[Confederated Southern States]

Savior walked up to Mayfield, a M5A1 in his hands and a M2 pistol on his left leg. He poked him on the shoulder. and asked "Can I come?"

"Hell yeah!" Colonel Mayfield said as he slapped his head playfully.

Scarecrow double checked his shock spray and adjusted his fingerless gloves.

"All right ladies, quick, clean and efficiant. Let's do this!" Scarecrow said as he fired a round in the air as motivation.

[Mavorpen]

"Tell Tojo "thanks for the gift"." Colonel Mayfield said as he turned to his men.

"Everyone, listen up. We're making a special trip to Manassas. We're launching an attack on a bio lab, where the Endless are experimenting on humans. Get your gear ready, and report out front in five. Hooah!" He saluted and went to his jeep.

Yuri sighed. Americans are the strangest. She was suddenly caught in a bear hug from behind. Machi screamed, "Mom!" like a giddy five year old and then gasped as Yuri disappeared out of her grasp, causing her to almost fall over on her face. Yuri wrapped her arms around Machi and said with a wide smile, "Nice try, but no."

Yuri released her and Machi turned around, pouting. "That's not fair."

"You'll just have to try harder next time," Yuri stated with a playful grin.

[Galnius]

Colonel Mayfield shook his head at Napalm.

"Hell no, if you're not one hundred percent you sit your ass down, son. We risked too much for you to die on us now." He signaled him off.

Alex pulled down his M50 gas mask, waiting for the filters to function and his eyes to adjust to the lenses. On the outside, his eyes appeared red, but this was a simple illusion.

"Ready to go." He announced, his voice now a low-pitched, muffled growl.

Jessica repeated the same process with her mask, and switched her handgun's rounds to armor-piercing. She made sure her computer was armed and ready.

Napalm showed a side of him rarely seen. "SO YOU JUST WANT ME TO SIT AROUND TWIDDLING MY THUMBS WHILE YOU RISK YOUR LIVES? NOT...HAPPENING. I HAVE KNIVES. I CAN FIGHT. I....can...............fight."

Colonel Mayfield stared Napalm down.

"You're not coming, Arthur. End of story."

He turned back to his group.

"All right, time to go whoever's coming!"

Scarecrow was practically shaking with energy at this point, while Shade simply cracked her knuckles.

Vengeance put his hand on Napalm's shoulder shaking his head. Napalm reacted wildly. "Don't even start with me. You attacked Jack, destroyed a subway, and God knows what else. You have NO reason to enter this." He then turned to Scarecrow, still venting. "And YOU. You don't even act like anything is wrong half the time. Are you souless or something? Do you even care what happens out there? All I can see is ice cream, sex, and showing off. WE ARE IN A WAR!"

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT ME TO DO, SIT AROUND AND CRY ABOUT?! MAYBE I FUCKING DO, AND YOU JUST DON'T SEE IT BECAUSE I'M TRYING TO NOT TAKE AWAY PEOPLE'S HOPE!" Scarecrow screamed back at Napalm.

"SHUT UP!!!" Shade yelled over everybody.

Everyone remained silent.

"Thank you. Let's go."

Colonel Mayfield stared Napalm down.

"You're not coming, Arthur. End of story."

He turned back to his group.

"All right, time to go whoever's coming!"

Jack looked at him, and, talking to him telepathically, stated what Napalm had said to him. "'Stay with us man. We already have enough people over the edge.' Remember that, man? Well, remember it"

Jack gave a look over to May. "Help him." May rolled her eyes and walked over to Napalm. She grabbed whatever hurt rather forcefully and poured Aura into it.

"I'm not a miracle worker, mind you, but this should.... speed up the healing."

"It isn't physical. It's....something else." With that, he walked away. He entered the infirmary tent and closed the flaps.

"God, why is everyone such an ass anymore." Scarecrow spat disgustedly as he climbed into the back of a jeep.

"I think you know that people show their true colors under stress." Shade stated as-a-matter-of-factly.

"Fuckin' A..."

Cedric opted to stay outside of the jeep, instead walking up to the Colonel. "Could I get the location of this facility? I'm thinking about scouting ahead while we go there."

Colonel Mayfield gave him the coodinates as he got into the driver's seat of his jeep.

"Thirty seconds ladies!" He called out.

"Thank you." Cedric said. He then ran out on the assumed path, making good use of his super speed. Cedric already had his blade out, if anything was on the roads it wouldn't be for long.
Darin and Luis
They got in the jeep.

Jack and May got in the jeep. May scrunched up her shoulders. She hated this so much. Jack kind of awkwardly put his hat over his eyes and waited for the car to start.

Colonel Mayfield started his jeep, and all the others followed. The convoy of about ten sped off onto the road, heading out to Manassas.

[Galnius]

Vengeance caught up to Shade. "He needed that." he said. He walked away as Plasma came up. "I've never seen him like this. It was like, like he felt hopeless."

Shade shook her head.

"He needs to grow up."

Cedric opted to stay outside of the jeep, instead walking up to the Colonel. "Could I get the location of this facility? I'm thinking about scouting ahead while we go there."

"Grow up? You realize he was the one keeping control just hours ago. Did you ever find out how he got so injured? I mean, I've seen a building fall on him before, it never did THIS."

Shade simply glared at Plasma.

"I don't know, ok? I have enough problems of my own to take care of; now stop talking to me."

Scarecrow gave Plasma a look that said you better listen to her.

[Mavorpen]

Yuri glanced at the jeeps that were waiting for the group and watched as everyone piled into them. She scowled and said, "Yeah, no thanks." She turned to Machi and said, "Would you like to go on foot? We can catch up while we travel."

Machi beamed and pointed to the trees. Yuri smiled and nodded. "Yes, of course." The two watched as the jeeps pulled off. Machi and Yuri ran after them and upon reaching the road, they both turned to the right and quickly scaled a tree that stood next to the road, then began jumping from tree to tree as they followed the jeeps to Manassas.

Yuri suddenly asked, "So, are you married yet?"

Machi made a disgusted face. "Ew, no! Of course not!"

Yuri sighed. "Come on now, you're getting old. You should be looking right now."

Machi rolled her yes. "Mom, I'm 19. That's not old at all. Besides, you're one to talk. You aren't married and you're how old, exactly?" Several seconds passed with utter silence between them.

Yuri simply said, "So, how's it been since you came to the States?"

With a grin, Machi replied, "Nice job changing the subject."

[Galnius]

Shade simply glared at Plasma.

"I don't know, ok? I have enough problems of my own to take care of; now stop talking to me."

Scarecrow gave Plasma a look that said you better listen to her.

Vengeance, ignoring everything, entered a jeep. "Let's get this over with."

ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATER...

Colonel Mayfield stopped his jeep, parking several yards away from the facility. A few Endless had to be gunned down on the way there, but it was nothing the group couldn't handle. He hopped out and quickly took cover behind a wall.

"Supers are going in first, the rest of us will wait out here for the time being, providing cover fire. Am I clear?"

"Clear." Everyone responded in unison.

"All right. Scarecrow, take point."

Scarecrow flashed a salute and motioned for the heros to follow him into the building.

Cedric
Cedric was disappointing when he found out that some of the endless got past him. Well, that's what happens when you try to protect a jeep from a kilometer out in front of it. Cedric though as he once again nonchalantly walk around, this time following Scarecrow into the building.
Luis
Luis pulled out both his guns and switched out his rounds for his JHP rounds. He doubted that he'd have to fight other super powered people inside, and it would only take a second to switch to EMP or power inhibitor anyways. So, he had both guns out.
Darin
Darin had his gun out and was up just behind Alex, following him into the building. It was nice being on the offensive, it doesn't happen nearly enough.

"Vengance, sense anything ahead?" Scarecrow's muffled voiced asked as he armed his M4.

[Aidannadia]

Jack followed Scarecrow quietly, waiting to be ordered.

May was all the way up at the front of the group, pretty much on Scarecrow's shoulder. She was anticipating a good fight.

[Mavorpen]

Yuri and Machi had actually reached the facility some time before the rest of the group. Hey, they had the height advantage. Upon being told by Mayfield that the heroes would enter first, she and Machi decided to join Scarecrow and May at the very front. Their strength and speed would be beneficial should they meet someone dangerous.

[Galnius]

"Vengance, sense anything ahead?" Scarecrow's muffled voiced asked as he armed his M4.

"Nothing yet. But keep an eye out anyway. I might miss something."
