Incapable of practical deployment!? My Good sir, wait until you meet them in the battlefield before making such a judgement.

Nation Name: United Soviet Jason Republic
Nation Name (IC): The Kindome of Engia
Head of State: King Jacob Engi the I
Population: 70,000,000
Military Size, active and reserves: 5500,000 Active, 700,00 reserve 5,000 Lanships, 100 airships
Tech Level:7
Military Level:7
Economic Level:7

Military technology and doctrine(what war machines you use): Infinity units use a standard, easy to mass produce rife that due to the standardization of parts has a long range, easy to reload and is easy to replace with spare parts. The Calvary units of old have given way to a new group of large landships that hold 2 roatating 30mm large guns, with gatling guns on the flanks of the ship. They are heavily armored and use a the fusion hotbox for their power, but still use smoke as an intimidation tool-to mask other ships behind them. 50mm Artillery pieces are used to back up land assaults and pound enemies into dust. The army also hase developed an Anti-Air gun, specilized in taking down large airships and fighters-bombers planes.

Naval- The entire fleet consists of 135 ships. Engia uses its navy to secure trade routes for its goods. Engia currently has 20 large battleships, 70 Cruisers designed for patrolling and combat if necessary and 30 Destroyers for anti-air and scouting missions. The navy has recently designed and build 10 "underwater ship" that can launch torpedoes at enemy vessels while under water. We also have 5 Aircraft carriers. All of our navy ships contain fusion boxes, but destroyers still have smoke stacks to mask their locations.

Air- The air force of Engia uses its 35 smaller airships for anti tank-landships uses. The 50 larger airships, called Clouds, are used in both defensive and offensive tactics, and contain 10 rotating 50mm guns, anti air batteries and an armored hull. 5 Air carriers are used to carry fighters and bombers for Engia. They also carry AA guns and smaller weapons, but they are large, and not very menoverable. 5 airships are designated bombers, to rain hell apon anything below them.

Economy type(industrialized, agricultural or mixed): Mostly agricultural, but heavily industrial in Engia's 7 large cities. (Not as much as huge mega industry, but enough to meet her demands) the surrounding countryside consists of farm land for hundreds of miles around. Engia exports large amounts of food to other nations and these exports make up the majority of her exports. The cities are dependent on the farms for food, and to make sure this supply is constant the government has funded a sprawling Rail road system, ports and other infrastructure projects. The Engian goverment invests in science research, infrastructure and power for its people, which come from hundreds of Fusion Boxes.
Land Claims(for when we get a map up): ---- Something big and juicy ... :)
History: A former food colony, Engia early on gained independence after her mother nation collapsed in a large depression. This economic collapsed forced Engia to declare her independence with external help and establish her own economy in order to avoid anarchy. The lack of manufactured goods at first harmed her economy but forced the country to embrace industry to meet her demand for manufactured goods. The result was the booming of port cities into large metropolises and strong national infrastructure. Engia, after the invention of the Fusion hotbox, quickly endorsed the new technology as a was to generate clean power for the masses, and began to pour money into uses for the boxes and the next great invention.

All who have applied except Caecuser are accepted. That brings us to 6 members.

I'm also looking for a co-op.

Caecuser, just get rid of the mechanical troops and lower the steam tanks, then I'll let you in.

Here is a map making site. All you have to do is copy and post the image.

I thought I could do this again, but I have too much on my plate. I have to actually give up on this. Sorry everyone.

well it is possible to do it, it is just that the image is to big. You can however save the image onto your computer, throw it through paint(Make whatever makings are needed) and post it on photobucket or pixlr(Or another photo sharing site...deviantart perhaps).

I never said robots like modern robots, I meant cogs and gears powered by steam. Old fantasy, clunky robots.

On that basis, I vote for; but only on the condition that they have some enforced drawbacks, somethinf like:

1) Unreliable or a tendancy to break down (think WW1 tank here).
2) Slow- like restricted to shambling.
3)Vulnerable to: tesla-type weapons, sniper fire (target weak spots) and specialist close combat troops (who take them to bits or suchlike).

Some of these issues could be worked out later on, but the 'bots should always be a trade-off with their human counterparts.

I vote no, because how are they powered and how do they do the stuff they do without computers?

They're powered by Steampower; meaning that every so often they need to be topped up. Of course they could be powered by that cold fusion thingy in the OP.

And they do stuff without computers by having their own mechanical version of a brain; constructed from thousands of tiny gears and clockwork inside their head which gives them a weak spot.

And they're also weak to tesla and sniper fire as mentioned earlier by someone. I don't see how they can be overpowered at all.

EDIT: Also, even with the mechanical soldiers I have a smaller army than just about everyone, why can't I keep them?

Ah, all right. But they could still be plugged into it for a while and then run off of battery power until they need topping off again; or just rely on Steampower.

Well, it all really depends. Some varieties might exhaust their power at quicker rates. Really I'd imagine it as just like us needing to eat and drink in order to survive.

EDIT: Also, if you do not have one, you should keep a list of accepted players in the OP.

A maximum combat time of a couple of hours would stop the 'bot from being too powerful as they would be quickly worn down in a battle of attrition; they would have to be used a a shock unit with little staying power. This would make them a good suppliment for normal troops, rather than an autonomous formation; I suggest running them out of 'carrier' land ships for power and as a handicap.

Yeah; I can also promise not to godmod in order to win since winning is not the objective of the RP. We're just trying to have a bit of fun here.

I think you're reading too much into this; it states in my app that I only have ~700 000 of them at the beginning along with ~300 000 Human Soldiers. Some people who have applied have more than that combined in just Human Soldiers and as we've demonstrated there are as many drawbacks to the Mechanical Soldiers as there are Human Soldiers.

I'll also note that my tech level is a 10; what else am I going to use that tech on?

Look, the O.P. has already forbidden it and I and several other players have expressed our desire to not have automated soldiers. It is far too easy to overpower them. You build more of them, they never say no or feel morale, etc. Then you'll advance them in the R.P. to the point where they're unstoppable. I say no robo-soldiers.

Are you trying to call me a God-modder before the RP has even begun? Why can't I be allowed ~700 000 Mechanical Soldiers when you can mobilize 5 000 000 Human Soldiers?

Stop trying to overblow them, they're nowhere near as overpowered as you.
