance WITHOUT resorting to pettit insults. In fact, I'll do a list myself later and maybe some of the more sane guys could join in to help keep the peace.
I just like how this joinup session has been 75% about weather or not the Sci-fi Samurai will let steam-powered geth be used, even though he says they're silly, while a big fat bandit chief from the wrong side of the desert tries to keep the peace... Or am I getting too IC?

I'm not arguing against anything he has; he just seems to have a problem with what I choose to RP with. Even though I've already stated that I won't be godmodding.

2) Lack heavy weapons.
3) Impetuous and liable to charge forward uncontrollably.
Camel Gunners-
Pros
1) Have high-powered and accurate light cannon.
2) Highly manuverable.
3) Bridge the gap between high-calibre sniper rifles and light artillery.
Cons
1) Vulnerable to return fire.
2) Unable to destroy emplaced targets.
3) Difficult to train properly.
Landsailers-
Pros
1) Extrodenary straight-line speed.
2) Can mount heavy weapons.
3) Great for transporting assault platoons into close-quaters boarding actions.
Cons
1) Very little armour and toughness.
2) Difficult to stop quickly.
3) Do not work on rough ground like marshes, rocky hills or urban centres.
Alwemi-tan Guards-
Pros
1) Tough heavy infantry, capable of meeting foreign counterparts head on.
2) Strong shooting with small-arms and heavy weapons.
3) Equally strong in CQB.
Cons
1) Long training times and high standards mean heavy casuelties cannot be easily replaced.
2) Not as heavily armoured as other nations' heavy infantry.
3) Expensive, these men are give grants of land for their service, so are limited in numbers.
Alwemi Cavalry-
Pros
1) Very mobile and able to use all sorts of terrain.
2) High shock value, especially in melee.
3) Can skirmish very effectively with rifle fire while on the move.
Cons
1) Lack of heavy weapons.
2) Mostly unarmoured, so rely on speed for protection.
3) Poor training and low discipline make them flighty.
MK 3 Medium Landship-
Pros
1) Powerful armament compared to other comparable machines.
2) Carry assault teams for boarding actions.
3) The fastest and most manuverable landships avalable.
Cons
1) Lack the armour to last in a protracted firefight against comparable forces.
2) Low-tech engines give off lots of smoke, making daytime concealment hard.
3) Inexperienced crews.
See, we can comprimise.
